We have had many wonderful experiences at Acapulco. We usually order queso to start and then split a meal because the portions are large. We usually go for the pollo loco which came out differently than we had before but was still very tasty. My mango margarita on the rocks was very syrupy but they're usually better so I'll give them a pass on a super busy Saturday night. Service is always great. Fast, friendly, and professional. Finally stopped in while in Wahoo to try out a family favorite. I could easily tell why they like it so much. We were seated and attended too quickly. We stopped in before an event on a Saturday evening at about 645pm. ordered drinks with two of us ordering the 24 oz jumbo margaritas. They clearly were not 24 oz glasses and tasted like weak ass pre-mix with very little tequila in the mix. All this in a plastic goblet that was way shy of the advertised 24oz. We brought this up to the manager and server and they just wanted to argue and insisted they were 24 oz. Combine that with luke warm food, my Chile Verde burrito had no green sauce on it, and was 90% rice inside, a mens room full of water (leaking urinal) and unclean. The 4 meals were below average considering all of the Mexican places we have eaten at in the Lincoln and Omaha areas. My wife did enjoy her fajitas platter and was the only one we all considered acceptable. We had heard good things about this place. so was kind of surprised to find it not busy on a Saturday Evening. I guess we know why! All four of us are well traveled, dine out alot and know the difference between a good bartended cocktail and food made fresh and with care. AT 12.95 per margarita, I would expect something other than something that came out of a machine! Total for 4 just over $100, Not bad if food and drink are prepared well. Not sure where all the 5 star reviews came from, maybe a lot of these folks don't venture too far from home or have not had the pleasure of the many great Mexican restaurants around the area. When we went to pay the check we asked the manager to get a 8oz cup to prove our angst about charging for a 24 oz drink with a 16oz. cup. He declined and insisted they were 24 oz. unfortunately, we won't be able to support this restaurant in the future as deceptive business practices and mediocre food is a deal killer for us. read more

I ate at Acapulco Mexican Grill with girlfriends this week and lost my necklace while I was there. I didn't notice it missing until I was at home back in Lincoln. Fortunately when my husband returned to inquire ( I had not been successful calling to ask) an employee had found my necklace and it was in the safe. Thought I would try this company one more time since they opened in a new location! Took mom for mom's day! Unfortunately it was a big disappointment! Food is quick and the service is perfect. This is a great stop for a quick filling lunch that is completely affordable. It's location makes it an easy decision whenever we are in the area. However, the food isn't something to write home about. This is good solid Mexican food but not great. The service at Acapulco can be slow, but they make up for it in wonderful food. We have gotten the "Mexican style" tacos, tamales, chili rellenos, enchiladas & crispy tacos. All have been very good & served piping hot! The staff is friendly & they are typically very busy (especially @ lunch). I also appreciate that they have signage on the highway & throughout town, so the place is easy to locate if you are new to the area.
