I recently stopped by after they had moved to their new location. We had some friends in town who really wanted Fusion Indo-Chinese. They loved this place. The service was prompt even though we had a large party on New Year's Eve. We had the fried cauliflower, pakoda, and samosa for appetizers. All of it was tasty. For the main dishes, we had sizzler platter with different meats, the fusion rice, and fusion noodles. All of it was tasty. I would avoid the tradition biryani dishes as they were a little below par. But, all the fusion dishes were excellent. The atmosphere is causal, the service was prompt, and the food was tasty. We will definitely come again.

Delicious LENTIL SOUP and a Tantalizing FISH SIZZLER reminiscent of YOKOs and KOBE's SIZZLERS to light up the palate on a chilly Winter night, at the BOMBAY SIZZLERS in Irving, TX! 'SIZZLERS' trace their origins arguably from the fine art of the Japanese 'TEPPAN YAKI', known as 'HIBACHI' in this country. Sizzler steaks are often prepared using high-heat to sear the outside while leaving the inside moist. Usually served on cast iron skillets, the steak lets off a dramatic hiss of steam ("Sizzle"), which lends it enormous appeal, and also its name! The Sizzler made it way to South East Asia, to Bombay (now Mumbai), with the first establishment named (what else!) 'SIZZLER' that opened near Bombay's legendary Excelsior Cinema way back in 1963. The phenomenal success of this culinary concept inspired KOBE's SIZZLERS and YOKO's SIZZLERS in Bombay, which became celebrity magnets over the years! I have actually met ANUPAM KHER and AAMIR KHAN, spoken to MANISHA KOIRALA, and spotted the nubile and teenage "BEBO", long before she grew up to celebrity as Bollywood superstar KAREENA KAPOOR, at YOKO's SIZZLERS in Bombay, and have fond memories of the sizzling skillets of pure spicy steaks of chicken, fish, and goat (mutton), that we could not get enough of! So it is indeed a culinary delight to experience the joy of imbibing the iconic YOKO's and KOBE's SIZZLERS from BOMBAY right here in our neck of the woods at the BOMBAY SIZZLERS SPORTS BAR and GRILL in Irving, TX! Given their fairly eclectic Menu comprising classics from the Streets of Mumbai, interspersed with delights from North India, as well as a compelling array of "Desi Flatbreads" including NAANs, KULCHAs and especially their amazing ROOMALI ROTI that we highly recommend, with the piping hot LENTIL SOUP (called MULLIGATAWNY on the menu!:-)) that we can't get enough of! Also highly recommended is the MIX GRILL SIZZLER comprising an assortment of all their Chicken and Goat Seekh Kababs which is a complete meal complemented by the flat breads! Did I mention that if you yearn for some BOMBAY CHAAT before you "sizzle" or after, you can satiate your cravings at the BOMBAY CHOWPATTY right next door that is also owned and run by MUKESH SOMAYA, the owner and restauranteur and the consummate "Bambai ka Chokra" who has thrived in this town over the last 20 years and is rockin' and rolling'! Good food, good service, good ambience. We liked it as food was served spicy. Naan is not the best here as they didn't have the texture of one coming out of a tandoor oven

Had some guests and the consensus was tawa or tandoor style Indian dishes. Research led me to place an order with Bombay Sizzlers. I've been around the area multiple times shopping at the Patel Bros next door, but never tried the food at their neighbor's. The food included: Bombay Mix Grill - This is a ton of various types of tandoor grilled items and totally worth getting. The tandoor style shrimp were plump and juicy. The sheekh kebabs were flavorful and tender. The chicken tikka had a brilliant char and cooked to perfection. Chicken pahari was moist and tender. Only let back was the tangadi chicken which was dry and overcooked. But all that variety? Overlooked that one detail easily. The mixed fried rice, in this case the proteins being chicken, shrimp and goat was done excellently in typical Indo-Chinese fashion. As a connoisseur of this particular dish, I've eaten my fair share around the city and this place does one of the best. The mutton rogan josh didn't have the typical fiery red color that you'd come to expect with this dish. Aesthetics aside, it sure did deliver in flavor. Companions and I almost came to blows to sop up the last bits of that delicious gravy or fall off the bone goat meat with pieces of divine chili garlic naan bread. They have such a plethora of menu items and it will be awesome to explore more of it.

Loaded nachos. Not good at all.

I haven't had vada pav sliders before but the filling is kind of like fried samosa filling without the dough. It's good. The serving size of the biryani was very impressive. You can see from the photo that they fill the container and then add another mound of rice on top of that - basically 2 servings (we took one home). And they didn't skimp on the chicken either! The chicken is cooked perfectly, the sauces are a great complement and this is an excellent dish. The Lunch Thali gives you a lot of bang for your buck and mine included ~5 pieces of fish fry, about the same amount of veg pakora, yogurt dip, chicken curry with rice, 2 different soups, a naan/tortilla thing, and a carrot dessert (like a halwa). All had good flavor and the soups have a nice spicy kick to them. However, since all the dishes for the thali come off the lunch line (ie all premade), the tortilla, fish and pakoras had been sitting out for awhile and not too hot. Had they come out fresh from the fryer, I might have given this experience 5 stars. As it stands, I'll probably be back for lunch anyways - and the thali is available 7 days a week!

Our server was attentive and explained the menu was more "Modern Indian" food versus "Traditional Indian" food. We followed our server's lead and ordered the Bharwan Paneer Tikka along with traditional Somosas for appetizers. The Samosas were tasty but were a bit on the tiny side. The Bharwan Paneer Tikka was the standout dish of the evening. For our main dishes, we ordered the Dal Tadka, Bhindi Do Pyaza, and New Delhi Butter Chicken. We ordered some additional Garlic Naan and White Rice to accompany the main dishes. All the dishes were pretty standard without being too spicy. You might be a little disappointed if you like your Indian Food on the spicier level. We finished off with Rasmali and Kulfi Falooda. The Rasmali was the highlight of dessert. The flavors of pistachio and the accompanying sauce was a great combination. Overall, Sanjh is a fancy Indian Restaurant. I would return for a special event given the upscale atmosphere. You also have to open to interpretations of traditional Indian Cuisine.
