In May, 2016 I had a $2000 AC repair done on my 2005 Pruis that my daughter was using at Stanford. I personally did not see the shop and only spoke with the service manager, Chuck, over the phone. He was attentive and informative and I was happy with the situation. My daughter graduated in June and later drove the Prius across the country to our home in Wisconsin. A couple weeks later, the AC went out again. The compressor went bad. So there I was with a warranty on the AC work, but no way to get it done back at Dave's. This company was simply awesome. Chuck remembered me and the repair, and worked with me to find a shop near me that could replace the compressor under the warranty AND they sent me a check to reimburse me for the cost of labor and other parts. just had a front headlight bulb replaced on my Infiniti G35 at Dave's. After 3 days of trying to figure out how to do it myself, with hours of research on the internet, i finally broke down and took it in to the shop...sounds so simple...replace a dumb bulb..but honestly, newer cars make it an impossible DIY job. Dave got me the part and was able to install the same day. He had to actually take the wheel off and go through behind the wheel well to replace it. That's not something I ever was even close to figuring out. As for my experience, he was very polite and explained patiently that the HID bulb could be replaced but the issue might be a different part which apparently also wears down on HID headlights. Luckily for me it wasn't and it was just the bulb. Still, i was very thankful to have this explained up front. My cost was for the part and only a couple bucks for the labor (which he would have done for free but in this case because he had to jack up the car and take off the wheel just to try to get into the headlamp housing, did take some labor time) which i felt was a great price! read more

I took my BMW to Dave's Auto Repair for breaks, oil change and a scratching notice it was making. When I came to pick it up, the scratching notice was still there. They immediately apologized and gave me a rental car. They took care of it right away at no charge. Dave's Auto Repair went the extra mile to do a good job, their price was very competitive and seemed to know what they are doing. They were very polite and professional. I left it at Dave's Auto around 8:00 PM using their after hour service, which is brilliant. You know that your car is safe and in safe hands. My car got fixed very quickly and I couldn't be happier. I have been to Dave's auto shop several times over the last few years. They are professional and quick each time. This morning my tire was punctured and almost completely flat. I pulled into the closest auto repair shop but they were too busy to even look at the tire. I put some extra air in the tire and drove several miles to Dave's shop. I brought my 2013 Ford Escape to Dave's Auto Repair because I was having difficulty starting my car. My Ford Escape would start one time and not start the next time. While driving I would see the battery light go on/off intermittently. Then, when I later tested the battery it was fully charged. Due to these difficulties and and anomalies I took my Ford Escape to Dave's Auto Repair. This was my first time in taking any of my cars to Dave's Auto Repair. What caught my attention about Dave's Auto Repair originally was Dave's marketing his auto repair as with "integrity, value, and honesty" and that he is a family man. I have worked as a Professional Engineer for 31 years and I have a family so these words have special meaning to me like any family man or family woman. Dave and his staff worked diligently on my Ford Escape. With persistence and dedication they diagnosed the problem and formed a solid solution. Dave even refunded me back some of the money that I had paid ($1080.20) because of the difficulty of troubleshooting my vehicle's problem. I truly appreciate Dave's expertise in solving my car's problem. He and his staff showed honesty, integrity, and value in their approach and their results. Be careful at this place. Over priced and terrible customer service. Dave tried to charge me $850.00 to replace the drive belts and replace one ignition wire. Got a quote from my regular mechanic for a $175.00. Plus I got my car back the same day I dropped it off. Don't be fooled by this place. My mistake for not going to my regular guys. read more

As everybody else says: Dave is honest, reliable and is there to solve problems, not to build up more problems when you already have one. Your car. It is really like going to the doctor - how many people do a check up when they are feeling fine? It just works the same way with cars, I believe. Just this morning I had this brake light which wouldn't turn off. He just took a look, explained the problem, did a quick fix and scheduled me a check up without problem as I have the big car inspection ahead of me (and I am sure that he will work fine and give me the car back on time, as always). I also saved money with him a few times. Just one example: once Sears shop wanted to charge me $60 for a small repair (went there because wanted to save time...), Dave did it as a courtesy as we are his clients. And, above all, he is really concerned about his job. Just check the fact that he makes coments on his not favorable reviews. You know what I mean? read more

Your shop was right around the corner from my office, but because of the great work that you all do, it was quite obvious you were all booked for the day. You had no time to look at my car. However, you listened and understood my predicament and my schedule the next two days and that I needed my car, and somehow, you fit me in to your very busy schedule today AND YOU FIXED MY CAR! Unlike the shop that put my NEW clutch in 2 weeks ago, you did not take advantage of a distressed, middle-aged woman by herself and do a shoddy job as the other shop did.
