This little spot in Ralston was completely packed when we walked in for our 7 o'clock reservation for Mother's Day weekend. There was also a concert going on at the Ralston arena so every table was full. We waited until about 730 before we were seated by reservation. During the wait I walked up to the bar to get a drink I waited 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledge me. After we finally were seated we waited another 15 minutes before we flag down someone to come and take our order. We received our meals before our drinks had arrived. The food was decent enough but they just seemed very understaffed for the amount of people that were there. The manager was very apologeticAnd I do understand it was very busy. As usual this restaurant stands out, not only for the wonderful service but also the delicious food!!! The service is always top notch and with COVID requirements being met!! I forgot to take pictures, however; we started off with guacamole, cheese dip and salsa. The meals included chicken chimichangas, steak and shrimp and a steak and chicken fajitas. The meals were so large, we all ended up taking food home for tomorrow!!! I look forward to eating there regularly and will get pictures next time. During my visit I had the ceviche and shared an al pastor dish. The presentation of the foods were stunning and appreciated the detail they went to for the price point. I felt like the thing that stood out the most was the attention the wait staff gave us. My complaint was that the ceviche had no whitefish in it and only had a few shrimp in it. It wasn't traditional ceviche also for the fact it included mango. Overall I would of just called it a mango salsa and felt like I was misguided. Decor is what you would expect an eclectic Spanish style. They serve white sauce which from my understanding is an east coast kind of thing that is very unique and not really comparable to most sauces if it's something you're looking for. read more

Can do better. Very limited vegetarian options. Had the enchiladas (potato enchilada?). Chips were served with salsa and a cup of queso dip. The dip looked old and solidified (top was cracked.) Restroom door sticky (yuck) floor sticky (yuck.) Enchiladas were inedible- drenched in the same sour cream looking queso sauce with more inside the tortillas. Couldn't eat it. First visit at lunch was excellent. I had steak fijitas they were great. My wife had chicken chimmy better than any other area restaurants. Took this place forever to open up and I assume much of the delay was the decor. The place is beautiful inside. Was not busy but hopefully they will get busy and still be great. read more

I must have been there on an off day, given the other reviews. Or maybe I'm spoiled by the great South Omaha restaurants. The host didn't smile upon my entering or leaving. I felt like I was disturbing him. The food was warm, but it hit. The beans were boring and the cheese sauce in my enchiladas tasted like flour...doughy and not a good kind of gooey. I ordered a side of guacamole that reminded me of the store pre made products (I wasn't charged.). My server was pretty good, though she didn't seem to understand my questions about the guacamole. Just tried this place and had an amazing dinner. Service was quick and responsive, always refilled waters and was friendly. The food itself was delicious. Housemade chips, salsa, and white queso to start, all delicious. My husband and I got enchiladas Rojas and enchiladas Verdes, and both of our entrees were perfectly seasoned, melt in your mouth, and looked beautiful on the plate. My significant other and I stopped in for a quick snack...got the chips and salsa and ordered cheese dip...we thought the salsa was dynamite and the cheese dip was wonderful..the chips and salsa also came with a white creamy dip that had a hint of spice. We had never had something like this with our chips and salsa, but it was very good and we finished the entire container. I also ordered tres leche cake..not many restaurants have this..the cake did not disappoint...the table behind us ordered guacamole and they prepared it fresh, table-side. Our waiter Cicielo was great also. The restaurant was clean and invitingly. We plan to go back for a full meal and we are sure this will be our new favorite Mexican restaurant. This place was always one of our favorites in a pre-COVID times and we would always go out of our way to recommend it to friends and family. Throughout the pandemic we tried to support it via takeout as we made a decision to not eat in at restaurants due to safety concerns. We love the food but there's been a noticeable decline in the quality of the service. Tonight will be the last time that we visit. We placed a pickup order off peak and were informed that our order was ready. However, once my pregnant wife and I were at the restaurant we were relegated to a delivery pickup area (aka the bar) where there was a long queue of drivers. We proceeded to wait for an additional HOUR for our own food while they continued to serve people coming into the restaurant. During that time we were ignored by the staff and bartender without being offered so much as water. Nothing was offered to make it right. This was a small order - 2 entrees. Very disappointed in the service and unlikely to return . Sorry to lose this due to service as we really enjoy the food. Tonight was the second visit I've made to Agave Azteca and each time the food and service have been excellent. Complimentary chips and salsa were decent, but I have yet to have better salsa than Jacobo's. Enchiladas are super tasty and the burritos my husband have had were great. Ok so we are regular customers and we come To Agava Azteca often over the last 2 years. We know Jose the manager and he was there. First of all they weren't that busy but with that being said We have a family of 4 and they messed up Two of our four orders. (Disappointed in quality of food too. I thought maybe they got a new chef).They were really wrong I mean allergy gluten wrong which we specified On both orders. Not one of them said sorry or asked if there was something they could do. I asked if we could see the Manager. I saw him there and he did not come over at all. So the young man brought us our bill he didn't say I'm really sorry or anything he just gave us our bill and he said thank you that was it. No discount, not that I expected one but to me that's not the point. If Someone would've just said I'm sorry and acknowledged what happened we would be going back but because of the way they handled this we will not be back. I have been going to the 132nd? Dodge location since it opened, both times. Cocktail while I waited for my Togo order. My last visit I encountered a very bad experience. While looking over the menu members of the kitchen staff proceeded to taunt me. Why? Don't know. However, I was made to feel very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Manager was notified, haven't heard from the owner. It appals me to think that a regular customer ( visited 2-3 times a week) can be treated this way. While I have enjoyed the food and service the actions by the kitchen makes it difficult to go back. Really, what were you thinking!!!! read more

We ate their one time...for Mexican food very over priced... drinks were really high...and cheap on liquor. We paid 28.00 for 4 shots of Grand Marier... go to Maria's and they know how to make drinks and not charge your arm off. The food my husband had got him sick..I just had steak .
