They did a great job and were honestly more helpful than my insurance company. Everyone thought for sure I'd be paying $2k for the work I needed, but it came in under $900 which includes my deductible. It was all repaired in less than one day. When I took my car by them to get the damage appraised, they informed me that it would take week for one of the main parts to be sent to them. They actually bolted my broken bumper back on to hold it in place so I didn't have to use a strap to tie it down. I thought that was really kind of them. Bonus: They have Willie the dog.

I despise writing a poor review for a locally-owned business, but after months of being led-on and ignored, I am writing this in hopes of saving someone else's precious time. My husband was in a car wreck in October 2025. The person who rear-ended him has terrible insurance, so we decided to file a claim through our insurance, Allstate. Capital City Collision provided us a quote that our insurance did not agree with. An Allstate negotiator went back and forth with the shop. Part of the issue was my husband's truck had after-market parts that were damaged. Our Allstate negotiator, Elizabeth, called us to confirm that she was able to get funds approved by her manager and they reached an agreement on pricing with the shop. A check for $2,207.66 was sent to the shop to start ordering parts. According to Allstate, the shop cashed the check on January 20th. It is now March 19th and the shop still has yet to reach out. I have tried calling the shop multiple times in the last two months. Each time I call, they answer and hang-up immediately. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe they are busy. I tried calling the shop today, and again, same situation: answer, then hang up. I thought to myself, "hmm... maybe they really are ignoring our calls?" So I waited 15 minutes and called back with a blocked number. What do you know... Catherine decided to pick up and answer this time! She kept me on hold for 9 minutes before taking me off hold and hanging up on me immediately. I called back, and a man answered. He transferred me up to Catherine, who kept me on hold for 4 minutes this time and hung up immediately. While I was on hold the second time, I received a text message saying they wouldn't do business with us. They ignored my text, asking when they planned on returning the check they cashed for $2,207.66. My husband and I have been trying to get his truck fixed since October 2025. It is now March 2026. I understand that our insurance was being difficult to work with... we were annoyed by Allstate, too! That being said, Capital City Collision could have rejected our business months ago, instead of stringing us along. Rather than sending this text message 5 months ago when this all started, they chose to dodge our calls and waste our time. Unprofessional does not even begin to describe their behavior. They were avoidant, deceptive, thieving, and rude.

This is a lengthy review, so buckle up (ha...ha)…read more I initially sought out Autocraft because I needed to get some rear-end damage repaired on my Tesla (i.e. trunk replacement). They were booked out pretty far, but long story short, they ended up being able to move up my appointment (drop off) date a bit earlier than initially anticipated, which was great. The downside of this was that I was spending some time in San Angelo, TX (which was a couple hours' drive from this location, so that was kind of a pain. However, I got scheduled, and dropped the car off with Autocraft, and they hooked me up with a shuttle over to the Enterprise to pick up my rental. Cool. Everything is going smoothly so far. A note about the drop-off: Christian was the one doing the intake for the car, and he marked all the areas that they intended to remove/replace with a black grease pencil (which I have photos of, and will be attached to this review). Moving on... Over the next few weeks, there were some dealings back and forth between myself, Autocraft, and my insurance company, which was mostly just trying to get everything settled between the estimate, accepting the estimate, and getting the monies where it needed to be. BREAK--- Goodness, it's been 3 years and I completely forgot that I never finished this review... Hopefully I can pick up where I left off, if not, I'll sum it up. The general overview is: Autocraft overcharged my insurance (not my business, I guess), then did generally kind of sloppy work (which took forever), then tried to trick me with incorrect tint (first of all, they actually didn't even re-tint my small back windows after replacing them, and didn't tell me even though they knew I would have to make a two hour drive down there - trying to pull a fast one, so I had to fuss about that and make them get those windows re-tinted, which resulted in further delays and a total waste of time by me even having to make the drive there and back for nothing. Then, then ended up charging my insurance the $1k deductible AND ALSO taking payment from me, so in essence, collecting an EXTRA $1k, until I happened to catch on and had to fuss about that issue to be corrected as well. Then they played around and acted like they didn't have a way to return the funds (after taking their time trying to "figure out" what the discrepancy was), to finally cut me a check. On top of all of this, when I FINALLY went to pick up the car when it was allegedly ACTUALLY ready this time, the tint was still not correct (I had ceramic UV tint, they just got the same tint rating, but the cheap regular tint), there were some chips on my back glass (they acted like they had no idea what this was from - of course blaming it on the fact that they were already there before they started the work), the truck had a bit of misalignment - although it worked fine, it was a little off (and still is to this day). THEN, the finale, to add insult on top of all of the rest of the ~4-6 weeks that this took, when I picked the car up, by the time I got there (remember, two hour drive), it was late in the evening, and they were closing... They managed to poke a hole in my driver's side seat (I know EXACTLY what this was from - Christian specifically, but probably more of their staff, walk around with grease pencils in their back pockets, tip UP), and when I pointed this out, Christian blamed it on my husband (who got in the car for 30 seconds to move it and was wearing SOFT sweatpants with NO pockets on the back or any type of grommet or anything else. So that turned into another argument, and they finally agreed to replace the seat (still issues with this to this day as well), which resulted in... you guessed it... ANOTHER WASTED TRIP. I finally got my car back and just took it and left it alone because I was SO TIRED of dealing with these people and their shenanigans, it was RIDICULOUS! DO. NOT. RECOMMEND!!!!! I cannot express this enough!!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR REPAIRS! If I could give ZERO stars, I WOULD!

The repairs and rental vehicle were covered but the other driver's insurance company so the process was really simple by giving the claim number. Service at the front counter was very friendly, and repairs were quick (2 weeks) despite freezing temperatures for 2-3 days and the wrong headlight being sent and had to be re-ordered. I got my vehicle back like brand new, new bumper and headlight, vehicle vacuumed on the inside and washed on the outside. If I ever need repairs again I will go to Shelby location, let's hope that's not anytime soon though! Thanks Caliber!

I visited multiple PDR places in Austin, TX and most of them gave me an absurd quote estimate on getting this repaired. Let alone, it would've taken me almost 1-2 months just to get my car into the other place's facility. HOWEVER, Dingz Happen came and saved my life. First of all, Steven (owner) has such great customer service and was very quick and detailed with his response. He was able to get my 2023 Tesla Model Y in and fixed within 24-hours. Additionally, the technician named Gabe was also PHENOMENAL. Both of these people knew exactly what they were talking about and what they were doing. If there is ANYONE in the Austin area looking to get a dent/ding repaired, please don't look anywhere else but Dingz Happen. 10/10 recommend this to anyone!

The only communication we had through them after dropping off the van was through email. They sent an email saying "(T)here was a little supplement after the disassembly of the vehicle nothing crazy, I will send an invoice once it's in reassembly stages." Later, the shop agreed to lowering the bill by $731.54 but said I need to pay in full to get my van back. After paying in full, they wanted us to sign a form saying we authorized the repairs. Since I did not authorize the repairs, I refused to sign the form. Since I would not sign the form, the shop refused to give me my van back until I called the Police and the Police made them give my van back. When the van was finally released to us, we could not drive it away. The van would not start because of a dead battery. The shop personnel said that they had to constantly jump start the van in order to move it around. Why would a repair shop knowingly release a vehicle with a dead battery? In addition, the backup camera on the van does not work after they replaced the back bumper with the camera. I don't trust taking my van back to them again to get the backup camera fixed. I have tried to reach out to Caliber Corporate office but I have not heard back from them and it has been 2 weeks.

Every person we encountered was so incredibly nice and knowledgeable. We were told we would get an estimate through them and our insurance in about 3 days and then we could move forward on getting it fixed. In less than 24 HOURS we got the estimate and approval and our truck was already getting worked on! Full communication and updates were provided throughout the process! We were given a rough completion date and everything was done 9 DAYS ahead of time! I am still in awe with the whole process! Usually when you get hit and have to deal with everything afterwards it's stressful but nothing about this was! Thank you so much for being awesome!

It was easy to make the appointment to have the Jeep towed in and they got back to me by the end of the day with the diagnostic. My brake line had blown out and they were going to replace it. The next day they called to tell me there were no brake lines available for my Jeep anywhere with MOPAR, or any other manufacturer. People in my situation are all waiting months for these things on back order. Most shops would have probably told me to come tow this Jeep out of their way until a brake line was available. Not Juke! They thought outside the box and let me know a hydraulic shop they work with could build the part for me, and it would only be $80 more! Perfect! Even though they had to run around town with these brake lines, and rely on another shop to hunt down parts and fabricate custom brake lines for me, they had my Jeep back to me after just 6 business days! The other great thing is Miguel kept me updated the whole time and I never had to worry about if my vehicle was being taken care of. The people at Juke actually care about their customers and I recommend them to everyone I know.

This guy that he sent had to come back because break line and components came off next day while driving. I have pics and texts to prove. My GM 6.2 V8 come to find out common problem for that motor lifters went out so I went to him for the engine replacement. His price quoted was pretty good so I gave him a shot. My car was not even drivable this whole time (we had to wait on engine and things for months) yet I get a call the day he test drives it for the first time and he tells me I need new steering column. The car did not go in for steering issues. It was completely fine. He blames it on wear and tire from my lift and big tires. I call the people who did my lift and I called covert Cadillac certified mechanics and gave the history of car and lift and all and they called BS. My fault for not driving to Frank's place to see for myself. So I pick it up after engine replacement and steering column replacement. I get not but a mile down road from his shop and no acceleration and engine is just revving up loud . I coast off the road to luckily a gas station right there. What looks like oil and grease is splattered all over undercarriage and side and back windows. I have pics of all this. Transmission line came off. I won't give any more specific on this because I'm in process of filing the lawsuit and taking him to court. So He has a guy come meet me, I took video of his mechanics actions and what he did and Frank telling him on the phone I'm good to go, needless to say he screwed up. I get home and next day the car does it again right as I drive out of my home. I call Frank to get it towed back to his shop which is about 45 min to an hour from Lakeway. Frank gets car back, now he tells me I need new transmission. After transmission I go back to car to pickup and I go to open my door and there was mechanic grease all over headliner and seats, spilled oil on my rubber mats, bird shit all over the outside and dust and pollen caked the interior. He left windows cracked. I took pics of everything as proof. He decides to offer me a detail, so he sends me down the road. He paid for it yet I waited 3 hours. What I'm paid for my time in work you could say was a bigger loss. The fact alone my car was in that condition when he called to tell me it was ready is reason alone you shouldn't use him. I've included pics with this post. I could go on with several other smaller things I asked him to do while he had my car for engine replacement and transmission repair that I needed done. He never fixed them. I again have proof where he acknowledges he forgot so now I have to reschedule to have him finish the job. I also recorded most of our phone conversations that prove he apologizes for messing up. It came to the point where I was recording the convos because prior to me doing that it was just word salad on his part and I knew it this point I needed to document for the court. You would be amazed how many texts I have where I have had to constantly follow up and check on him after he would give me a supposed timeline or update with a promise he would keep me updated. I'm convinced all these reviews on here that are high stars aren't legit whatsoever. I have meticulously documented everything with pics, texts and phone conversations. If you're smart and reading this don't give him your business no matter how well quoted he may be . He may try to defend himself with a reply like some others he's done to on here. I've got it all though m, the truth. I was always extremely nice in all my texts to him, I was at the mercy of his screw ups and didn't want to be a jerk. No matter what when your rude or a jerk you run the risk to be even more screwed over so I chose to take high road and he knows it. I've verified and shown all my proof to several different master General Motors Master technicians and they all came back with resounding response that Frank was at fault. So now it will be in the courts hands and I will update this once it's over. For anyone that would like to know more you can contact me. I've got all you would need to run as fast as you can from this mechanic. I've even documented some new mechanics that showed me what things he did that they couldn't believe from when he did the engine replacement. His shop spliced so many wires and I took video the moment the mechanics found these issues and they talk on camera about it. I've asked Frank over the last several weeks and really last 6 months to send me an itemized list of repairs like a receipt. His reply was he texted me the cost every time he had to charge me for something. Last thing, he never once showed up on time for any of the jobs that he did. I have proof of his reasons for being late and apologies for every one of them. What kind of professional does that. All the more reason to believe these reviews are fake

Great people. I had my car involved in a hit and run. Luckily for me I found out who it was ;) Upon searching for various body shops a fellow recommend me Aj body shop. He guaranteed me Vinnie could beat any price. Previous quotes I had where over 1000 with the exception of few. The folks paying for the damage caused weren't willing to pay that much and so Vinnie quoted me for 600. The craftsmanship of this guys was immaculate. Couldn't be any more happier with the way it came out. Will definitely recommend to anyone including family and friends and most definite I will make business with this nice, professional folks again. read more

The mechanic servicing my car recommended AJ Body Shop and I'm so grateful because I had a great all-round experience there. The owner, Vinnie, gave me an extremely reasonable bid and even did some extra work without charging me for it. Their work was finished when he said it would be and they did a beautiful job - it really did look like a brand new car when I picked it up. I was not planning on leaving a review but I changed my mind. I brought my vehicle here for repairs…read morein January after a hit and run. My car had a large dent in the front driver side fender. After I picked my vehicle up and left the repair shop, I noticed that the door edge guard on the drivers door was completely different than the rest of the door guards and had been placed about 6 inches too high. I also noticed 2 areas that had damage that was not there prior to me dropping the car off. One of the vertical panels next to the drivers door window was significantly chipped with the top layer peeling away. There is also the same chipping on the horizontal panel below the rear driver side window, see photos. Once I brought this to their attention, the door guards were all replaced as well as the vertical panel on the drivers door window. The day before bringing my vehicle in for these repairs, I sent an email addressing the chip on the back driver side door panel. Since I live on the opposite side of town, I wanted to ensure that part was going to be replaced too before bringing my car all the way over there again. I never received a response to my email, so I called and was asked to go ahead and bring the car in so they could see it. But while I was there waiting for the other repairs to be completed, there was no mention of the part I had asked about in my email. I didn't say anything and I just left after the door guards and vertical drivers door window panel were fixed. While the chip is small, it was not there when I dropped the car off and its damage that was not there prior to the car being left with the shop. It's hot in Texas, and eventually that chipping will start getting worse in the heat, and I will be the one that has to replace that part. I also do not appreciate the way that my email was ignored and just swept under the rug. Those are the facts. I hate to leave a negative review, but there's still damage on my car that was done while my car was at this shop. It's damage that I'll eventually have to get repaired myself, whether it's 6 months from now, or 5 years from now. Needless to say, I cannot recommend this business.

Greg was the one who I had the most contact with and he was always willing to explain exactly what was going on and he dealt with the insurance and made sure that everything was fixed and done correctly. If you do find yourself in an accident, this is the place that I would recommend. I hope you never need them, but if you do, they were able to restore my truck to my satisfaction and I'm pretty sure they will do they same for you.
