This hands down has the best steak. I love how juicy and tasty thier steals are. I like my steaks medium well and some places just either make it raw or overcooked and cant have a medium. This spot does it perfect. Its a a medium sized place and great for families. The only downside for this spot is the wait times which can exceed over 40+mins on there busy days. We ordered: top sirloin medium in peppercorn sauce and a half rack of BBQ ribs for our entrees; French fries, sautéed veggies, and mashed potatoes as sides, and pina colada and a hot chocolate for drinks. The good: top sirloin - was decent and they did cook it medium as requested. Not the best steak ever but compared to other halal spots, decent. French fries and mashed potatoes with gravy were really good too. Pina colada was one of the better ones I've had. The bad: the half rack ribs. So many people told us to get this and I just was not impressed. It wasn't fall off the bone good and the meat got hard. I didn't like the bbq sauce on it either. The sautéed veggies also tasted weird to us, like they had just been steamed not sautéed. The ugly: hot chocolate tasted kinda weird. Like expired whipped cream maybe? My husband had a few sips and it wasn't sitting well with him. Our stomachs both hurt that night so the food didn't sit quite well with us. Honestly, we probably won't be back. I love french fries and I am always in the search for a great fry. The fries here are made just the way I like. They are nice and meaty while still fried very well. I wish all places made fries like this. If you are looking for a great fried chicken sandwich with fries or salad, definitely give this place a shot. Make sure you order in advance since there's a wait. This is a great spot for the neighborhood. I see a lot of locals going in and out for food. One side note, the service here is great. I ordered more than one sandwich and one of my sandwiches was missing the whole piece of chicken. I called back and explained what happened. We ordered food Saturday evening which took over an hour to get to us. Once we got the food, it wasn't even warm anymore. Many of our family members got abdominal pain, with vomiting and diarrhea. Because it's easily contagious, my 11 month old baby also started vomiting. It's her birthday tomorrow and now we won't be able to celebrate. How happy am I to have a halal steak house 15 minutes away from me? Utterly delighted. The restaurant opened about a month back, and is already buzzing with large groups of people. The interior: welcoming vibe - clean, spacious, and steak house-y. The food: pretty good, 4/5 We had fried calamari to start. Well done, but a lighter sauce, something sour/spicy and sweet wouldve been really good. The ribs could improve. I wish the meat on ribs were actually seasoned prior to stacking them up on the heat. Seems like they just slathered some bbq sauce on top. Other than that, the meat was cooked really well - tender and juicy. The jalapeno steak pasta was on point. The steak was also tender enough and seasoned well contrary to the ribs. Great taste overall. The mashed potatoes and fries were also pretty good. The service: not sure if the server was new, but she was trying to do everything too fast and it resulted in clumsiness. Other than that, she was sweet and friendly. Just relax and steady your pace, hun! I think being a new restaurant, there's definitely room for improvement but I will be going back to see their progress. My husband and I came to this place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Atmosphere: clean & quiet we went on Saturday at about 5:30-6pm and it was just us and two other patrons there. There's no music or TV. I think it's nice there's no tv so people can actually converse. The steak was well done and juicy I didn't care for the steamed veggies on the side they were bland mash potato was average. My Top sirloin was supposed to come with shrimp and there was no shrimp when my dish was served. For 5 adults and two kids pricing came to about $180. I would certainly come here again. My only request is to open one somewhere closer to the city. We started off by ordering drinks around 7:20. 7:49 the first drink comes out, 20 minutes later another two and then about half an hour later another two. The last drink did not come. Priced $6 8:00 our food orders were finally taken. We were asked if we wanted our chips and salsa(complimentary) replenished which we did. Around 8:45 or a a little after, our food arrives. The Food: I understand they are a steakhouse and that is their specialty but there is no reason why 6 people order 6 different orders and not a single dish was good. I ordered the mango jalapeño chicken and shrimp-I forget the full name, with a side of sautéed veggies and ceasar salad. The chicken and shrimp looked well seasoned, however there was no hint of salt or flavor to be found. The chicken was thin and dry and the shrimp had no scent or flavor, if you blindfolded an individual and had them taste it, 100% they will not know what it is. The veggies were nothing but frozen vegetables from your local supermarket that looked par-boiled. The string beans weren't even green they were a sick yellow color. The mango habenero sauce was disgustingly sweet and did not compliment the dish. The salad was a few wilted iceberg lettuce with store bought ceasar dressing and supermarket pre-shaved,flavorless Parmesan cheese. This is all priced at $18 This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant, if the service was better perhaps I'd say it was a bad day and try their steaks next time. Overall start to finish nothing got better. Waste of money, waste of time, chain restaurants like Applebee's and red lobsters are preferable to this. The service and food quality has seriously declined the past year. Being that it is the only Halal steak house in NYC, there's not much incentive for management to provide top notch service anymore. Sad, but true. The tables are pretty filthy and the chairs are all broken. The bathroom was disgusting and the faucet was completely broken. The waitresses seem miserable and when I asked for a chicken and cheese quesadilla our waitress said "it can't be both, either chicken or cheese" ‍ (she didn't know what she was talking about since the chef sent a standard chicken and cheese quesadilla). Went here for a dinner last night, great ambience. Dinner for four, got NY strip steaks and cheeseburgers. For appetizers we had nachos with chilli and stuffed jalapeños poppers. Nachos were spot on! While the poppers were filling but could be a lil spicier. Steak was great but the burgers were an epic fail. Wasn't cooked to perfection. Beef smell is a no-no in a cheeseburger. I will start with the BAD: Made reservations for 5 after being suggested to eat here. From the exterior you couldn't tell it was a restaurant. I thought it was part of the hookah spot next door. There are alot of things this restaurant has to work on. The main thing is a big issue and that's cooking their steaks. If you want your steak to be medium well, you better ask them to cook it medium rare. This doesn't apply to me as i don'd mind a well done steak, but my preference n Medium well. Their quesadillas eneded up being very good and their cajun stuffed chicken is probably their best item. The steaks are pretty good aside from the cooking of it. Their juicy and well seasoned. Service is sometime an issue, but that's because it gets really busy as this is one of the only halal steak joints in Brooklyn. read more
