    Chilli Momo

Angela and Kabu were super nice. I got Chilli momo and it was spicy and spectacular. I'm only here for a day and lucked into this place because it was by my hotel. Next time I come to DFW I'm coming here.

    Goat Thali set

I got into Dallas fairly late at night, and was looking for a better place to eat than Taco Bell. I found this restaurant which is open late and serves Nepali and Indian food. I wasn't disappointed. The wonderful Nepali waitress gave me lots of suggestions, and I ended up choosing the goat thali. It came with a huge number of side dishes, which really made the meal. There was a jackfruit dish, goat curry, lentil soup, a sweet carrot dessert, and spicy pickles and vegetables. What a feast! I would love to try everything else on the menu.

    Chicken Korma

The quality of food was really a let down. Ordered chicken korma and got something completely different. Watered down soup with pieces of half cooked chicken. Do not waste your time and money. To add insult to injury they don't answer the phone.

First don't let the outside fool you. The place inside is quaint and the staff make you feel like you are a guest in their home eating authentic Nepali food. Not only was everything fresh and traditional but served to make you feel like you are in a different country. Great experience

(English down below)…read more Saliendo del aeropuerto DFW, busqué algún restaurante que tuviera sopa de mariscos; no sé de dónde vino el antojo. Digo yo... no sé. ------------------------------------- Leaving DFW airport, I found myself craving seafood soup--no idea where the craving came from. I searched for nearby options and El Viejón came up. I checked the online menu and reviews, then drove 13 minutes, only to discover a real gem. What I loved: The service was excellent. Nidia took care of us--she was not only kind, but also attentive and efficient. Adolfo, the manager, is a great guy. The simple but important things: Their plastic cups are surprisingly original. The menu is simple and humorous. Prices are fair for the generous portions they serve. What truly impressed me: The seafood soup. This kind of soup is simple: either you know how to make it, or you don't--and when you don't, it ends up like the one at Pappadeaux... something to cry about. This one, however, is loaded with seafood (crab, clams, octopus, fish, shrimp, squid, etc.). It has a subtle sweetness, and you can taste every distinct note. Highly recommended. One soup is more than enough for one person. I learned that lesson too late--after also ordering the grilled octopus. I had to get it to go because it was simply too much food. My only two complaints: The tostadas they serve come with chicken that looks like tuna but tastes like plastic. My dog was with me and wouldn't even eat it--which says a lot. Very strange. The other issue is the music: too loud and all from the same genre. If the goal is to honor Mexican culture, there are so many genres to choose from. Just saying--I don't know. Fixing these two things would take the experience at El Viejón to another level. El Viejón--highly recommended.

We were seated by the window, which gave us a great view and made for a wonderful atmosphere. I had the Molly Cosmo along with the Prime Rib Dip, and both were delicious! Our group also ordered the chicken sandwich, mac and cheese, the crab and Parmesan dip, and the pork chop with mashed potatoes. Every single dish earned a 5-star review from our table! I don't remember our server's name, but he was originally from the Los Angeles area if that helps identify him. He was fantastic, friendly, attentive, kept our drinks full, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Great food, great service, and a place we'll definitely be coming back to. 5/5 stars!
