I came back here after several years and I enjoyed it so much. We sat in the patio area so we could do hookah. I chose the mint flavor and someone comes to replace the coals. For appetizer I had to get the pita and hummus (you would be wrong for not getting that). And for the main meal I got the shawarma plate !! We went here for a team outing to interview a candidate for a job as unfortunately the place we wanted to eat was closed that day so we were here. For some reason all you can eat Mediterranean places tend to be popular here as this is my 5th different one I have eat around the area. So they have a good selection of food. They do have an Indian section, but did not touch it as not so sure if my stomach can take it. They have a middle section for meat, chicken, gyro meat, ground beef meat. They do have a hummus section, garlic sauce and Taziki sauce which was pretty good. I still prefer alibaba. So why the 3 stars, well the bread was hard as a rock, the meat was dry especially the chicken. I thought the food was okay, I ate around 3 plates. 2 plates worth of gyro meat, chicken meat and 1 for dessert. I like the rice pudding, but the custard was pretty sour. We came in and were seated quickly. Waited around 25 minutes, we were completely forgotten in the covered outdoor area of the restaurant. Nobody ever came to ask for our orders. Waiters kept coming in and out and not once did they come near us, even when we lifted our hands or tried to call out. Finally we were able to get someone's attention, he indicated someone would come soon and never did. Other people came after us and they were being served drinks and meals. By far this is the best Mediterranean food in Dallas. After trying a bunch of Mediterranean restaurants, I was disappointed to try any other. But Afrah is spot on, made my tastebuds so so happy. The menu is super accommodative but limited gluten free options. Has good options for vegetarians. My all time favorite is the chicken kebab platter. Love every bit of this plate. The pita bread is so soft and delicious and not to forget the rice, this has so much flavors packed. Don't forget to try their popular mango dessert, this has a different taste altogether and looks fantastic. Don't forget to check in on Yelp to unlock a free scoop of gelato. Over 1000 reviews and they've managed to hold onto four stars so I doubt my review will have much impact, but... I was super unimpressed. This place looks amazing from the outside, big, nice looking building, full parking lot... clearly they are doing something right. However, the interior tells a different story. Bland furnishings, basic signage, and unbussed tables give off more of a diner vibe than anything else. Definitely not the special occasion spot we were hoping for. The food is okay, pretty standard really. Nothing to write home about or even post to Instagram. It was also way overpriced. The service was terrible, but I think that may have been a temporary thing the day we went. Either way, I'm not going back to find out. There are way too many places in this town to get good shawarma to give this place a second chance. read more

Deluxe!! Amazing place. This was a recommendation of my friend Peter Kim. Amazing really feels as close as my grandmother use to make here in this country. The grape leaves are the right flavor but no meat in the rice. Kibbeh to die for not quite like grandma made but close enough. Felafel are really good. Hummus and baba really good too. Great place for lunch! I stopped here around 1:45 pm! I ordered the chicken shawarma with fries and drink! A little over 10 bucks! Warm pita with chicken, onion, seasonings, peppers, and some French fries! I got the garlic sauce on the side. Yes, I said French fries in the pita ! It was really good! The chicken pieces were sometimes a little dry but all and all it was great! Huge pita! Enough really for lunch and dinner! A lot of people were getting the Buffet for 12.99! In fact, I saw an employee bringing out more items at around 1:45 pm! The Buffet goes from 11am to 2:30 pm. There newer location is huge! Plenty of parking in back. This is our third time here, we love this place especially for breakfast/lunch. Our favorite items are their pies (especially cheese pie), hummus and chicken shawarma. We got the falafel and kubbeh, they were good but lacked some salt; I'm not sure if that was on purpose or that's the way they are done. They offer a variety of desserts which is great. I wasn't too impressed with the beef shawarma, however, sometimes it tasted better than other times. So I would stick to the chicken shawarma to be on the safe side. This time we got to try the mint lemonade slushy and it was on point, it is definitely a MUST to try from here. It does get busy at night so plan accordingly. If you have the hankering for Mediterranean Lebanese food.... there is no other place to go than right here.. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. The menu covers basically everyone in our family's different tastes. I got the gyro, hubs got the lamb kabob, 11 yo got the aprah burger, and 8 yo pizza (expanding her palate!) We got the gelato afterwards as well which the kids said was 5 star. So many flavors it will make your head spin. Don't forget the cookies... we've had them before and came just for the cookies. Still following social distancing (and you prob should, too!) I found myself with an intense craving for Mediterranean food. While scrolling through ubereats, Afrah popped up and remembering it came highly recommended by numerous friends, started an order. Being Lebanese, I am ridiculously familiar and picky about my middle eastern food. The menu is pretty substantial-lots of options, some familiar, some not. I chose chicken shawarma with a side of tahini and garlic sauce, falafel basket, fresh pita, and red knafeh. I was so excited, and so hungry! First: everything was delivered packaged very carefully, and nothing was overcrowded. I appreciated this, even if I was left with a mountain of wrappings and plastic afterwards. Plenty of napkins and utensils were included. Excellent! Now, the food: the chicken shawarma was great. The chicken was cut in paper thin slices, nicely charred, and very flavorful. The pickled veggies were delicious, with a slight spicy bite to them. The wrap it was in was slightly chewy but this just gave me the time to chew thoroughly and not put it away in minutes! The garlic sauce was great-very thick, very garlicky. This was important, because the wrap on its own was kind of dry. It needed the extra sauce. It comes with fries as well, but I had them put on the side instead of in the wrap. They use steak cut fries, and mine arrived pretty limp, which I assume was from being slightly undercooked and sweating themselves out. Falafel basket was just ok-despite how green the inside was, they lacked flavor. Not sure about those. The tahini sauce included was thin and bland, but honestly this is how I prefer tahini anyway, because its just there for me to keep the falafel from being dry and hard to swallow. The pita that was included was hard and stale. This is likely from being baked early in the day and not being replaced often enough. I always have pita on hand though, so I was able to grab my own. Now the biggest disappointment: the red knafeh. I ordered it with pistachios, and received none. This is a big deal because its like ordering an ice cream sundae and having them forget the cherry on top. It just isn't complete. They packaged it nicely, and included the syrup to go on top separately, which is important because it would have been a soggy mess by the time it got to me. However, even leaving the syrup off wasn't enough to make this worth getting delivered. It was rubbery and tough, again I assume from being made earlier in the day and just sitting there. Knafeh is the best when it is hot and fresh. The cheese had congealed into a mass that was impossible to eat. And again, they left off my pistachios. This is a dessert I'll need to try in person, because I choose to believe it will be much better that way. All in all, I was satisfied with most of my meal. I will definitely check them out again once the covid 19 madness ends! read more

Wow, what happened? We were regulars at the old building, then went some to the new place(just not the same charm) then started going to other places when they stopped the buffet. Went back today and was so disappointed. First off, the cost for a LUNCH buffet was crazy expensive for what is out there. So many dishes were swimming in oily stuff and not a lot of vegetable options. Ali Baba, Andalous, and Dimassis have such a better and fresher selection. This is one of my go to Mediterranean restaurants in Richardson. I was on my way to my favorite cupcake place when I decided to drop in for the lunch buffet. They open at 10am during the week, but the buffet doesn't actually start until 11am. I decided to order the meat pizza and hot tea off the menu while I waited. This location is a lot larger than their other location which is still sitting vacant right next door. There is a lot of seating inside and outside there is a large heated, enclosed patio with a fireplace and beautiful decor. Last time I was here, there were quite a few people enjoying the hookahs which are available for use on the patio. Today it was too cold to sit on the patio even with the outdoor heaters, so I opted for indoor seating! The food was good today, not as good as it was last time I visited, but it was good. The meat pizza had a unique flavor, I enjoyed it with the garlic paste and hot pepper sauce. The tea was simply delicious without sugar, it was mild and not too bitter. The buffet had lots of salads, meats, and stewed dishes. There was a choice of three differences soups, a chicken noodle soup, and two different types of lentil soups one with spinach and one without. Some of the highlights of the buffet were the typical Mediterranean buffet items like kabobs, falafel, pita bread, hummus, okra, and baba ghanoush. The pita bread is made in house and was soft and fresh. The dessert section was limited to a cake and fresh fruit. The drinks were included with the buffet. I usually check in on Yelp to get the free scoop of gelato for dessert, while good, I like Paciugo's pistachio flavor better. The waiter was friendly and attentive. He kept my drink full and brought out the food in a timely manner. The dining area and restroom could have been a little cleaner as my menu was a little sticky and when I went to the restroom to wash my hands it was a bit dirty, my hubby said the men's restroom was downright nasty. I also noticed some of the tables weren't too clean as well. Other than that, we had a great lunch. 3 stars for the food, 1 star for the staff, 0 stars for the facility due to cleanliness. The restaurant is big and spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant was very clean and all the staff had face masks on. Management staff specifically Joseph was very nice and friendly, he answered all our questions about the food. The waiting staff were not very welcoming and could have been friendlier. We were able to try a wide variety of dishes, our personally favorites were the Greek salad and the Kaba combo. Overall the food was great and would recommend this place! read more

Seriously some of the best Mediterranean food I have had since moving from the northeast. We ordered several appetizers in order to try a variety of the items, which I recommend doing. We also ordered shawarma, which had good flavor. Service was very attentive and helpful. We spent quite awhile here on a Sunday drinking a couple of cups of coffee and tea, but we weren't the only ones. We didn't feel rushed and the ambiance was casual.
