Now I recently put new tires on since receiving the X5 via transport from Colorado and had Scotts German Auto Repair in Peoria do the alignment and overall inspection of the vehicle to start my new life as a proud owner of the BMW X5. None of this couldnt be possible without the confidence driven by the Scott's Automotive staff in both Colorado and here in Peoria that they instilled. Adrian who navigates the service portion provided me with a full understanding of what they do and who they went about taking my X5 in and what to expect. The front suspension of my old Sonata had been making a variety of noises for a while; I took it to this Brakes Plus (Indian School and Jackrabbit) to have it checked out. They determined the problems were control arms and ball joints. They expeditiously repaired these, and so now -- no more squeaky front end noises! Yes! Silence is golden, right? I've been patronizing Brakes Plus and this particular location for a number of years because (1) the parts and labor charges are always reasonable (2) they apprise me of other issues I need to be aware of without any pushy up-sale techniques, and (3) everyone I've encountered at this business falls in the category of "good people". Specific kudos going from me to Rose and David, who always take good care of me in ways like offering coupon discounts without my even asking and ensuring warranties on parts are honored -- again without my asking. Always pleasant and considerate, these two. So, bottom line don't hesitate to take your vehicle to these folks to have issues diagnosed and repaired. They work on a lot more stuff than just brakes, so give them a call to see if they handle whatever repair you're looking for. My last review I remarked I'd give them a 5 star review if the rate on oil changes were more competitive, and I found that their rates are actually quite competitive, especially when you use the coupon discount you can find by going to their website. The service technician rotated the larger tires to the front and smaller tires to the rear incorrectly. This mistake caused the shocks and struts to blow out costing me $1300 in repairs and irreversible damage to the tires that need to be replaced. I spoke with the region manager John Louis and he said it would take about 2 weeks to retrieve and review the video and get back to me. That took a month. After continued follow up, we finally talked and they admitted the tech made a mistake. He said he would get back to me in a few days to discuss a resolution... That was 3 weeks ago. I've called and texted John multiple times but no response. He's ghosted me!!! Bottom line, if you can't do a tire rotation correctly, something tech's learn on day 1 of mechanic school, I wonder what can you actually do that I could trust would be done correctly. If ghosting a customer is there way of doing business, it clearly shows how they feel about you as a customer. Completely unprofessional on both fronts. I won't be going back and I suggest you go somewhere else too... I'll be taking them to small claims court and I'll be asking for more than the $1300 now.

I called Pegasus towing and they were quick and priced very reasonable for me. A-1 auto told me a quote if I had bought the pieces for the repair myself that was very reasonable priced again. Another shop had quote me a price $400 more for the repair without me buying the parts. I will now be using A-1 auto for my go to service shop. He had it done quickly and priced good for the work. I recommend them to have your auto worked on.
