We used this company on the recommendation of a neighbor when we had the extreme freeze in February. We had a broken pipe like all our other neighbors. Our neighbor arranged to have them come out and address broken pipes for herself, us and 2 other neighbors on the same day. Right off the bat we are charged a $150 emergency fee, plus of course the service fee. So, before doing anything the bill is already $350. Since there were so many people in the same boat as us, broken pipes, they would not have time to fix our pipes, but would cap them off so we could turn on the water to the house and they would come back at another time to fix the pipes. $475 to cap off the pipe and inspect the rest of the house for any other broken pipes. Our other neighbor was charged $875 to cap off 2 pipes. After hearing how much everyone was being charged just to cap off pipes, my next door neighbor said forget it to Lifeline and did the work himself. We are girls who know nothing about plumbing, so that was not an option for us. At the time we really didn't think about the cost. We were just glad to have water! 4 months later, we had a couple of minor issues that we wanted addressed by a plumber. We had a bathroom sink that was draining very slow, a faucet where the hot water was trickling out of, and we had an outside facet that leaked really bad. So stupid us, we thought we would use Lifeline again. Big mistake! These people over charge and recommend more work than required to fix the problem. They figured out the slow drain was because the pea trap was clogged bad and they had to snake the pipe under bathroom sink. After disconnecting hot water line under bathroom sink and running water, they determined the cartridge on the hot water facet valve was the reason the for the hot water trickle and it needed to be replaced. They recommended we change out the whole faucet instead of just replacing the cartridge. His reasoning was that it would cost the same to change out the cartridge as it would to replace the faucet. They also said they could not replace the outside faucet without cutting into the hardy plank because they were afraid they might break the pipe, which we said no to. So, for $350 we got our pea trap unclogged and the pipe in bathroom snaked. After they left we googled how to replace a cartridge in a facet and decided to do it ourselves. Took about 30 min. and the cartridge was $15. I am not sure how buying a new facet ($200-300) and paying them to come back out to replace faucet ($200) could cost the same as replacing cartridge ($15). Next, we are going to tackle the outside faucet! No more Lifeline Plumbing!! read more

I was excited at first because Anthony, the owner, seemed like a really good guy, and he seemed like he would fix the issues I was having with my toilets. When he came, based on the description, without examining anything, he said I need all new toilets. After replacing ALL 4 of my toilets, for the tune of $1950... not cheap... they still were behaving like they had before. AND THEY STOPPED WORKING THREE DAYS AFTER HE INSTALLED THEM!!! He argued with me that it was because my children must have done something to damage the plumbing. Then tried to blame it on the fact I had gone with two slightly less expensive model for my children's bathrooms upstairs... the ONES HE INSTALLED THREE DAYS EARLIER. In this argument, he also accused me of having a "spirit of mistrust."... apparently because he is a Christian and I am a Christian that must mean I should totally trust him with the contents of my home and all of my plumbing. What's up with that?!!! He apologized later for the heated argument, and snaked the toilets on two different occasions. He came a third time when the downstairs toilet (one of the expensive ones) backed up and said he need to go in with a camera and left. When I called him back up, he said it would be $10,000 to fix the pipes under my house! His quote was based all without ever looking at my pipes. And then when I protested the price, he said that he would look with a camera at $350/hour. That's when I told him I would use someone else. I was done with him. Abacus plumbers came and for $300 fixed the problem... Lifeline had used too much seal wax around the base of the toilet when he installed them. Grrrrr.... live and learn. He may be a nice guy... except when you disagree with him... but the best plumber in town... he is not... go with someone you know has been recommended. read more

I live in an older home that needed some new toilets. I saw one of Lifeline's trucks on the road. The truck looked nice and new, so I decided to call the number off the truck. I talked with Anthony about needing to replace 3 toilets and described what I wanted. He gave me a few options and I appreciate that he wasn't trying to force the most expensive models. I let him know my approximate budget and he recommended a Western Pottery brand that had an elongated model that I was looking for. He gave me what I believe to be an excellent price. I don't like drawing things out, so I scheduled the installation ASAP. The day of the install I received a phone call to let me know the truck was in route to my house. I was told that they would be there between 8 and 10 and they arrived at a little after 9. So far so good! I met Robert and Johnny at my door. Both men offered smiles and handshakes as they introduced themselves. They had a very clean and professional appearance. They also put on some coverings over their shoes (nice touch) before entering the house. They confirmed my order and asked to see the toilets they were replacing. They took it from there. All the old toilets were seamlessly removed and they handled the disposing of them. As they began installing the new toilets there was an unexpected delay. One of the toilets had small fracture the plumber had detected. Luckily there was an extra toilet that they brought with them. The toilets work very well, and I really like them! Robert asked if I had any other plumbing concerns to ask him about while he was there. I did have him look at an area in the bath that I thought may be leaking water on to the floor. He gladly looked at and quickly caulked the problem area and said that it should fix the problem. It certainly has fixed the issue and at no extra cost to me. Lifeline Plumbing was a very professional, courteous, and enjoyable experience. They listened to my needs and budget and provided me with excellent service and toilets at an excellent value. I requested a free quote to get my garbage disposal replaced. After coming to my house and gave my mom a ridiculous quote (over $500), my mom thank them for the quote and told them she would continue to price the job else were. Then the workers had to notify their supervisor who then asked to talk t, my mom. "Antonio" was very unprofessional and completely rude on the phone because we would not agree on the quoted price. Do not waste your time with people who only want to make money and not care about their customers. My husband found out that The Home Depot sells you the garbage disposal ($100) and can install it for $100. I thought they were a good company , then the shady business practices started: my experience started with them during the Imelda storm for an emergency: the young man Steven came by in a timely manner. He evaluated and pinpointed the issue and got to work. While chatting, he up sold me on some additional work he would do for me that same day. I was delighted. I am a disabled veteran that served 20 years in the military that still works in order to support my family. Money can be tight , but so is my time. I agreed to pay him 1000 dollars on top of the work completed for a new toilet and install. He tried to fix the one I had to no avail. I only agreed to do the work when Steven promised to return and install a sink a P trap in the same bathroom for no additional charge. He wrote the note on his tablet on my invoice and I paid him. Toilet works great. I call to set up the appointment for the sink : and get , oh , I'm sorry Steven is no longer with the company. The young lady I spoke with ( Rose) talks to an owner/manager and then tells me . We will get it done. As promised, no additional fee! I said thank you and set the appointment. The day comes . Another so called owner calls and says , we don't free work! I explained to him that I paid for it before. He says there is nothing on my notes; but I can offer you a half off deal. What a joke, then his appointment setter back tracks and says I never told him this was free. I did go on a tirade and at this point, didn't want these shady people in my house. My suggestion is to please record any promises these guys make and take pictures of invoices or get copies right away. The so called owner basically told me , I don't do sh#@ for free . I called Lifeline Plumbing to look at a water leak in my house. They informed me that it should have been a free estimate. When the gentleman came to my house he said that in order to look at the issue and give it a "diagnostic" it would cost us $125. This to me was a very bait and switch situation. The guy said we could pay him $176 instead and he could also fix a toilet we had been having issues with. We were faced with a situation that if we were going to have to pay him something we might as well get some work out of it and had him fix the toilet. The original issue we called them to look at turned out to be a A/C issue all along, so we basically paid him $176 to fix a toilet. The Lifeline worker also was rude to my wife, left his blue shoe covers on the ground at my house, and forgot to close the attic latter and door after finishing. The company did do a follow up call the next day asking our thoughts on their services and we expressed our issues and disappointment.. They said they would "talk" to the employee and that was it. I am not saying that I should have gotten a full refund, but something should have happened in order to keep me as a customer. I will never use this company again. read more

We were very disappointed in the quality of customer service provided by the OWNER of this company. The owner came to our home on a Wednesday to address a leaking bath faucet. He quoted one price and then IMMEDIATELY offered a $100 discount when we questioned the amount. (IMMEDIATELY....did he over charge us from the beginning?) He took the faucet apart and stopped the leak. However, he did not have the replacement piece on hand and said he would return on Friday to finish the job. After several phone calls on Friday and Saturday he finally sent another plumber out on SUNDAY to finish the job. The new plumber said there would be an additional charge for the replacement part. We questioned this charge as we made payment on Wednesday and assumed it was in full. The plumber then phoned the owner who told him to leave our house and fire us as customers! How unprofessional is that! He was three days late in completing the work, charged us more than he originally quoted and then threatened to FIRE us as customers. Questionable pricing practices, poor customer service and unprofessional leadership. PS. We used Lifeline about a year ago and were very pleased with the service and had referred others to them. We'll be looking for another plumber moving forward. read more

Turned on our sprinkler system the afternoon before our house inspection only to find out the valves had cracked (our fault) and water was spraying everywhere. He bad mouthed John Moore and other reputable companies... he insisted time was of the essence and the repair needed to be made by the next day or the issue would become worse and more costly. We were under a time crunch and trusted what he said... BIG MISTAKE. Unfortunately, we succumbed to his tactics, $7200 later paid for a service we could have paid a couple of thousand less for... Later when we were no longer under a time crunch we called out two other providers to check the work done and were told what their companies charge... needless to say we were DISGUSTED WITH LIFELINE PLUMBING. read more

Very dishonest people. They checked the place and told the leak is pretty massive and they have to replace the shut off valve and have to solder and replace the weights for the faucets. They went to get the supplies and came back and fixed the leak in less than 15 minutes and did not do anything as diagnosed. They charged me way too much for 15 minutes of work and they just replaced a valve and nothing else.I would not recommend these folks at all and they should not be in the business to dupe people. I called them to remove a instant hot water unit that was not working. Free estimate. I asked Mike how much to remove the unit. He said the standard trip charge which is $189.( Very high) Look for someone who charges less. Also ask a lot of questions. Like what is involved, how long will it take. I agreed to the job without asking these questions. It took him 3 min. to remove the unit. Turned the valve off, pulled 3 plugs and took it off using only his fingers and a flashlight. For that he charged the full charge. He could have said you don't need a plumber and told me what to do. But instead he took advantage knowing that was all that was necessary. So just BEWARE. He had no problem doing this and his co-worker was smiling the whole time. The owner did offer to reduce the price by $64. I declined because I still thought that was wrong. So instead of goodwill for their business they got this review AND I learned an expensive lesson. read more
