The 5-star review this place has is accurate and deserved…read more I had a Yamaha V-star that had been sitting in the garage for about three years, non-op; wanted to get it back up and running. Called 'em up and was assured that'd be easily doable. Had the bike towed there so they could assess it, determine what all would need to be done, and provide a cost estimate. The assessment took a little while (a couple of weeks), but once they'd determined that, they got the repairs/replacements done in under a week! Wow! The price was also incredibly fair. When I stopped in to pick her back up, I finally got to meet the folks and see the shop, and I gotta say, it's clear these folks like bikes and like working on bikes. This is their jam. The employees are friendly and helpful and their hands are stained with grease-- exactly who you want working on your vehicular baby! She's been purring perfectly ever since for all my zooming about town. The shop decor is fun too-- they've got a pinball machine on free play if you need to kill some time while you wait. On my way to the bathroom I saw they even have some arcade-style motorcycle SEGA games! They have merch for sale like t-shirts. Bathroom is immaculately clean for a shop toilet. Impressive. If you're in need of a motorcycle repair, trust these folks with it!!

Cool relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff…read more The guys really are super quick. I've referred them already to several. I walked in 10 mins before closing (unknowingly) after wrestling with my tires all day. They didn't hesitate and had them done in 10 mins. After a failed brake flush in my own I rode my bike up there. They had rear brakes replaced, front tire turned the right way (I'm not much of a mechanic lol), bled brakes, replaced axel nut that had stripped and let me know I needed a new brake fluid reservoir that had stripped. Took an hour to find all the problems and fix them. Seriously won't go anywhere else. Was expecting crazy prices but not the case. Wheels out on the rims under what I expected and one hour service a few days later was reasonably priced.

Haven't had them work on anything YET. But just the way they treated me with all my stupid…read morequestions I have to give them a five star rating. They're right around the corner from where I work & I just got my 1974 Yamaha Enduro 80 back (been in a garage for 30+ years) & Trevor is going to resto her. Haven't dropped her off yet as they are settling into their new place....but soon, very soon I will take my little bike in. I am so happy I stopped by to look at the shop. Peggy & I got to talking about ramps to load/unload my mower/bike & she ordered me a great aluminum folding double wide for less than what I could find online for the quality & my needs. These guys are great people people. They've moved (not far) down the road & is still really close to where I work, which is a big plus.

I am the original owner of a 1972 Honda 750K2. Had it restored in Virginia over 10 years ago…read more Used to take it to a different shop, but eventually they refused to work on it for anything other than easy tune-ups. Had an oil leak at the cylinder head. Finally found Rathbone a couple of years ago. Trevor and the crew were able to diagnose the issue and told me what had to happen (engine had to come out to fix the seals in the head). Ordered a complete seal kit and replaced all the seals in the engine, cleaned and adjusted the carbs, tuned, etc. Great work. The bike has run like a watch. Starts right up, no leaks cold or hot.

QZ Cycle - Love my old bike now that John has made sure it's running great!

Review for QZ cycle…read more John is the best. I regularly ride at over 120MPH and I know that every nut and bolt could be the difference between life and death. I wouldn't trust anyone except John with my cycle. Ii took a little while to schedule in and with good reason, John is busy because he can be trusted does good work and doesn't charge an arm and a leg to do it. I am so glad to have found someone in Austin that can be trusted to do the job right. In the end I had 1 clogged jet, 1 jet not seating right, a broken intake boot, and a cracked exhaust pipe. He repaired all of that, and also flushed all my fluids and checked my tires. On that note good thing he checked they were way off. What impressed me most is that he personally rides everything after working on it. He told me the back tire broke loose for him. I have been riding that bike for years and never gotten the tire to break loose, so I know he didn't take it lightly on her. I love that when someone not only talks the talk but walks the walk. The fact that he got down on it hard enough to spin a tire tells me a lot. Now she purrs like a kitten with that deep loud rumble she had when I first got her, no more idle problems, and the response time when I roll on it is 1000% better. Honest and good trustworthy work that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, sign me up for that!!! Thanks again John for the work, I will be back for any and everything bike related. 2001 Midnight star 1600cc 3k miles.

this man is complete nice guy, brought him a rim to put a tire on, and balance, mind you it was…read morefresh painted and I waited three week for paint and clear coat to fully cure, Brought it to this man and he said I'm real carful with new painted rims, did not use a jaw cover and drove a spoon into the paint causing me to repaint a quarter of side rim over, hell what's another 7 hours of fixing right. After almost having it simi better i see he didn't even balance it. In my opinion he's a hack not because he didn't balance the tire but because he felt the job he did on my stuff was less important than other things he was doing in the shop. Lesson Get my own balancer and tire mounter and stay away from people who don't care to do the right thing.
