Juan handled the skylight and related roof and flashing repairs, and I can't say enough about the quality of his work. He is a perfectionist and took the time to make sure everything was done correctly. He went above and beyond and fixed both the skylight and surrounding roof area beyond my expectations. Based on my experience and the quality of Juan's work, I would highly recommend Sunline Energy to anyone needing skylight or related roof repairs.

Adding on after Sunline Energy's response: I did not mention the following yet it is important to do so, in 2024 3 roofing companies told me that the roof was past due on repair, I had mentioned what happened with Sunline Energy in 2023 and was told that your company as well as others install on roofs that are not healthy enough and even with replacement of shingles the plywood was not thick enough to support solar panels, in other words, Sunline never mentioned something that was felt just by walking on the roof, ethics should be as important as obtaining a sale because people work hard to keep there home maintained, honesty is the best policy, I understand that the company must achieve sales but situations as so are very disturbing, Sunline Energy continues to owe us $1,000 due to a deposit for a job that never took place.

Just recently, the condenser fan fell off and broke leaving the AC out of order on our STR in the middle of August. First of all, the phone number gets you to an AI attendant, which is fine, but then no one calls you back. It took at least 4 calls and finally me booking a service call on their website to get a call back. Short story is that they couldn't get the parts (2.5 yr old unit), had me scheduled in two weeks to fix it, but would not call me to confirm parts arrival. Literally a dozen calls, no call back. I would avoid them if you can, until they figure out how to call a customer back. Oh, and they sold me an AC system that was not coastal rated right on the coast (therefore, no warranty coverage).

Spencer also gave us a longterm warranty on their workmanship should any additional issues arise in the leak location. Very impressed by the type of business this company runs & would highly recommend. I will personally shy away from solar/ roofing combo companies now bc many have high turnover rates given the reduction in California subsidies- sticking with a roofing first company like Smart Roofing would be the way to go.

Throughout the process before the roof even started, the company was very attentive and communicative. From Spencer coming out to inspect the property, to updates over the weekend regarding possible rain delays, I appreciated the effort to keep me informed. Once the project began, I received texts letting me know David would be the project manager while Carlos and his crew handled the work onsite. On the second day, I did step onto the property to speak with Carlos and ask questions. Maybe this was a little unconventional, but because the house is currently empty and I live in another county, I personally brought both the deposit and final check to the office. I also stayed in town during the roofing project just in case immediate access to the property was needed. Everyone throughout the process was courteous and accommodating. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I would have appreciated a final text or email from the project manager letting me know the project was officially completed. When speaking with Carlos, he did let me know the crew planned to finish on a particular day, and they clearly did. I spoke with Lydia on the phone the day I decided to bring the final check to the office, which was what would have been day 3 based on the original 2-3 day timeline they gave me, although the crew actually completed the roof in just 2 days, yes very fast for a small roof. Lydia was kind enough to call David while I was there to see if the project had officially been completed, so perhaps I may have jumped the gun a little.
