First of all, the woman helping us was very helpful and didn't mind at all that I seemed to request one tray after another for viewing a variety of pieces, not really knowing what I was looking for. I found a great pair of hoops almost immediately, which was fantastic as I'm oddly picky about hoop styles. We scoured the store and found a great necklace option though it was silver and a quick text revealed she preferred gold. While the store didn't have quite as many gold pieces as I would have liked, I did find a great pair of costume jewelry earrings to add to my gift for my friend... and the silver necklace I'd been considering for her, well, I ended up getting that for myself. By the way, they had a great selection of Pandora on sale! So I may go back soon to see if they have anything left.

This one in Short Pump is right in the center of the mall on the the lower level. It's always beautifully designed and filled with cute goodies. I love starting at the right to adore all the home goods and then making my way through the 50% off sale items, shoes, accessories, and clothes. They have plenty of spacious fitting rooms to try things on. In Richmond you're able to visit this one in Short Pump or the one in Stony Point. Both are fabulous. I rarely need help, but the people who work here that I've interacted with at the fitting rooms or cash registers have always been sweet. There are so many gorgeous things here.

So many greeters, cashiers, floor staff helping the excited customers. My daughter and I were the first customers and we were so geeking out about it! The food was Ah-mazing!! Skewers of grilled chicken with cilantro lime sauce, Caesar salad cups, lobster phyllo tarts, black bean sliders with mango chutney, sweet potato ham biscuits, lavender and lemon cupcakes, macarons, and a beverage bar! I might have missed something, but let's just say that I went home with a happy tummy! I purchased some adorbs black pants and a pair of tortoise shell hoops, along with some cute office folders! Our hubbies came along, had a beer, held our purchases and enjoyed watching us shop! It was a great crowd but not at all chaotic, everything was fun, smooth sailing and an absolute blast! In open spaces they had lots of kids activity and relaxing spots. Whole area was kept clean and constantly monitored, excellent service all around. There were several escalators, elevators and restrooms throughout the shopping center. Plenty of parking spots were available all around, pavements could use some improvement. As we walked around for a bit, I found many of my favorite stores like Lululemon, Dick's, Lego, H&M and an Apple Store too. It was a good mix of popular and expensive brands. They had Macy's and Dillard's departmental stores. Several of the restaurants included CFK, Chick fil a, Chipotle, The Cheesecake Factory, Texas De Brazil, Magliano's and lots more. Initially we went just to just visit Cold Stone, but we ended up spending couple of hours at this shopping center. I also found the rare Capital One cafe. We spent time shopping in Dick's as well. They refused to do my return, despite there being no way for me to know they would be closed early before making the drive. Then was told about the location that is another 30 minutes out, which would also be closed by the time I made it there. (Since they close an hour earlier than this one does already) Very unlikely to continue to support this brand, as someone who's bought several items over the years. It felt very dismissive.

I'm a Loft card member so I earn points and use them to refresh my wardrobe every now and again. I've now visited three times and have only purchased two tops. That's unheard of for me. Usually when I visit Lofts and Loft Outlets elsewhere, I leave with big bags of clothes. I'll have to buy online to use my rewards cards, I guess. Each time I've visited, the store has been really busy too, and it's semi-difficult to browse without requesting people move a thousand times. Last visit, during their First Tuesday promo, many of the displays looked like hurricanes blasted through them as well, and the associates all were swamped with long lines (and one customer who appeared to be returning and purchasing half the store). I love the Loft brand, and the friendly folks who work here are doing their best, but I do think this store needs some help reaching a higher quality level and providing a better customer experience.

I guess it's time to be a grown up! Jeans are really funny and you can be completely different sizes depending on brand and cut. So, as much as I hate trying things on, I decided to pop in and give them a test drive. Well, people definitely aren't lying! The jeans are soft, supportive, and definitely high quality. They're thicker than some others that I have from a different brand and I really enjoyed everything about them. I was surprised to find that my normal size fit me very well. The young lady who was working today was very nice and helpful, without being overbearing. My favorite kind of employee interaction! Definitely glad I came in today and looking forward to owning my very own pair of Madewell denim in the new year!
