I usually don't write reviews for anything but this is the worst company that I've encountered. As…read moresome other reviews has stated, I'm also very confused as to how this business even has high ratings. I'm starting to think it is either fake or paid for. BEWARE I was tricked, i won't trust reviews anymore. I should have done more research and also looked at the hidden bad reviews. Please also look at all the bad reviews from different years on Google. There are also many reviewers that state that the owner writes some of the great reviews, themselves. I am so disappointed in myself, for not checking and reading all the previous reviews thoroghly. I am a property manager, I hired this company for an owner, after reading all the great reviews. I hired them after finding out the owner's tenants hired a handyman from a different company, who failed to snake the drain since it was not his expertise, but he was great, he refunded the money to us, since he didn't fix it. So, I told the owner, I will hire the original 718 sewer and drain Inc., they came by and only spent about 10 min snaking the drain and then left. When the Tenants went to take a shower, the sewer started flooding, this company not only didn't fix it, but made the clog even worse and they also refused to come back to fix it, when I called them. They charged us $305, which were more expensive then other companies that I used to hire, it would have been way more, if I didn't pay in cash. The other reviews said it was $100 or $200, so it seems like he increases the prices to whatever he wants, it is not affordable like they said on website. The owner Anthony also agreed on refunding $150, but then he stopped replying. He thinks we will forget, he just lies and tells you he will, so you will stop asking. Also, BEWARE. Don't pay in cash, I trusted them so I paid in cash. I should've paid with credit card, so we can do a chargeback. If he knows you paid in cash, they will do a shitty job because they know you can't do a chargeback. Just because there are high reviews, it doesn't mean, they are actually great. Like other reviewers said, they are more like handyman, not really highly experienced like they state. When I complained, his excuse was he has so many great reviews, meaning that he doesn't care about our complaints. He abuses the fact that he has good reviews. So he thinks he can treat customers badly behind the scenes. He also probably deletes the bad reviews. He thinks that since there are already great reviews, doing a few bad jobs wouldn't matter. He guarantees to fix the issue on the website, but he lied. He also lied about refunding the money. This is a deceptive business practice. what kind of legit business is this? He deceives people. If he wasn't going to refund us, he should've told us instead of wasting our time. He just didn't want is to write a bad review or report him. Anyways, the owner of the property will be reporting him to the NYC DCWP and also with the state attorney General. You can't just damage someone's property and then not fix it and then also deny a refund that you promised. The owner of the property has cameras all over his house, inside and outside, so it will show when they showed up and what they did and when ghey left. We also have proof of Anthony promising to pay us back, this is fraud. We will attach all the proof with the complaints. We kept being generous and giving him time and asking if he will refund, but he ignored us. He was also supposed to refund the full amount, but the prpperty owner was being nice. Thank goodness we found another company who was actually truly highly experienced and highly rated, they came by and fixed the problem and only charged us $170. They also gave us a 7 month warranty warranty and a guarantee that if it clogs, they will come back free of charge. If we didn't find them, we don't know what we would gave done. I am sorry to the property owner that I hired the original 718 sewer and drain and that he lost his money and made the clog even worse.

We used Yelp's Projects feature to look for contractors to help us resolve this situation. I added a picture of the part making unusual noises to my Yelp project request to provide some detail about the situation. Tom's Plumbing & Heating Services responded first. From my photo, Justin identified my malfunctioning part as the circulator pump, and after a few questions confirming that nothing else was wrong, Justin recommended that the circulator pump be replaced. He provided two options for circulator pumps, along with web links and total costs for each option, and a web link to my existing circulator pump for reference. I selected a pump with horsepower equivalent to my existing pump. The cost of all parts that Justin referenced were roughly equivalent on Amazon.com. Other vendors requested a complete picture of the boiler system, or had initial consultation fees. The service visit totaled roughly 90 minutes. In that time, Justin: - Replaced the boiler drain valve because it hasn't been used in many years and no longer worked - Drained my boiler - Installed the new circulator pump - Bled (i.e., removed air from) most of my radiators. Justin emphasized the importance of bleeding the radiators, as air in the system reduces the boiler's efficiency. - Demonstrated how to override the water pressure regulator in case of insufficient system pressure. - Pointed out other potential points of failure to monitor in the boiler system -- the water pressure regulator and expansion tank. Overall, we were very happy with the service provided. Thanks to Mike S. for his review, which helped in our selection!
