Food was delicious! All the meat was juicy and tender. Loved all of my side dishes! Highly recommend the stewed and curry chicken. Service was fast, we got there when they were closing so glad them accommodated us and still made our plates. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have seating outside but it's more of a carryout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 10 out of 10 recommend!

    Rasta pasta with shrimp

I was super disappointed in my Rasta pasta. It tasted like someone over cooked the pasta and then threw thousand island dressing on it. I let the staff know when I came in and told them they might wanna try it.. He remade it within maybe 10 minutes or less and it looked the exact same when he gave it back to us except this time they put extra Parmesan cheese. It lacked salt, barely had Rasta flavor in it which is crazy for a Rasta pasta. All for it to be $25 too. Wild. Needless to say I'm never coming back. It was the weirdest tasting sauce I've ever had. It went straight into the garbage. Don't waste your time or money.

It's a Jamaican restaurant run by actual Jamaicans so some things are gonna be off....but that's how you know the food is good. I called to place an order and the guy was a little snippy over the phone. That's when I knew the food was gonna be good. Then when I drove up there there was music playing from a large speaker in front of the store and some older men hanging out in lawn chairs by the parking lot. I thought "this food is about to hit!" And when I saw the cook wipe his hands with the gloves on instead of just putting new gloves on, I thought about cancelling my order but I also knew he's probably the best cook in his family. So, if you don't mind any of that, you get to have some amazing food! I got the curry shrimp, a veggie patty and a bottle of soursop juice. Everything hit! I give the food itself a 6/5 stars. Happy eating!

    Curry oxtail, and chicken

As we all know, Jamaican food can be pretty pricey, but I have to say, it was worth every penny! I ordered a oxtail and jerk, chicken platter, and it was a delightful surprise to find that it could easily be shared among three of us--all while everyone got plenty to eat! My whole family was over the moon with the delicious food we enjoyed. What a fantastic dining experience!

This was my first time visiting this place. Service was on point and the food was great! This location is carry out only, but it's a cute hidden spot. The only thing I can say is the Mac n cheese was only noodles with a bunch of cheese. I like cheese, but it was a lot for me. Now, the jerk salmon was Babe!!! The sauce was great and I loved the peas and rice! It reminded me of a place I visited in the Bahamas. I will definitely be back!!

Food 10/10 The chicken was delicious. The beef patty was flakey on the outside but savory with the perfect amount of heat! Service 10/10 there were 4 people with orders and one person behind the counter. There was no long wait after I made my order. Ambiance 10/10 there are several benches with tables outside. There are no tables inside. There are bars (against the wall) if you don't mind standing while you eat. The reggae music playing outside will definitely have the party lit. Everyone seemed happy to be there. I understood why after I finished my plate. I am so happy Da Jerk House is here! I plan eating my way through the menu! Won't you join me?

Period…read more I've been seeing this place all over social media, so when I found myself in the area, I had to see what the hype was about. First off, parking is easy. It's in a shopping center, so nothing stressful there, and the restaurant itself is easy to spot. Walking in, the first thing I noticed was how clean, polished, and classy everything looked. Even though it was busy, it didn't feel chaotic. The staff immediately greeted me and asked if it was my first time which I appreciated. They didn't just rush me through the line; they actually took time to explain the menu, how the bowls are built, and offered samples. That alone made the experience feel welcoming and intentional. Now let's get into the FOOD. Everything looked fresh. They have about four rice options (which is already a win), and I went with the pineapple coconut rice. For my protein, I chose grilled chicken, but they also offer shrimp, salmon, and even a mushroom option for vegetarians and honestly, the mushrooms looked so good I almost switched. For my added sides, I kept it simple because I really wanted to taste everything. Collard greens and sweet potatoes. But they also had plantains, and okra....real deal soul food options. Then you get into the fresh toppings. Slaws, carrots, pickled veggies. I kept it light. I finished my bowl with collard green pesto (which intrigued me, and I'm glad I tried it) and added an étouffée sauce over my rice... and listen!!!!! That combo? Chef's kiss. I grabbed a tropical punch juice, and just like everything else, it tasted fresh and well-made. Let me say this clearly: the food is a 10/10. If you're someone who will give Chipotle chance after chance, then you absolutely owe it to yourself to try Spice Black. 10/10. Worth your money. Worth the hype. Worth the experience.

The restaurant is nicely decorated with vibrant colors and very clean. The service is friendly and welcoming. The food was okay. Not bad and just good in my opinion. Its not rave worthy but its still good. I would come back and try other options. This is still a good healthier option oppose to the many of terrible choices we have to choose from, this beats most unhealthy fast foods restaurants. For that reason I would return to try other food options. If you like chickpeas then this is your meal, Im not so it threw off the salad to me. I would have preferred chicken. Honestly, everything came together nicely as one salad, nothing was over powering. I'm just not a fan of chickpeas. They do have an option for shrimp but dont eat bottom feeders so that wasn't an option for me. My tastebuds are much different from yours so I would still give it a try. You might like it a little more than me. Its still a fairly good meal.

I had a negative experience at their newly opened location and the owner never bothered to speak with me about it or make things right despite good faith efforts to reach him. My order was cancelled after already confirming with their staff that the order would be made. Then they cancelled it saying the items were out of stock after waiting an hour. How is that even possible? I guess you don't cook the food or check until the dasher arrives? I am appalled at the way the owner treated the situation by ultimately deciding not to make things right. I left messages and made good faith attempts to contact the owner to ask if I could discuss my experience. He decided to call me once during a time when I said I wasn't available (which I told their staff to inform the owner) and when I tried to contact him at the agreed upon time he didn't respond. The most shocking part is that the manager told me the owner is ultimately not going to address the experience due to a negative Google review I posted. Reviews are supposed to be honest experiences of customers and not be held or used against the customer in an effort to make a bad experience right. With Jamaican breeze, they do NOT care about the customer experience and take reviews too personally, which is alarming. This is unprofessional and disappointing and not at all how you attract or retain customers. For the prices they charge it's not worth your time, money, or the hassle to deal with poor service such as this. I would NOT recommend if you want reliable, cheaper, better value, and tastier Jamaican food go check out Jammin Island BBQ in Springfield they have never disappointed.

When I tell you that oxtail was falling off the bone? 10/10. The brown stew chicken was flavorful, tender, and cooked just right. The cabbage was seasoned perfectly, not soggy, not bland. Everything on that plate hit. No complaints about the food whatsoever. The space itself is small, clean, and minimally decorated. Nothing fancy, but very well-kept, and I appreciate that. Service was good. The owner personally took care of me and accommodated my request to swap out the rice for extra cabbage with no issue. I always appreciate when owners are hands-on and attentive. Now for the hiccup: the credit card machine wasn't working, so I had to pay via Cash App. Not ideal, but okay. What almost took me out was the attempt to add a service charge. I definitely spoke up because that extra $1? Yeah... it was about the principle. Sheesh. Overall, the positives outweighed the minor inconvenience. The food alone would have me coming back. At heart, I'm a man that truly enjoy most Caribbean dishes ( oxtails, goat, curry/jerk chicken,…read moreroti, etc ) So, I set out on a quest to give a new Caribbean cuisine restaurant a shot at winning me over. That's when I bumped into Caribbean Dish... The name got me, yes it's basic, but the title was exactly what I was looking for. The restaurant is in a small unassuming parking lot... if you don't know it's there, you probably will miss it ( so glad I didn't !! ) The minute I walked in, I felt authentic family vibes ( something I look for when choosing my Caribbean locations ) The service was very friendly, and they cleared everything up when I wasn't sure if my particular craving could be fulfilled ( the combo I desired wasn't on their daily menu ) My sights were set on the oxtail and curry goat combo ( of course with rice & peas and veggies ! ) And when I say the goat was tender, and seasoned to perfection... while the oxtails had that juicy meatiness that will for sure keep me coming back. The rice & peas were cooked just right ( texture was on point ) and the veggies still had that freshness that brought everything else together. I love my Caribbean dishes saucy and not dry ( they get two thumbs up in that department ! ) Family vibes, cheerful greeting, and amazing food....
