This place is jean-ius!! My fav jeans are here! I bought two pair of Spanx black jeans years ago and they still look great and fit great! They costs a pretty penny, but "baby, you're worth it!" I also got this amazing Jaguar necklace for 10$ on sale, proving that you can also find some bargains if you look! The clothing at this exclusive, swanky shop is unique, while still being on trend! Love this store! I've been here a few times and the staff (maybe owner?) is so kind. She makes you feel special and will start a fitting room for you. Sometimes I struggle at boutiques because of high prices, but I feel that Fabrik's pricing is very reasonable. I will continue to be a regular customer! :) read more

It's high time I write an update - if you check out my previous review you'll see that Fab'rik and I were on the rocks for a little bit. But ever since they moved to their new location (a smaller storefront just a few doors down from their previous spot), I have been super impressed. Not only is the new space much better suited for the shop in terms of size, but the merchandise is better than ever! The racks are filled and the layout is visually appealing. I've been popping in on the regular all summer and I have yet to be disappointed. They seem to be receiving shipments on a consistent basis, thus keeping the apparel and accessories fresh and offering something new and exciting on each visit. I stopped in yesterday while helping a friend on a specific shopping mission and I saw at least a dozen things that caught my eye. Because we were shopping for her, not me, I restrained myself and didn't try on any clothes (the shoes I tried on while she was in the fitting room don't count...), but let me tell you that took a lot of willpower. Fall is in full swing at Fab'rik, so if you're interested in a faux fur vest, wedge booties or an adorable swingy top then you should totally head to Carytown and duck into this boutique. If you end up leaving with more additions than your closet needs, don't say I didn't warn you! read more

I can't recommend the fab'rik in Carytown enough! Every time I wonder in the store I am helped with the best service. I can always find something for any occasion. The best part is the clothes are affordable and great quality. I have hosted two VIP parties with Sarah which were both a big hit with my friends. I can't thank Sarah enough for her help. Not only does she pull items I wouldn't have thought to grab, but she makes me feel so confident in whatever I may try on. She is a gem! Fab'rik is a small chain with two locations in the Richmond area. The Carytown store is larger than the Short Pump location and it's always packed with awesome dresses. Most of the dresses here are priced between $40 and $60. A Carytown store I can actually afford to shop at regularly, hooray! And, there are often big sales going on where everything in the store is 25 percent off, or part of the store is 40 percent off. Even better! The designs in the store probably skew more toward teenagers/college girls, but I have a curvier shape and have found lots of cool stuff there. The girls who work here are always very helpful. Once they see what you like, they'll bring more fun stuff for you to try on to the dressing room. This shop also has a nice selection of shoes and jewelry. Some of the jewelry is handmade, making it a bit pricier, but worth every penny. The store also stays open till 7 p.m. most nights, so those of us with full-time jobs can actually shop there. They should considering opening a store in DC. Modern clothes, mostly streamlined/fitted pieces with occasional funky prints. Every color hue you'd desire. I purchased a grey and black dress with cutouts on the side, prominent back zipper, and an asymmetric hemline. First time I saw a dress like this. Oh, and the entire store was 30% off, which made an $80 dress even better (though I would willingly pay full price for the clothes in here). This is an amazing store! They have the cutest clothes and at very affordable prices. The sales girls are super friendly and very helpful. They actually seem interested in getting you in an outfit you will love and helping you figure out the best way to wear it. A rare find for a clothes store! They get new shipments in every Monday and only keep a smaller amount of clothes so it's one of those places that you have to check out on a regular basis. I have an inappropriate love affair with Fab'rik. I want to live in Fab'rik. I am so glad that they exist. I am also glad that they have a consistent sale section with dresses, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. There isn't much more that I can say about this boutique that other's haven't already said. It's trendy, chic, and the prices are not outrageous. That combination makes a happy Lauri. Also!!! You can host a private two hour event here for the free! That's right F-R-E-E. They provide champagne and snacks too I believe (don't quote me on the snacks). Everyone gets 20% off their entire purchase. Boutique style for less than department store prices. I am actually tempted not to write this review because I don't want other people going and stealing my clothes. Hands off. Kidding. Seriously, you can get some great stuff for $50. The sales people are super friendly and don't try to sell you stuff you know you don't need (read: you know you shouldn't wear). I shop here by myself a lot and they tell me what I have in my closet that would go great with this outfit. They only have a limited number of each size which can be nice. You more than likely aren't going to run into someone else with same outfit. I have gotten so many compliments on my jewelry from here too. Bold, colorful, and doesn't look cheap. Oh and for you ladies who aren't a size 2, you can shop in here. I am a double-digit size and find great outfits in here. Have no fear! read more

Upon entering fab'rik, I was on the hunt for a dress to wear to my brothers high school graduation. I had been once before many years ago, but the shop is now more intimate with half the space & gives the idea that they have a lot to offer-- which is totally true! When I'm shopping for a particular event, I like to get the stylists/sales associates to help-- they often have a better idea of what will look good & they certainly know the inventory better! Foxy was so great! She suggested a navy blue open front maxi with a belted empire style waist. I felt great in this dress & my boyfriend loved it too! All in all, I had a wonderful experience & won't be waiting a few years to come back! read more

I stumbled in this place today on a dress hunt and will definitely be back. The staff was very attentive and helped me pick things out, asking questions to help narrow my search. The clearance section distracted me (rightfully so!), and I went back to the fitting room they had put a few more dresses they found and wanted to see how things fit. That was nice and genuine customer service. The two women working there obviously enjoyed their jobs and were knowledgeable of the products. Yes, the clothes are fabulous, yet affordable but the store is more than that. On a recent hot day I was with a new mother on her first day out with newborn. Fab'ric became a happy haven as the mother shopped comfortably while the staff were understanding and welcoming. Later we returned when the new mom became alarmed that she had no place to feed her newborn. Their kindness went beyond just sales. They also have a clothes drive to help others. When I think of awesome shopping, the rough, uneven, cobblestone streets of Georgetown come to mind. Perusing the many outlets with my Starbucks in one hand and credit card in the other is an unexplainable experience. Since, Virginia is about an hour away, I don't get to frequent the outlets as much as I'd like to but Fab'rik is such a reminder of that experience. Located down "the mile of style" in Carytown of Richmond, VA this shop exudes the city life to the fullest. High-end name brand clothing for a bargain....it's AUTHENTIC! When I want a pair of "For All Mankind" which can normally be purchased at Nordstrom's or Sak's for $180, I can easily get it from Fab'rik for $99-$120.
