Can't recommend Eddie enough. My car wouldn't start so I called him, he let me know that he was a mobile mechanic now and he could come to me same day. Great for me since I didn't have to get my car towed anywhere. He quickly diagnosed my leaky fuel pump, explained the issue and sent me pictures of the damaged parts, sourced a pump he could install, and got it fixed same day for a good price. He also noticed that I had a spare tire on (I got a flat the same day my car wouldn't start), and he fixed my tire and put it back on free of charge. If you are hoping to be charged full price for a canned-answer diagnostic, this is your place. I specifically inquired into if the diagnostics run for their fee would include thorough mechanical checks, but the quote I got was simply codes from the cars computer and estimates for replacing a bunch of things that may or may not be needed - in other words he did not do the work to determine what the actual problem was. I took it to another mechanic who did do proper diagnostics and found this issue to be none of what fast eddies quoted me for. I wish this kind of mechanic was not the norm, but I'm afraid they may be these days. *UPDATE* I did indeed call them to discuss this issue and was told that per their contract, the service I got was valid. I found Fast Eddie's Auto Repair thru Groupon. I took my Viper in for an inspection and Fast Eddie made the inspection very cordial, pain free, and extremely pleasant without any hard sell pitches for additional repairs or needed maintenance that supposedly "must be done soon". I was once told I needed a full 4 wheel brake pad replacement and I just had it done a month before. Many inspection stations and repair shops try to sell you on extra repairs and maintenance that (according to them) are mandatory or you will have a major break down or related issues within a month or so such as air and cabin filters, belt replacement, brake jobs, oil changes, oil/brake fluid/radiator flushes, etc, that are really not required or necessary. I watched Eddie working on other vehicles that required extensive repairs and I feel that his honesty and positive service experience is exceptional and very rare. Went in for a simple oil change. They said that it would cost ~$50, and it cost $81. Additionally, they forgot to reset the MAINT light on my dashboard that pops up when my car needs an oil change, so that light came on way faster than it should have, and I had to go back to an auto shop just 3 weeks later just to have them reset that light. read more

Our van started smoking badly yesterday and my husband was stranded. He was close to Fast Eddie's and walked in, explaining he was having an emergency. Knowing his desperation, they said we needed a new radiator and several other parts and it was going to be $850 to fix, including four hours of labor. Way too much! He went to another mechanic close by and it turns out we only needed a new filler neck and not a new radiator at all, which is a quick 20-minute job. He quoted us $30 for the part and $35 labor to put it in. Wow! Fast Eddie's definitely tried to pull a fast one on us in our hour of need. So grateful we didn't fall for it! read more

I have an 89 F150 4x4, where the transfer case twists the tranny ext housing off the end of the tranny. A few years ago, it was towed to them (they were close), and though they were nice enough, they failed to fix the issue - twice. The first time they replaced the tranny and I brought them the new tranny ext housing. All new parts installed, I drove it home, happy! Driving to work the next day, there's a loud bang as I'm getting on the overpass to I-35. But the truck seems fine. When I leave work it won't start because the starter fell off. At 60mph! It fell off because only 1 bolt was tight. Out of 2! The little ear of metal under that bolt was all that was left of the starter. Yeah, I can fix that, but where's my other bolt? Hmm...you have to take the starter off the transmission to replace the transmission, and then bolt the starter back on...all the way! The saga continues, when a few days later the transfer case does its thing again. Got it towed in, and this time they 'said' they'll investigate more. But mere hours after taking it back from them the second time, the transfer case ripped the tranny a new one, AGAIN. I improvised a tow home, but not after having to walk 6 miles. I was thinking they might cover their work, but nope, they say they can't - so I have to pay for parts and service when you can't do what you say you'll do? How's that service? I worked hard for the money I gave them, but can't ask them to do the same? I paid every last cent of 3400$, at least they could have offered a refund, or hell, a ride home. PS they never even blinked when I told them about the starter. No recognition whatsoever. Not even a flicker of concern for my safety. read more

I had my vehicle delivered here thinking it was still (b and h automotive) run by Danny who died recently I was told and he had the building prior. I spoke with a man and asked how much a diagnosis was he told me 90. I said to proceed .. a few hours later he informs that the codes he pulled and that the vehicle should be towed to the manufacturer bc it was under warranty.. I said fine thinking it was still 90 for him pulling the codes he informed the price jumped up to 150 sure was surprising.. they may be good with car repair but do not rent a uhaul from these guys. I picked up a uhaul on saturday and they didn't let me know a drop off time on sunday. SInce they were closed I figured it didn't matter ( combined with the fact that they didn't tell me ANYTHING about the charges). I was charged 50 extra dollars and when i called the guy said " guess you should have read your receipt". lesson learned guess you can't depend on people to inform you about anything these days. read the fine print. read more
