On the high side of low, if you catch my meaning; the food is okay, not spectacular. I've had worse though, to be certain, but the quality doesn't merit a $3 delivery fee on GrubHub. The samosas, rice and naan were decent, but the paneer makhani was all sauce and very little paneer, and the few cubes they threw in were tiny. The food is also mild to the point of being borderline bland, if you can believe it. Judging from where this place is located, I'm willing to bet that a lot of the people who eat there can't do a lot of spice, which is fine, but they should give their customers the option to request the spice level on their food. Overall, good for cheap eats if you're in the mood for Indian, but short on cash. Otherwise, I'd suggest getting your Indian fix somewhere else. read more

Phenomenal! I needed to satisfy my craving for Indian cuisine and feel lucky to find Agra Grill in my area. I ordered with Grubhub, and they arrived earlier than estimated. The food was warm, and the samosas impressed my family. Now I can get Mango Lassi and vegetarian options without venturing out of the Bronx. Will order again soon. read more

When I first ordered from this restaurant, the food was authentic, delicious and fresh. The woman that used to take the orders was so nice and accommodating. Sorry to say, things have drastically changed for the worst. Today was the third time in a row I have ordered and they delivered half my order. My food mediocre at best. It wasn't hot like I reqested and it lacked any spices...it was bland. Just bland. I called back and informed them(after explaining 3 times) and they told me the man told me my missing item would be delivered shortly. Here I am an hour later and still no fried mushrooms. I called again and the young man that answered tells me he never charged me for the mushrooms!!! So not only did they charge me (which he did) my signed receipt and bank records say that he in fact did. They never intended to send my missing food! After some back and forth, He finally says my food will be here in a few minutes. There aren't many options for South Asian food and I am disappointed this place has gone downhill. I have no incentive to order from Agra Grill again. read more

Agra Grill is an amazing restaurant that serves great food and the staff is very courteous and hospitable. I'd recommend anyone who's looking for great food and great customer service come here. I've tried everything from their Naan's to Lamb Curry it's all great and they even have spices if mild food just doesn't hit the spot for your taste buds. read more

First impressions are not always critical, but when ones going out to eat it plays a part. A'pon enter the restaurant,me and my friend notice no one at the counter in the dimly lit restaurant. Walking closer and calling out hello. A young man pops up from behind the counter." Holy shit wtf. Where did you come from i asked . As my friend started laughing. I was here all the time the young man replied. Asking if we wanted take out or to stay. We looked around and said lets stay,. We made our move to the decorated table that no one has sat at for a while and was slightly sticky. I could tell this restaurant makes most of its revenue from deliveries. Ordering the food was already set in motion. I already knew what i wanted. I grabbed for the lamb curry with rice and an appetizer of samosa. My friend order dansak ,which is a Persian curry made of lamb and some nann bread that came with it and rice. We also had mango lassi. Which i think is fine but i don't like mango as much. I was surprised by the freshness of the meal and the flavors that seeped from the dish as a whole. Felt like i was back in ancient india. With some old fart with a white beard playing the sitar next to me as i feasted on flavors brought from the spice roads. As someone being from Indian decent . I loved the food.. it was just that sticky table! read more

Our delivery guy Kuresh was great. He came a long way to get us our food, which we really appreciate. The food was very good. We would definitely order again. read more

Good food, good price, decent atmosphere and fine local location. We're vegans, so finding another option in the Bronx is a cause for celebration. We tried it after a trip to the Botanic Garden. We started with assorted appetizer (OK, OK, the paneer pakora is a cheese thing, so we're not strict vegans, just, like, 98%). We took home lemon rice, vegetable biryani, malai kofta, and tiny containers of condiments. Everything was delicious. read more

I placed an order with a one hour delivery time. It was a Friday so I was fine waiting. But after an hour and a half I called. They said I was next in line...... I was next in line for the next 1.5 hours. Food was cold, and I ordered samosas, gross. They promised a refund but then later refused. I'll never order here again. Honestly just choose somewhere else. Anywhere else. read more

I was surprised when this place first opened. It was, and is, the first Indian/halal restaurant in Williamsbridge (which is mostly dominated by fast food, Caribbean, Latin, Pizza parlors, and generic Chinese restaurants). I've ordered on several occasions and the food is always very good. It's a family run place with very kind, super-friendly service. Their samosa is really good. So is their chicken tikka masala and chicken dilder. The goat achari is great, too. Delivery can sometimes be a little slow (usually only takes about 40 mins), but it's worth it. It's not fast food, and they're actually take the time to season it so I can be patient. Very refreshing addition to this part of the Bronx. Highly recommend! read more

Amazing, authentic Indian food and great service. The number one restaurant I've been to in New York my entire trip

This hole is the wall spot had some of the best Indian food. The people were very friendly and courteous. Everything we ate was delicious and flavorful. read more

Glad to have good Indian food in the Northeast Bronx. Just finished eating their food- everything was cooked well. They offer a deal where you get an appetizer, entree and naan bread for $13.95. It took an hour via Grub Hub but that was the expected delivery time prior to ordering. Would order again. read more

So happy to find this spot in the Up here that delivers. The food was very flavorful and I will definitely be ordering again.

The worst place ever. I wish I could give them zero stars. I placed my order, after 2 hours i was told the delivery guy was at the wrong address and will not deliver the food to me. To make matters worse they charged my credit card for food that never got delivered to me. I suggest you don't waste time ordering food at this place. read more

I ordered for delivery and they were an hour late and offer to give me 10% off. This is horrible customs service. I did not accept the food and will not order from them again. read more

I ordered a late night delivery through seamless. Food was delivered in a timely manner and I was greeted by a very friendly delivery man, Ambria! Thank you Ambria for walking up 10 flights of stairs to the 5th floor! I will definitely order from here again! read more

Definitely more of a takeout place but we dined in. The food was delicious and we enjoyed a large offering of seafood options. The best part was the lovely staff. The owners actually care about the food they serve and I was also really happy to see how nicely they treated the young men doing deliveries. We will definitely be back and have this food delivered too. read more

Scrumptious comfort food. Generous portions that will leave you with a craving for more for days.

I have ordered from Agra Grill a few times, and always enjoyed the food. Their delivery times tend to be on the high end of the estimate (for example, 60 minute estimate, it might come in 70 minutes). This time, I ordered, and got two confirmations (order confirmation and delivery status confirmation within the hour). By the time we got to an hour and 45 minutes, I called the restaurant to cancel the order. The woman who answered sounded annoyed and said yes, yes I told you it would be right there. I said that I had only just called, so I didn't know what she was talking about but that I still needed to cancel the order. Mid sentence I realize I am getting yelled at by a man (I guess he handed him the phone) saying I needed to give them five minutes more. I said unfortunately it had already been way beyond the delivery time and I needed to cancel the order and confirm my card hadn't been charged. He hung up on me, so I called back. I repeated my story again, and he said you need to give me five minutes I will call the driver. I said I'm not interested in that anymore because it's now been nearly two hours, and I got two separate confirmation texts that my food was arriving an hour ago through grub hub. He hung up on me again. I called back and said I don't need you to hang up on me, just please confirm my order is cancelled. He laughed and said it was grub hub's problem and not his. Then hung up a third time. This place isn't cheap, and in any case I don't appreciate being spoken down to and hung up on when I call with a legitimate complaint. Never again. Tell your friends not to bother with this place. read more

Absolutely horrible service. Note: this rating is based on service not on food ... because I didn't even get a chance to get the food. I ordered a Lunch Special and Naan for my lunch break 30 minutes before my break started, as they told me over the phone it would take 30 minutes. I waited 50 minutes, and still my lunch did not come so I called them over the phone to ask what the holdup was with my order. The person on the phone said their delivery came late and would be there in 10 minutes. My lunch break was almost over at this point and I told him that he better get there soon. Another 25 minutes had passed by and then he calls again and asks what is my address. I told him there was no time for the delivery by this point and was upset that they even had to ask me what my address was when they supposedly already left. I told him to refund my card and cancel the order. They hung up the phone on me. I called one more time and someone else picked up. She said she'll get someone to take care of me put me on hold then hung up the phone on me again. This is absolutely no way to handle or treat paying customers. Was very disappointing by the way they handled the entire situation. So after 1 1/2 hours I was down 15 bucks with no food and had to deal with it with my credit card company. read more
