I really, really wanted to trust a local business to repair my devices, but this experience really left a lot to be desired. I brought my laptop and nintendo switch in to be repaired. After a week of not hearing anything, I had to call them and they told my that both devices were fixable and provided me with quotes. I agreed to the repairs. After another two weeks of no communication, I called them again. They were able to fix my switch but the laptop was no where near being fixed (something about ordering a part but the supplier canceled their delivery after they bought it and did not provide any other updates?) Anyways I asked if i could pick up my devices bc i was frankly just over the whole ordeal and decided to just go to Geek Squad instead. They said I would have to come the next day, which I did. When I came, my laptop still wasn't ready and when I received it back, it was missing a few screws on the bottom. Overall, the lack of communication and poor treatment is why I personally will not be back. Two stars as they were able to fix my switch (this was reasonably priced at $120) but my laptop repair was essentially delayed for an entire month with zero progress. read more

First time I took my laptop there for overheat related crashing, not only did they not fix the issue, but they also returned the laptop with a dead key. When I took it back, they fixed the dead key, but still did not address the overheating issue. When I took the laptop in for repair, I specifically told them that the issue was that the CPU was overheating, and in stress testing, they ran FurMark, which is a GPU stress test (I know this because they left it running when I took the computer back). In addition, my USB dongle was missing. Not recommended as they told me they fixed the issue, but the laptop still has overheating issues. Basically, I paid $65 bucks to have my laptop gone for a few days, with no change in how it works, other than having to replace my usb dongle. read more

You know how some people have a "guy" they trust and always go to for certain things. ACS has been my "Computer Guy" for almost 10 years. I found them when I purchased my first laptop off a Craigslist ad back in 2010. The computer was a Toshiba and it lasted about 5 years. Since then I have had multiple computers, and every time I get a new one I go straight there and have them reformat it to Windows 7 Professional and the full Microsoft Office Suite. This is just one of their services. You can choose from the different Microsoft systems and each one comes with various office and other programs. Usually around $100 for the best package. One thing I can always count on is knowing that if I choose to go to them for a new laptop I will ALWAYS get a much better price than if I went to another retail store. I learned this lesson pretty fast when I got a new computer in a hurry (the 5 year old one I bought from then finally died while I was in the middle of a term paper and I had to run to the nearest Office Depot to get another) when I brought it to ACS to be formatted they said that they could have gotten the same one for about $200 less. Also, if you get your computer there you can be sure they will help you out if you run into problems down the line. This is not to say that you need to buy from them in order to get quality help. Many times I have rushed there, close to closing and if they can, they fix any problems while I am there. If not, they will do the work and call me when it's ready. Not only were they able to fix my computers, but my iPod had stopped working, the sound stopped. Apparently there was a problem with the speaker. They fixed it. This was about three years ago. It still works. Yes, they fixed my iPod. They are open later than many other computer businesses and there doesn't seem to be anything that they can't fix, find, or offer in the way of computer services. Seriously, they are my "Computer Guy". Never had a bad experience. They treat me like a valued customer and remember me even when I call on the phone. Seriously, stop looking around and go to them, If you are looking for a new computer go to them first. I am willing to bet they will find what you need at a much better deal than another place, and when you get it they can format it to your liking. If you need anything in the computer, or electronics department, fixing, buying, upgrading etc. Just go to them. :-) read more

Samsung screen replaced: - Quality of work was acceptable, but they broke my phone case. If they were unable to remove my case without cracking it they should have told me. Also, I called before dropping off my phone and they assured me that they would have it complete by 4pm that same day. There are many stores in the area that offer the same screen replacement at the same price. I feel that they lied to me ensuring they got my business. When I dropped off my phone they again assured me it would be complete by 4pm. I gave them my office number, 4pm came and went, still no call an hour after it was supposed to be done @ 5pm. I finally called them and it was still not complete.then I called them @ 7:45pm and it was finally complete. I went here in hopes for them to help me. I took it during the week and was told the problem. I went to check again and they said that it's a different problem. They are just making up new stuff and saying it will be days for a problem that would take a few hours. It has new parts and they say that they are bad now. This place sucks. They replaced my screen and battery for my iphone 5s for nearly 100. I expected it to be like new but instead they installed a lousy screen. The color of the screen would fade and look gray. The battery sucked also. It would die in a couple of hours and when it said it had 40 percent left it would just die.
