They have an address of location you can go to for evaluations. An actual Lab catered for specific hard-drive repairs. It is very difficult to trust a company with all your memories. You can use online mail services or go to other fake repair shops to entrust them to fix your priceless memories, risking damage or uncertainty of scheduled repair as well as not knowing where your devices current where abouts. Shopping around, I believe Alandata is a solid company that you can trust to fix your Hard-drive. I never went with them since I was able to repair my hard-drive myself. Detailed diagnostics showed dust particles, spots, and scratches on the glass that Nice repaired. I'm gonna call my repair at NiceRepair a loss & walk away. Can't say the man was particularly nice nor was his repair good either. Brought in my iPhone 16 pro with a cracked camera lens for repair. TLDR: the quality of photos is awful & blurry after the repair, especially zoom. Quality of photos is terrible after the repair especially in night photos. You see the light streaks in the holiday lights. Then when recording video, as you zoom in, the picture goes totally out of focus in the mid distance then back into focus as you zoom in. Close-up macro photos are not crisp. The man wasn't the most friendly person but with the reviews here I thought that wasn't important and he'd get the job done well. He was on the phone when I walked in and after some back & forth he agreed to lower the price for a computer battery down to $240 but was not willing to negotiate at all with me for the camera lens. I relented since he had great reviews. He gave me a whole $5 discount on $80 if I paid in cash. Then tried to upsell me on screen protectors for front screen & cameras. Photos & video speaks for itself. I won't be back. I'm out $75 (plus whatever it will cost to get a decent lens in my phone. I have a long time left on my contract so no upgrades for me) and the quality of my photos is garbage. Take what you will from this review. I hope your experience is better.

The replacement only took 1 hour, but he wanted to keep the tablet another few hours to make sure the glue stayed on well, which is fine by me! He also threw in a screen protector on the house, which was very much appreciated. The cost of the screen replacement was lower than I was expecting based off what I was reading online for other stores. I also want to commend him for his honesty: after I told him about the problem my Nintendo Switch was having, he explained that he might be able to fix the GPU problem, but he wasn't comfortable doing so and taking my money when it may run into the same problem again in a few days or weeks. I highly recommend having your electronics repaired here and will definitely be taking any future electronics to him for fixing!

Choose these folks for your data recovery needs! I had two WD (called Western Digital when they…read moredrives were made) HDDs that I needed data from. I was unable to recover data from them in different ways. Disc one was an external drive that would not power on. I tried removing it from its external enclosure and powering it from another, more different enclosure to no avail. The system was indeed down. Disc two was an internal drive that used to be my C drive- my boot drive. I removed it from an old computer after it stopped booting and put it into an external enclosure. Several different computers (Mac & PC) would recognize it sporadically, though none could access the data on it- error codes always came up. Before I removed it, from the old computer, I tried booting from an optical disc and other assorted methods, many other assorted methods... I believe I was very thorough in my efforts. I sent both in and received near 100% recovery. They said it was 100% from one and 99.9% from the other but I am unable to find that .1%. I got all of this for just barely above the $300 price in their name (each, not total). So for about $600 total (including new discs on which my recovered data was transferred and return shipping) I got this incredible service. The total price I paid for both discs at 300DDR is less than I was quoted at several other places for one disc. At each step they were great communicators, from their receipt of the discs to my receipt of the recovered data. I hope I never need their services again but should, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I highly recommend them.

I had tried to recover the data off of it myself using a SD reader I purchased from amazon. When that failed, I paid another data recovery business in Irvine (this was not Alfonso or Cyber Electronics) about $500 for them to try recover it, and they took many many months to give me essentially 1% of what was on that drive, with many of those files being corrupt. They then told me that the drive was toast and that there was nothing more to be done and pretty much still made me pay because they supposedly put the work in already. They essentially told me my drive was useless now and could be trashed. I felt very suspicious about how this company handled my recovery, so as a hail mary I brought my same drive to Alfonso at Cyber Electronics Data Recovery. I explained to him my situation and that I wanted to see if in fact my drive was fully dead. Alfonso was very realistic, told me the probability of recovery given that solid state drives are harder to recover, and told me that he wouldn't bill me if he wasn't able to recover anything. However, given the condition of my drive, he essentially had to do all the work of a full recovery first, put in the hours without me having paid anything yet, to even see if anything could be salvaged. Over the next few days, he texted me every single day to give me an update as to what he had done, and what still needed to be done. He knew that the last data recovery company really screwed me, so he ensured that I would get a different experience. I'm happy to report that only a few days later, he called me with great news...he recovered my drive...the same drive that a yelp 5-star Irvine based data recovery company said was toast and recovered almost nothing off of. His price was the same as what I paid that other company Irvine company. After going through my recovered files, I can see that Alfonso recovered probably 95-98% of my drive...this is an amazing result for me and I am extremely pleased. Alfonso gets 5 stars in all regards. He's a genuine, kind individual and his customer service is top notch. He deserves all the praise he's gotten from all the amazing reviews you see about his business.

However he said that you can also provide the service for flat rate that maybe do the job. I dropped my hard drive off to Paul 5 p.m. and I had it back the next day at 7 p.m. Paul communication was exceptional. I was really happy with the service. After nearly a week with no answers, I had to return and insist on getting my computer back because they still had not completed the diagnostic. Despite keeping my laptop for almost seven days, they provided no diagnostic whatsoever and refused to refund the $90 diagnostic fee. I essentially paid $90 for them to hold onto my computer without performing the service I paid for. To make matters worse, when my MacBook was finally returned, I discovered a large dent on the back that was not there when I dropped it off. The communication was poor, the customer service was unacceptable, and I left feeling completely taken advantage of. I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the appropriate Orange County consumer protection agencies regarding my experience. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this business to think carefully before leaving their computer here. My experience was that they kept my laptop for nearly a week, failed to provide the diagnostic I paid for, refused to refund my money, and returned my computer in worse physical condition than when I dropped it off.

Go.Here.For.Anything.Cell.Related. Me: Broken screen, barely recognizable as a phone from the front. The phone was locked so I couldn't pull any data off it (online, at the stores, or with my computer). Called both Samsung and Tmobile for technical support/suggestions, and went to almost 10 different cell repair shoppes - every last person told me there was nothing they could do. Disheartening. Found XCell Repairs online and thanks to all the yelp reviews I decided to pull a Hail Mary and stop by. The people: I'm so thankful for this shoppe and it's kind and humble owner! After explaining my issue, he assessed the situation and came up with a solution within 2 minutes. He offered to take the broken screen/LCD off my phone and attach it to another working one, which would allow me to unlock/sync contacts/transfer images/USE my phone! When I asked how much it would cost, he declined to take my $$....saying that I was "doing most the work anyway." Definitely Not true, good Sir. He is just an Angel. You just can't find people like this anymore. The storefront: Everything is out in the open. None of that shady behind-the-curtain action where you can't help but wonder if they are going through your personal info or hacking into something they'll never need or use...Here, there are 3 desks and the owner sits front and center so you can see all and feel safe. If you have ever never seen grown man cry, I am sure it was because he cracked the glass of his favorite electronic device, the Iphone 3G. Luckily there is a place that repairs the Iphone for half the cost of Apple's exorbitant fee. The place is called Xcell and they are located in a strip mall next to a Smart & Final. As a matter of fact they do not even have a place of their own. They rent a small section from a watch repair shop and that is probably why they can make their repairs so inexpensive. The owners are two brothers and they were very kind and courteous to me as I walked in. Xcell was able to repair my glass as I watched and the answered every question about the process I could think of. As I waited 3 other people came in for various other Iphone concerns. Seems like all of the customers were there for Xcell and not the friendly watch repair man who quietly read the paper. Places like these are hard to find and I hope they succeed but keep the Ma & Pa approach, which has become a lost art. They have all the parts for the old E network (2G) Iphone, 3G and 4G phones. Beware that they, like a lot of other small business, do not take any kind of plastic, cash only. So stop all the crying and take your phone there and be happy again. read more

Highly recommend Xcell, honest company. On holiday, i got liquid on my new iphone 4, I stopped getting network connection and I figured the liquid got into the phone. On my return I searched for iphone repair companies and picked xcell based on the reviews. These folks are even better than the review. I walked into the store mid afternoon (saturday 9/4), James the owner was working on some phone, he stopped what he was doing, checked the phone out, opened it up, did a little bit of cleaning and resetting and the phone started to work fine. I was so relieved and asked what I owed him. To my extreme surprise James said it was free, he said it took him less than five minutes and there were no parts replaced. What a great and honest guy. A visit to apple store would have cost me atleast 100 bucks. I highly recommend this company for all cell phone and smartphone repairs. read more

The best places are often hidden away in obscure corners which you can easily pass up if you are not looking for it. Xcell Repairs is exactly that. They repair all phones, laptops and iPads too. But it seems like most of their costumers are iPhone customers. If you have an old cell phone that needs to be repaired, they will tell you of it is worth going through the cost of repairing it or just buy a used one off Craig's List or Ebay. Now that is honesty at work. This little gem of a repair shop, well more like a repair station, is right inside a watch repair shop. Their overhead must be low because their prices are very reasonable. Cash is king there so stop by the ATM before dropping in. Turnaround time is about 30 to 45 minutes but if you have an obscure phone, you may have to wait a day or two because they have to order replacement parts. read more

XCell Repairs is an honest business with great technical knowledge. Honesty is what I really look for in any repair facility. XCell displays prices of common big ticket repair items right on the wall. Cracked screens are probably the most common repair and you can see the screen costs for every phone they fix right on their wall. NO BS, or making up numbers here :-) During my visit another customer was told that it would be cheaper for them to go through their apple care on the 6+ to replace the screen then to have XCell replace it. That's the kind of honesty I look for. They look out for the most cost effective solution for their customers. Technically, XCell does a great job. Jerry had my phone opened up and fixed quickly and the problem hasn't returned. This is definitely my go-to cell repair from now on. read more

They also do computer repair not just cell phones. I got my lap top cleaned from within because of heat build up in the vents and other places were charging 80. They only charged me 40 and they cleaned my laptop inside and out. This was same day service as well....just call in advance when they open at 10. They are located in a watch repair store, next door to a furniture store....just look out for the sign. They took the time to answer all of my questions and they were honest, plus their prices are the best in town. I know this because I practically called everybody near H.B. read more

They replaced my broken glass on my 4g iphone and saved me alot of time and sorrow from dealing with Apple..Nick fixed me up in minutes and was very kind and helpful. I dropped my phone and the screen cracked so I immediately went onto Yelp to search for someone to repair it. When I read all of the great reviews about XCell my mind was made up. i took it in and they were very nice, and said that if I wanted to wait it would only take 15 minutes. I had a few errands to run so I opted to come back and pick it up. When I arrived back, the screen was replaced and my phone looked like it was brand new and the price was great! Wow what a great experience!! I brought my phone in and they had it fixed in less than five minutes! I have been to the place and got service from Jerry. He was the nicest man I've ever met on the phone repair shop. Had a referral from my local computer guy to look up Nick for an iPad issue. My home button wasn't working so off I went! Nick took the iPad and said hmmm... And picked up a razor blade and took the plastic cover off the button which had wedged itself between the button and the housing and presto!! all fixed! Great experience here today. After reading some positive reviews on Yelp I called this morning for a quote which I immediately received over the phone. They double checked to make sure they had the part in stock before inviting me to bring in my phone. I came in and even though I had expected a long wait, they recognized it as a quick fix (broken camera lens) and were able to make the repair while I waited. In and out in 5 minutes. I went in for a problem I was having, My iPhone wasn't turning on. I was skeptic when he said "Give me 20 minutes and we"ll see what happens". I gave him 30 minutes and when I returned he had it up and running. The problem was my power supply. Since then he got to know me knowing I wanted to rebuild my own iPhone myself and I occasionally went in for advice and small parts. I went in to get my iPhone XR Camera replaced and the guy who helped me out (Nick) first tried to clean it free of charge to see if it was just dirty, but it turns out it was actually just a broken camera. Nick told me it would be 80$ to get a whole new camera and replace it, and, it would only take 45 mins! My four-year-old son recently damaged the screen of his iPad Mini for the second time. My previous experience with a different repair shop was lackluster, primarily because their three-month warranty expired just before the screen died again. In contrast, Gadget Parts distinguishes itself by offering a robust one-year warranty, usually unheard of. Upon dropping off the device, it was quickly repaired and ready for collection the next day. I particularly appreciated their hassle free approach to the warranty: it is registered directly to the device, no need for the original physical receipts. I'm so glad to have rediscovered Gadget Parts and would highly recommend them for any Apple device repairs. Hopefully, I won't have to come back any time soon!

Not many people would've gone the extra mile to give me all of my options, they would have just charged me the $150 and sent me on my way. He even went over the benefits of even buying a newer generation and how the security features are supported on my old one compared to my new one. If I ever need anything repaired in the future, I am definitely coming here. I will be confident that. I'll get an answer in an auto repair.

The…read moreprocess for replacing my tablet screen was very quick and easy, with Matt explaining everything thoroughly so I could understand what was going on. The replacement only took 1 hour, but he wanted to keep the tablet another few hours to make sure the glue stayed on well, which is fine by me! He also threw in a screen protector on the house, which was very much appreciated. The cost of the screen replacement was lower than I was expecting based off what I was reading online for other stores. I also want to commend him for his honesty: after I told him about the problem my Nintendo Switch was having, he explained that he might be able to fix the GPU problem, but he wasn't comfortable doing so and taking my money when it may run into the same problem again in a few days or weeks. I highly recommend having your electronics repaired here and will definitely be taking any future electronics to him for fixing!

We were hoping to finally fix his camera lens that had cracked. I had messaged this business prior for pricing (see attached). We walked in and inquired. The kid with glasses sitting in the front checked the phone & gave us the price of $50+ (excluding tax) -- he said. I mentioned that I had messaged them via Yelp for pricing & they kinda gas lighted me & said they didn't respond to me. End of this story, just walk in & ask for the price in person. I don't mind paying, but I didn't like the lies. It took me a while to find the message, but I finally did after we left. Just wanted to show them I wasn't lying like them. We will take our business elsewhere.

She's not only skilled but genuinely cares--she's given me discounts multiple times on repairs, cases, and screen protectors, which I really appreciate. What really impressed me is the quality of their screen protectors. The one J installed actually saved my phone when I dropped it on a hard surface. When I switched to a cheaper one I bought online, my phone didn't survive the next drop--even though it was on carpet. That alone convinced me to stick with their products. I came back, and J took care of everything again, gave me a great deal, and even replaced the protector. At this point, I trust her work completely. Great service, fair pricing, and really kind people. This is definitely my go-to repair shop from now on. Highly recommend!
