I've been looking at Zero's since they first came out and have debated back and forth about buying one. This year, I finally decided to take the plunge! Let me just say that AF1 is awesome. Brandon Napier helped me get a used Zero DS that will be the perfect transition into electric. The process with Brandon and AF1 was without question the best experience I've ever had at a dealership and probably even the best purchase experience in general! From Brandon's knowledge about the bikes and processes, to his determination to get me the best deal, the whole process was excellent. Unlike your stereotypical car dealer with their "what do we need to do to get you in this car," Brandon put absolutely no pressure on me to buy it. He talked me through the features and was upfront about everything. At the end of the day, he wanted to make sure that I was happy with whatever decision was best for me! I cant say enough great things about this place! I recently took my scooter to another shop to do an oil change. When I went to pick up my scooter it wouldnt start! They eventually had to have it towed to AF1 because they couldnt figure out why it wouldnt start. AF1 took a look at it and was able to see what the other shop had done wrong, Lack of attention to detail! I wish I would have taken my scooter to AF1 to start with! They took great care of me. I wanted to buy a new motorcycle and went to see AF1 Racing's selection. Ed was very helpful and made me a deal on a better bike than I thought I could afford. It was a previous year's model but I didn't care. I got thousands off the price and no dealer prep or shipping! It was just unbelievable. It took a number of days for me to get financing because my credit union messed up but AF1 did not stress me. They were patient and helpful. I feel like I got great customer service and an awesome deal. I am very glad I stopped by AF! Racing because they made the whole experience of buying a new motorcycle fun and low stress. I'll be a customer for life. If you are looking for a motorcycle they carry, stop by and you will see what I mean. Some Motorcycle Shops treat customers like crap. I haven't physically been to the store, but have dealt with the staff at AF1 for years (through their other location in New Braunfels). I mail order parts and accessories all the time, and they've always shipped quickly and accurately. Not once have I ever received the wrong item or had anything missing from a shipment. We have ZERO dealer support for Aprilia in the Chicago area, and I rely on these guys to keep my bikes on the road. They've always come through with the advice and parts I've needed to service my own motorcycles. They're very active in and supportive of the Aprilia/Vespa/Moto Guzzi community. if you live anywhere near either their Austin or New Braunfels location, you'd be doing yourself a disservice to not stop in. Their parts selection for my Aprilia RSV Mille is second to none and even though I live in San Jose California I order all my parts and maintenance items from AF1 due to their pricing and availability. They have super fast shipping and I like how the order is checked and double-checked to make sure the stuff you ordered is compatible with your bike. I originally had some frustration with some repairs from AF1 racing that I expressed in my original post and put those on here. I have changed my rating due to the two following updates. *Update 10/4/2013: AF1 Racing contacted me and have offered to make sure my Vespa is running to my satisfaction and letting me know that they value me as a customer. I am very impressed with their response and their willingness to work with me. I have changed my rating from a 1 star to a 5 star because I can tell they want to keep me as a customer and make sure I'm happy. I will keep this updated as we move forward with getting the scooter running properly. Update 12/16/13: I was out of town until recently so I hadn't had a chance to pick up my scooter until last Saturday. I went in and talked with Brent who had been the one to originally reach out to me. He explained all the work they did and was really thorough in bringing me up to date on it. The way he talked about it I could tell he had kind of made it his pet project. He had promised he wouldn't charge me anything to get it running right and he never even hinted at asking me to pay for any parts or labor of which I know weren't cheap. He even mention that if I should not be satisfied with the results to not hesitate to bring it in. It was a very pleasant experience and lived up to what he promised when he contacted me. All of my original frustration has been completely wiped away because the way AF1 Racing responded to my concerns has truly been exceptional. They way they handled this situation tells me they are planning on being around for a long time and not just trying to make a quick buck. Was in the market for a new bike so I stopped by the local Ducati dealer and picked out a bike but of course they won't deal on Ducati's at all so I swung by the new Aprilia dealer in Austin. Boy what a pleasant surprise, I had almost forgotten what it was like to be treated like a valued customer!! I was treated wonderfully and found a bike I couldn't live without. They cut me a great deal and had the bike ready to be picked up in no time. And of course the excellent treatment continues after the sale as well, not just before and then they forget about you after they have your money. I cannot recommend them enough-they are fantastic!! I am in an Aprilia dealer less OKC working on a 2007 Tuono over the weekend. I get online Sunday evening to order a grab bag of small parts that are easy to find on AF1's website. I get the order confirmation immediately. Back from lunch on Wednesday and there is a box from AF1. Inside the box is exactly what I ordered and an order sheet with a list of all the part #'s, an identifying picture next to the part # with a check mark by each one. I get teary eyed thinking about this awesome example of how a business can run when someone knows their product and cares about the customer experience. This is my third time ordering from AF1 and it has been a flawless experience every time. Next time I am in Austin I am going to come by and shake someone's hand and say thank you properly but in the meantime this will have to do. Thank you. read more

I'm a decent driveway mechanic and have worked on dozens of bikes over the years. I have an 06 Piaggio BV200 I bought on Craiglist that proved to be total PITA for me to fix. After way too many hours of effort on my part and more money than I liked on parts I still couldn't get the sucker to run right. I had bought parts for other bikes from AF1 for several years and always had a great customer experience and knew they were a Piaggio dealer/service shop. I took the bike in and got an initial estimate. Long story short, the bike turned out to be a total PITA for them as well, yet Drew (the service manager) through perseverance and knowledge was able to get my bike working well. He was mindful of my budget and delivered. The key in this situation was good communication on his part and patience on mine. I had the benefit of this being a recreational bike that I did not need back in a hurry, so there was little urgency on my part. The initial diagnosis proved to be the beginning of the "unraveling of conundrum wrapped in an enigma surrounded by a mystery". Turns out the bike had been torn down by a previous owner and poorly repaired which lead to a plethora of issues, none of which individually were enough to be debilitating but cumulatively were a cluster configuration. In the end, Drew stuck with it and got my bike finished and not ridiculously over the original estimate considering the number of hours he put into it and the unforeseen parts that were necessary. This experience has shown me that the priority for the folks at AF1 is the customer and their satisfaction. I recommend them without hesitation. read more
