Failure to acknowledge wrong item sent but kept my $5 up charge.

TRASH!!! No flavor. The only thing I got worth eating was the hot sauce. Second time ordering via a delivery service. I was not content the first time but I opted to try again. ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED. Food: Ordered hot sauce, fufu, oxtail meal with greens (cabbage and "collard"), plantain and JOLLOF rice ($5 up charge). King fish meal with fricassee sauce, yellow rice, greens and plantain, sorrel and cassava leaf stew. Oxtail tasted like only cooked in salt water. Not salty but no flavor, Caribbean nor African. Mostly tender but bland. No jollof rice although I paid extra. King fish dry as the Sahara and the fricassee, not sure what you tube taught them. As a Jamaican, ketchup only would have been better. Plantains were good, 4 pieces per plate. Greens were so-so with just salt for seasoning. Called the restaurant directly to inquire about up charging me for jollof rice but sending yellow rice. He called me a liar and said I never ordered Jollof rice, never was up charged and it was an Uber issue. So, bland food AND VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THIEVES. See pics.

I've tried Africaribbean multiple times because I didn't want to write it off, but it's just OK. The jerk chicken is not spicy and dry and needs more sauce/gravy. I recently ordered from Door Dash and I asked for extra sauce and the chicken was still dry.

I've tried the curry goat, escovitch and fricassee chicken. All have been amazing, food Is fresh and employees are friendly. I like the touch of care they provide by letting me see the food prior to putting in the Togo bag.

I was actually trying to get some clam chowder soup from next door at S&S Seafood next and they ran out so I tried this place. Now I ordered the Ox tails and Curry Goat combo. They give you a lot of food. The oxtail were really tender. The curry goat was not. They needed about another hour of cooking. I also got a side of cassava leaves. They taste like grass but I have had some that were delicious from another carribean spot. The sad part is the meal was close to $32 for disappointment.

    Jerk Chicken, Jollof Rice, Plantains

The chicken is dry but overall it's great taste. I wish it was spicier. The mixed greens is good and Jollof rice is good too. Side note: Request for sauce if have any available

Great food! Great customer service! I always get the steamed king fish platter with jollof rice with curry sauce all over + cabbage/mixed greens + plantain -- a hit every time!

    This is "extra sauce".

Gave it another go and the chicken was fine but the sauce dry. They don't get rid of food after its been out for hours....

Based on the number of times I've been here, I really need to give their food full points. I can't vouch for authenticity of either Caribbean or African food, but I can tell you that the food is great. The service is decent, has definitely improved, but I think since it's a small business, they have few employees and it can sometimes be slow. But everyone is really nice and courteous. We always get the curry chicken and jerk chicken meals. We get the jollof rice and it also comes with plantains (like 2 or 3 max...) and sweet greens. The rice has a slightly sticky texture and looks peppery but it's a little savory without spiciness. The plantains are awesome-- the edges are always slightly crispy to perfection so you get a slight crunch and it's never dry. I thought i wouldn't like the greens but they're also great: cabbage cooked very well without bitterness, with sugar or something added to give a slight sweet flavor. The chicken...falls off the bone...melts in your mouth. I'm not a huge fan of bone pieces but I'll deal with it. I can see why people might say it's bland, because the curry isn't spicy at all...but it still has allot of flavor. The jerk chicken is a little spicier but also could be worse. My biggest complaint is that they always run out of chicken patties. These are pastries filled with curried ground meat (spicy or not spicy). They are yummy!! They also run out of plantains every once in awhile. Overall... I think I need to venture into other things on the menu. Next time I vow to do it.

Jerk Chicken with Jollof Rice, Plantains, and Mixed Greens

First time purchasing food from here. I had the jerk chicken, with jollof rice, plantains, and mixed greens. Everything was really good. Staff was friendly. Not too crowded. Will definitely eat here again.

The plantains on top of it were good but I'm used to receiving more plantains than what this place provides. The oxtail was delicious and the whole grilled fish was just average - it was on the small side and not seasoned well. The puff puff was tasty and I truly enjoyed it. For the portion sizes, the price was too high. I have gotten whole fish twice the size for the same price, as well as more oxtail pieces for a lesser price. So while the food was mostly good it is overpriced.

It's a small, humble place--what some might call a hole-in-the-wall--but it's packed with heart, hospitality, and seriously satisfying portions. On this visit, I went with my usual favorite: Egusi with goat and jollof rice. The flavors were rich, deep, and comforting--the kind of meal that feels like a warm hug from home. The egusi was perfectly seasoned, the goat tender and well-spiced, and the jollof rice full of that signature smoky goodness that's hard to find just anywhere. Yes, the service can be a little slow--but trust me, it's worth the wait. Everything is cooked with care, and you can taste the love in every bite. The staff is warm and welcoming, making the whole experience feel personal and genuine. We came yesterday for our anniversary, and from start to finish, everything was exceptional. First, our waiter Rafael was superb. He truly made the entire experience feel top tier. We've been to their sister restaurant, Tatiana, and really enjoyed it, but I have to say Dogon completely blew us away. The flavors, the spices, and the textures were all perfect.
