I saw a lot of reels in Instagram which bright me here when I visited my sister. The restaurant itself isn't a flashy place but a huge neon sign of 'Mumbai' melted my heart immediately making me feel home, making me nostalgic. We had a cute waiter who was very friendly and also helped us with our food choice. The owner, Mr Mukesh is very friendly and made us try ' missal Pav' and 'vada Pav' from his nearby restaurant as this was more of an Indo western restaurant. Overall the food tasted authentic and was reminiscent of Mumbai. Bombay Sizzler is in the shopping center right by In and Out off of Mac Arthur Road. There are about 3 other Indian restaurants right by it. The only reason I visited this place was cause their menu had the Bombay style triple schezwan fried rice which is a rice and noodles stir fried. Spicy sauce served along with Schezwan gravy sauce. The triple rice was amazing and reminded me of the food back in Mumbai. Chicken chilli appetizer was okay nothing to make me want to try it again. I will be trying other items on the menu very soon and will report back The decor is pretty nice and great seating and lighting arrangements. I recently stopped by after they had moved to their new location. We had some friends in town who really wanted Fusion Indo-Chinese. They loved this place. The service was prompt even though we had a large party on New Year's Eve. We had the fried cauliflower, pakoda, and samosa for appetizers. All of it was tasty. For the main dishes, we had sizzler platter with different meats, the fusion rice, and fusion noodles. All of it was tasty. I would avoid the tradition biryani dishes as they were a little below par. But, all the fusion dishes were excellent. The atmosphere is causal, the service was prompt, and the food was tasty. We will definitely come again. read more

I've come here twice and I love it! It's never busy during the day but it seems to get busy at night. The indian food here is delicious. I'll just say it right here...the best thing I've had here and I actually dream about is the Kali mircha dish. Everything we've had is great but I'm partial to this dish and no one else has it! It's a lovely green curry sauce and there's a spicy kick too! I've had it only with paneer but I'm sure it's great with all the meats! Highly recommend this place! It's a little dark but very roomy. Picked up a large order to go from Bombay Sizzlers recently and was pleased. If you are sensitive to spice then please do not try anything more than mild. Warning you in advance don't say we didn't tell you!! I can't speak to the ambiance of the place but I have heard it's great for casual dinners and late night eats. As far as price goes, to my understanding Bombay Sizzlers is known for their sizzler plates which would be priced higher for the presentation. However, I would say that it is a bit overpriced when taking it to go. Regardless, food was good. I'd come again, but maybe not take it to go as I feel that we're paying a premium we may not be receiving. Mango Lassis are also good! I'd be interested in trying their saffron lassi. read more

They sat us down immediately, our server had great energy and took care of us , constantly kept checking in on us. We ordered our food which was butter chicken and kadhai chicken with naan everything came out hot and fresh and within 15 minutes which was great because we were all STARVING! We just randomly stumbled upon this joint while trying to find Indo Chinese food and were surprised to find this buffet place. Amazing and yummiest Chicken 65's that we had after a very long time. This place offers both vegetarian manchurians and kebabs(tikka and seekh) all nicely done and prepared fresh. Once the buffet items finished there staff immediately replenished with fresh servings. Highly impressed with the staff's courtesy and hospitality, inspite of opting buffet food they served us the fresh Chicken 65 and Manchurians along with garlic naan's right away at table. Loved it! Had some guests and the consensus was tawa or tandoor style Indian dishes. Research led me to place an order with Bombay Sizzlers. I've been around the area multiple times shopping at the Patel Bros next door, but never tried the food at their neighbor's. The food included: Bombay Mix Grill - This is a ton of various types of tandoor grilled items and totally worth getting. The tandoor style shrimp were plump and juicy. The sheekh kebabs were flavorful and tender. The chicken tikka had a brilliant char and cooked to perfection. Chicken pahari was moist and tender. Only let back was the tangadi chicken which was dry and overcooked. But all that variety? Overlooked that one detail easily. The mixed fried rice, in this case the proteins being chicken, shrimp and goat was done excellently in typical Indo-Chinese fashion. As a connoisseur of this particular dish, I've eaten my fair share around the city and this place does one of the best. The mutton rogan josh didn't have the typical fiery red color that you'd come to expect with this dish. Aesthetics aside, it sure did deliver in flavor. Companions and I almost came to blows to sop up the last bits of that delicious gravy or fall off the bone goat meat with pieces of divine chili garlic naan bread. I'm from Houston and Houston is know for its Indian food. Since I've came to Dallas I have struggled to find amazing Indian food. This was until I had lunch at Bombay sizzler. Mike was amazing during there lunch buffett service and was meticulous in ensuring that we had a great experience. I've been to so many Indian restaurants in Dallas and have had food from various Dallas restaurants while attending weddings. All Dallas Indian food pales in comparison to Bombay sizzler. Again shout out to Mike and Vishva, the food was amazing, and even the drinks were great! Such an amazing vibe with both food and drinks. My wife and I stopped by to have dinner with a couple of friends to get our Indian fix. There was a bit of confusion to where their actual location was since we didn't know they relocated from their former place. So on to the food. I ordered the butter chicken that comes with pulled dark meat, which was nice, but I would characterize it as fairly average. It doesn't have the flavor punch that really good butter chicken has, but since it uses dark meat, it gets a bit of a bump. The basil prawns were pretty good and flavorful, but doesn't come with any rice or side dish. So it's a bit over priced for what you get. We also got the lamb chops, which were tender and really flavorful - really quite good. But similar to the shrimp.. nothing comes with it, so this is way overpriced for what you get. We also ordered their "loaded nachos", which come with a bit of tikka sauce and shredded cheese. This was pretty bad as the sauce was minimal, and the shredded cheese was cold and not melted at all. I wouldn't recommend ordering that at all. I really don't think I'd go out of my way to return or try this place... though their naan was quite good. read more

There were barely any tables occupied for the buffet which made us skeptical at start but that came to our benefit as items were being filled in smaller quantities and we got hot food yo eat. We met up with some friends here on a Sunday evening. We opted to sit out on the patio as it was a beautiful evening. The patio is really nice and huge. The major plus side was the view on the patio was awesome. We were right next to the canal. We started off with the Papad, Gobi Manchurian which consists of stir-fried cauliflower (dry extra crispy), and Jeera Aloo (diced potato cooked with whole chilies and cumin seeds). The stir-fried cauliflower was so freaking good. I loved the extra crisp and there was plenty of seasoning to it. I could eat this dish all on my own as it was so good. The Papad was really good. It came with 3 sauces. The tomato sauce was really spicy but it was delicious. The diced potatoes were really good too. Meal wise: We ordered the Tandoor Chicken bone in and boneless. The chicken was flavored really well and I loved the fact there were grilled onions and peppers accompanied with the chicken on a sizzler. We also ordered the Chicken Vindaloo in which I thought was okay. I didn't expect the Chicken Vindaloo to be so tomato based. Next time, I'll have to order the Chicken Tikka Masala as that is what the Chicken Vindaloo reminded me of. Thanks to Yelp's offer, I was able to try to Mango Lassi and it was really good. I visited this place for a weekday dinner with some of my friends. The place is situated besides the Patel Brothers (famous Indian Grocery store) and serves Indian cuisine. Here is my perspective about the place. Food (2.5/5) -. We first ordered "Sidha Tandoor Se" sizzler. The Tandoori aloo and Hara Bhara Kabab was good but the panner tikkas lacked flavors. Also, the daal makhani that was served with platter was pathetic. One of the worst daal makhani I had in recent times. Then I went on to try their Triple Fried Rice. Even that tasted very average. Also, portions were less compared to the prices. Service (2/5) - The service was very poor. I agree that Tandoori items take time and they told it would take around 20 mins but it took way much more than that. On top of that, they even forgot to serve mango lassi ordered by my friend. It was a Thursday night and still the place was almost full. Maybe that could be the reason for this. They didn't expect these many people and then didn't have staff to cater that many people. Ambience (4/5) - This was the best thing about the place. Their ambience tries to show the famous places in Mumbai. They have made multiple sections inside the restaurant such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Hanging Gardens, Gateway of India. The design on walls differentiate the sections. Came here one right after grocery shopping at Patel Brothers. It has a very cool ambience inside that makes you feel the restaurant was made in a movie theater. Although the food is a little bit on the pricey your side the concept of being able to turn any dish into Sizzler's is fascinating and very enjoyable. We got up anear dish with noodles and sizzler's and my husband got chicken. We also got Indo Chinese hot and sour soup which honestly is something I must have if I see on the menu anywhere I go! The food tasted great was seasoned well and not overly spicy. The wait staff was very nice and there was Indian music playing throughout the evening. Because Sizzler's are meant to be eaten hot it was hard to take the food to go. The portions were very large and we definitely shared our dishes and over ordered. There are so many dishes to choose from that I recommend asking the wait staff what they recommend and don't get bogged down with appetizers just go straight for the main dish! read more
