Called Friday morning to get my electric tankless water fixed and scheduled a 2 to 4pm appt with the plumber. He came around 3pm and I received a call 20mn early to let me know he was coming soon. Current tankless water heater malfunctioned. Called and got a friendly voice (Jennifer) who said she'd get back to me immediately after checking status of her technicians. She called back immediately and said he could be at my home within the hour. I certainly didn't expect that. Technician (Gio) arrived at stated time and checked unit. Discovered it needed a new electronic board. Unit is was 17 years old so I inquired about possibly installing a new unit instead of repairing an older one that had an unknown limited life. He gave me a fair quote so I decided to just replace the unit. Jennifer called from the office immediately after the technician left. She advised me that Gio could install the new unit the following morning. Again, the technician showed up on time and efficiently completed the installation. This would have been the third time I would have done business with Affinity. I called Tuesday and scheduled them to come out Wednesday between 4 and 6. When 6 came, I called and left a message. David called back at 6:23 to say he got busy and forgot to call. What was worse was that he said he could not get to me for the rest of the week! Wait, what?! I spoke to David a few weeks ago and he was very helpful with answering my questions. A couple of weeks later, I call him to schedule service. He said he'd be out the next day, unless I got a call from him because of a job somewhere in Downtown Houston that would cause him to have to reschedule. I didn't get a call, so I expected him the next morning around 9AM. I waited; no show. No call either. I tried calling him the next day (maybe I got my days mixed up). No answer. Left voicemail. Wow! So in this day and age this is very rare! I called the Water Pros because our hot water tank was making a popping noise periodically after running the hot water. I had called around about getting it flushed out and was quoted 180 - 250.00 for a flush out. I spoke to David at Water Pros and he told me as long as the tank is not old that I really don't need to spend the money. My only option if I wanted to was to install a water Softener. So instead of coming out and charging me money he gave me a free consultation over the phone. I will be using this company in the future because they were honest with me and candid about my issue. I replaced my water heater but I was not getting hot water from it. I called 3 plumbers after hours that night and they said someone would call back the next morning. Not one of them called me! I looked on Yelp for a plumber the next evening and found The Water Pros. I did not get an answering service! David answered and gave me tips on the phone on what it could be, but I decided to have him come out and fix the problem because of the great ratings I saw on Yelp. I called at 6:30PM the night before and he said he would be here at 8AM the next morning. He was here at 8AM... and what he recommended on the phone was the first step to fixing my problem. He quoted a low and high end price on the phone the night before, and it ended up being right at the low end. Awesome! These folks are the best. We were replacing our roof from Harvey and Affinity coordinated their install with the roofer! They really cared about us and our home. David is extremely knowledgeable, and Jennifer the person who schedules makes every effort to pinpoint a time when David will show up. We had a tankless water heater installed. We had one before, but our builder refused to put one in when we build our home. It was time to change out the tank so we went tankless again. It is lower on gas bills, and the water does not have the dirty sediment that the tank one has. We went with a Rennai. The install in the attic was clean and neat. It does not make noise. David did an excellent job--and more...he rescued an injured Hawk from our front porch, and Jennifer took it to a Raptor center to save it's life--this was above and beyond plumbing. They're a pain to get ahold of sometimes, and bent up the water pan when they installed the new water heater so a year later when I got my home inspected it was written up as needing changed. So they had to come back out. After a couple no shows and reschedules and having to keep calling them to follow up to find out when they were ever going to come out, they finally came and charged $75, when water pans are only $20-$25 everywhere and then said it didn't really need replaced, it was just bent (after they finished changing it out!!!) I needed a plumber at 4:30 pm on a Wednesday night; I had a pipe that had broken, was spewing water and thus had resulted in our water being shut off until I could get a plumber out. I found the Water Pros through yelp.com. I called and Dave answered right away. Although he was clear on the other side of town, he said he would come over as soon as his current job was done and did in fact show up about an hour later despite the rush hour traffic. He charged $105 for the "emergency" trip charge; I thought this was high but knew that a service man for a washer during the day charged $65 so figured it was a fair after hours charge. He also said that if we used him for the service the $105 would be credited against that fee, and I thought that was reasonable and standard. When he arrived, Dave was friendly, inspired confidence and had a nice way about him. He immediately explained what had happened - that someone had stood on the pipe (which immediately inside our fence), breaking the pipe at the joint. This made sense because of circumstances that I need not go into here. Dave told me that he could cap off the broken pipe that night and turn the water back on to the house and then come back the next day to fix the pipe. He quoted $315, which I thought was extremely high but had no way of knowing whether it was a fair, great, or terrible quote. Dave did not come back the next day or the next but called to say that he could come the following Monday. Since the water to the house was back on, I did not mind the delay. He came as promised the following Monday, charged what he quoted and replaced mud and gravel so as to leave the worked upon area nice. read more

David definitely provided 5 star service! A few weeks ago on a Friday afternoon we noticed signs that our water heater was on its last legs. We called the water pros. David answered the phone himself when we called and managed to squeeze in an assessment at the end of that day. He was then able to schedule our repairs and make special arrangements to obtain an extra part we needed by Saturday morning. Everything was back in working order by noon on Saturday. I would definitely recommend them for prompt, courteous, and professional work at a very fair price. David actually came in under his estimate and threw in a new drainage pan for free because he didn't notice a small hole in the old one when he provided the estimate. I recently needed a hot water tank repair and I knew what repair was necessary based on a home inspection report. This is not a review of the work- I wouldn't know because they haven't been able to get that far. I called for a quote, and we set up a time for them to come take a look. No show- I had to call them to see where they were, and they ended up sending someone else at the last minute. One week later- no quote, so I called back and left a few messages. I finally got a return call (apparently the guy was out of town and didn't bother changing his voicemail), and he said that he just got the info and would look it over. Then he said he needed to come out himself and take a look. (Hm, didn't we already try that?) So apparently he came out last week to look, but I still haven't heard anything back. I don't expect that I will, and I wouldn't give them the job based on how unorganized things have been just trying to get a quote. read more

David was very helpful and came out the same day that we called. He gave us a very reasonable estimate for replacing our water heaters (much lower than the other company that we looked at). We also had a shower/tub faucet that was broken. Another company that we had contacted told us that they would have to shut down the water to the entire house in order to just look at it and that we might need additional parts. David offered to look it over while he was at the house and fixed it in 5 minutes. He also didn't charge for this since we decided to get our water heater install with him. Let me start off by saying NEVER insert a plastic bag at the end of a pipe to stop dripping when you unhook a water softener. It can cause big problems! After three different plumbers were sent by our home warranty company to try to fix the low water pressure issue we had throughout our home and none were able to figure it out or help, we called on David. I wish he was the first call we made. David came out the next morning (even though it was a Saturday) and went right to work to find out what the issue was. He tried everything he could (even blowing nitrous through the pipes) before making the determination that holes would have to be cut in the celing to find the blockage. Even that was done with precision as he was very conscientious and methodical with where he cut. Eventually the cause was found, an HEB bag that had been sucked through the pipes when the water was turned back on and made it all the way to our kitchen before getting stuck! Who would have thought that the painter trying to stop a drip while epoxying our garage floors could have wreaked such havoc on our plumbing. Lesson learned, next time just leave systems in place and paint around! David was working at our home until at least 9pm getting everything squared away. He knows what he is doing and will be who we call for any future plumbing needs. I have already referred him and will be recommending him to anyone in need of a good plumber! read more
