After checking in downstairs, I was given a ticket and directed upstairs for seating. I took the elevator, which offered a clear view of the kitchen below as it ascended... definitely a unique touch. Upstairs, another host staff guided us to our table. The space had a lively feel, roaring with chatter from customers, and I could see parts of the kitchen where food was being prepared over an open flame, which added to the overall atmosphere. For the food, we started with the calamari. It was cooked well and had a nice texture, especially paired with the crispy onion shoestrings, which added a good crunch and flavor. It was served over a lobster sauce, although the lobster flavor wasn't very noticeable. The main issue was the salt level... it was quite heavy! I did enjoy it overall, but I would only recommend it to someone who doesn't have to watch their sodium intake. For entrées, I ordered the steak cooked medium with broccolini. The dish automatically comes with mashed potatoes, and while I was able to substitute the salad for broccolini, there didn't seem to be flexibility with the potatoes. After tasting the mashed potatoes, I wish I was offered to substitute it as it tasted like the brown box we grew up on where you just added water. When the food came out, the steak was closer to medium-well or well done rather than medium, and both the mashed potatoes and broccolini were a bit cold. I chose not to send it back since we waited but it did affect the overall experience. My guest ordered the ribs with fries and coleslaw. The ribs were well-prepared--tender with a clean pull off the bone--and were probably the highlight of the meal. The fries were also very good and came out hot. The coleslaw wasn't as well received, described as having too many of the tougher parts of the cabbage. Overall, the experience had some positives, especially in terms of atmosphere and certain menu items like the ribs and fries. While I did enjoy parts of the meal, it's not somewhere I would personally return to, but it may be worth trying once to form your own opinion.

I decided what I wanted to order, but there was a problem. There was nobody at the counter. I waited maybe four minutes to see if anybody from the back would come out to take my order. But nobody came out. I was hungry and didn't want to wait any longer, so I just left. Club Sandwich could at least have a bell on their counter to get somebody's attention if they aren't going to man the counter.

Looking at the screen as initial point of contact, you feel like you opened a box of jigsaw puzzle. The Club needs to organize and simplify their menu and classify according to wings, burgers, bowls and sides. That would solve the problem. Change the shocking blue background color and take out the pictures of the burgers which look very similar with one another to free up more space. Additionally, you feel like you're in a mini Cheesecake Factory with so many choices available. Simplify the menu! Also, let go of your separation anxiety with all this huge printed merchandising materials, some of which have been there from the start! Then there are standee signs that list other order options. They make the place look cheap and dated. Worse, they're confusing and an eyeful. One sign featured all the Korean chicken variants while another tucked away somewhere reveals you can get the lemon pepper and other interesting sauces and toppings. Put it this way, if the Restaurant Makeover show and Chef Gordon Ramsay came over, they would change 2 things: simplify the menu and add some pop to the interior. Get professional help on these please. Don't "wing" it and hoard on the huge menu boards like you were archiving old photographs. Have the owners noticed that more people are doing take-outs rather than dining in? A one day make over of fresh paint with vibrant new furniture (they have the same ones 7 years back) and simple menus with one or two picture boards would make this place rock and do justice to their awesome chicken wings (if only you knew that you can get more that 10 flavors to choose from)! Hopefully, The Club will merit my Yelp record of 4 reviews for a single restaurant culminating in one that showcases the true potential of this place.

My experience with the bartender (name he provided: DC) was disappointing. After he finished serving another group, I got his attention, but he looked at me, then turned away and walked off to talk to a colleague. I waited, and he didn't come back, so I had to go out of my way to get his attention again. When I finally got his attention again, I asked about the chocolate cupcakes options and which one he recommended, his response was dismissive. He replied "neither," mentioned he preferred vanilla and walked away without helping further. The interaction felt unwelcoming and lacked basic customer service. It had a hint of prejudice. I spoke with the manager because the experience was uncomfortable and not what I expected. If you're in a customer-facing role, professionalism and respectful interaction should be consistent. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
