Needed the key fob battery replaced. They had them in stock, were able to ID the right one, and showed me how to do it the next time. Was in and out in 5 minutes. read more

Came in for wiper blades. The salesperson was unmotivated, couldn't be bothered to provide a good explanation and recommended the wrong brand, fitting. Came to return the blades the next day. It took 45 minutes as their IT system was broken; the staff was trying to talk me out of returning the part. Just a bad experience. read more

I bought brand new battery and it didnt work, so i thought something else was wrong with the car. I had to bring mechanic to check and battery was dead. They sold me dead battery. Inhad to spend money to bring someone to check because i thought something else is having issue. The advance auto part owner did not reinburse for that fee. They will sell dead battery as new read more

Ordered 2 parts on a Sunday with Expedited shipping (7/6), which would mean a 2 day delivery (accounting for 1 day for processing). It is now 4 business days later and they only sent me half of the order, not even the correct one at that, and the more expensive item is still missing. I have talked with CS daily since Tuesday (7/8) and got nothing but the run around and blaming the shipper. Hard to blame the shipper when the item was never packaged to ship. Already got the part sooner from elsewhere and unable to cancel the order. Best they could offer was a $20 coupon for a $64 order. No point in using a coupon for a company that has lost trust in a long time customer of over 20 years. In store employees, though underpaid, actually give a rat's a** whereas anything on the online division needs retraining and potentially new employment. read more

The store says that it would install the battery free if we buy battery from them, but today when I drove my Acura to the store, the guy felt it was not so straightforward to replace the battery in my car and then declined to install the battery. Instead, he just wanted to sell me the battery and I need to install it by myself, but that is not the store description says! If you cannot do it for all the cars, then please say it in the description! read more

Make sure you compare prices with stores online, but these guys have a little of everything you need. Also, when there are sales, the prices are good. Depending on how soon you need your part, this can be an excellent option. My favorite service at the store is that there is diagnostic tool that you can hook up to your car, and it'll read any error codes/lights that you're getting on your dash. You can then look up the codes online and find out why exactly the "check engine" light is on. This is a useful start so you don't get a load of BS from the repair shop. They also install windshield wipers and car batteries as a complimentary service. I like this a lot and saw a young woman last night right before closing thanking the staff to no end about how they saved her life. Good stuff. read more

I normally don't like to give 5 stars to chains, but this place is a great neighborhood auto store. They have come out to read my engine codes for free, let me dump my used oil in the back, referred me to a great transmission repair shop, and generally managed to keep in stock what I need -- and are open late. The staff can sometimes get overwhelmed, particularly when taking phone calls, but they are pros just like the old days and not the auto part equivalent of Home Depot employees. read more

The staff here are the sweetest and most helpful I've encountered in any parts store. And I've spent a lot of time in parts stores. The only thing is, this store doesn't have as much stock on shelf (and variety) as most do anywhere in the US. They have the basics. Maybe not the brand you want, but something that will do what you need it to do. Took one star off for stock, but they are truly awesome here read more

Took my battery there for an overnight charge. They didn't charge it and gave it back to me, saying it was charged. They said their machine has been stolen and they can't verify it's charge. Brought the battery home and install it to realize it wasn't charged. read more

Great customer service. I went in today for a simple item for a foreign car and the guy working was nice and helped me.

I just want to leave a compliment. We were in today buying some parts for our cars. There was an angry man at the cash register who drove a beat up Lexus (parked illegally and haphazardly in front of the store), and he was aggressively yelling about a coupon for his new car battery, interrupting the young man trying to help him and calling corporate on the phone with him "idiots". The Advance Auto Parts employees handled the situation with grace and a smile, still attempting to help him to the best of their ability as he cussed at them. We were impressed to say the least. read more

I'm what you call a regular at store 9027. I have a commercial account and stop in the store at least once a week. Now I've been coming to this store since it was Trac Auto so I've seen a lot of faces there. But what I had not seen was service so beyond expected. The head manager Jeb, an Oklahoma man is never just doing 1 thing. He's constantly shuffling phone calls, customers and stocking shelves. It's amazing to see a man do all this and still keep a smile on his face. Thank you to everybody at store 9027 for making my day a little easier every time I walk through that front door. Showed up here after a poor experience at a different location. The difference was like night and day. These guys were extremely helpful and friendly. They ran some diagnostics to help me figure out the problem and had me on my way in less than 15 min. read more

Eric helped me replace a side marker light on my Toyota Prius. Not only was the price very inexpensive, the service to replace was free and convenient. Eric did right on the spot. While the process was difficult of replacing the light, kudos to Eric for successfully replacing quickly! I will definitely come back to this store for future repairs. Great job team!! read more

Helpful, good-humored staff, quick service. Even for someone like me who tries to keep my car in good shape but doesn't really know much at all. Can't recommend them highly enough. read more

I went and visited here in need a particular paint marker for my car. Well I really haven't had any problems as other AAPs but this one I was pissed off. I got a rude gentleman give me an attitude when I asked about the paint and the return policy for it. He got really annoyed and told me to not even try to return it...all I wanted to know was if it was he wrong paint would I have the chance to return it for a new one. He then went on and told me to not order it at all and gave me a look. By no means was I planning on not ordering this item I really need it. I opted to just go pick the exact same item off at a nearby AAP store near Mosaic. In terms of what they offer they don't offer as much as other AAPs in the area so I would recommend you check out the one nearby Mosaic. They have more in stock items as well as very friendly customer service! read more

I have only come in here one time to buy air fresheners and armor all but was impressed by their vast selection of automotive parts and the friendly staff who actually are nice to you. I have been to other stores where they have ZERO personality but this store is awesome! Will def return to it read more

Everybody I've ever dealt with at this McLean location has been tremendously helpful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend stopping in with any questions you may have about your vehicle, as they seem happy to help (and quite effective at doing so as well). Five stars! read more

Not as nice as other AAP stores, but it's got your typical stuff.

A close in auto parts store in a tony suburban Washington DC neighborhood. Hard to believe. They have the basics that you need, keep an eye on the advertising to see what is on sale. If you don't see something you want, ask one of the helpful staff, they seem to know where things are hidden. Location is good, McLean Hardware is next door, as is Total Wine, so you can pick up most anything for your weekend projects all in one stop. read more

I live closer to numerous other Advance Auto Parts, but choose to patronize this location due to it's excellent customer service. I purchased a battery back in 2013 that came with a 3 year free replacement warranty. A few days ago, my car wouldn't start and my dealer indicated that the battery was faulty. I went in to AAP this morning and the store manager, Jeb, assisted me in testing the battery and processing/installing the free replacement (since I was still under warranty). He also educated me with some general car knowledge. For me, purchasing a battery at Advance Auto Parts is a no brainer vs. the dealer - better prices, better warranty, and better service. Note: I've generally been able to find better prices online with the frequent coupons and promo codes, read more

I had a great experience here! I was recommended this location for the expertise and friendliness of its staff. The person recommending it had been coming here for several years. I'm a new car owner and have never bought anything for cars, and the guy servicing me at the store walked me through the basics of what I needed without trying to rip me off at all. I also pulled up with a busted bumper, and asked one of the guys in the store's opinion if it needed to be replaced immediately or could be patched up. He fixed the bumper completely on the spot with a few well-placed screws and nylon bands! I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone. read more

Please beware of this McLean Advance Auto Parts store location. Just had a very distressing experience. My wife went to buy a fog lamp for her car at the McLean Advance Auto Parts. When she bought the bulb home, assuming that it was correct, I tried to install it, but the pins were incorrect. I then researched and found it was indeed the incorrect bulb. She went back to the store with the old bulb in hand and they told her that it was the correct bulb and that we were trying to install it low beam headlight by mistake. Sadly for their reputation, this 2008 Highlander does not have separate low and high beam bulbs and the idea that you could mistake the location of the headlight with that of the fog light is utterly ridiculous given that the headlights and fog lamps are in completely different locations, separated by two feet. I returned to the McLean store and they now insisted that my wife had given them wrong information so they gave her the wrong bulbs and that anyway since I had opened the package they were not returnable. I was also blamed for not having checked the bulb through the plastic of the packaging before trying to install it. Don't go back to these people, they're not reliable, knowledgeable nor honest. read more

Buy a product off the shelf, and this place is great. Special order a part and be wary. I had to go back 3 times because they gave me the wrong part. They offered no sympathy and took no responsibility. They said that it was my fault. After I returned the part the second time, they said that I needed to give them the VIN number. Since I was not driving the car needing the part, I had to go back to my home, to get it and then return. I decided that it was easier to get the part at a dealer. read more

Very unprofessional - Masks not warn by workers at this location and one was openly carrying a gun while working behind the counter. Two employees were also being very rude to another employee in front of customer saying they were going to lock him outside if he doesn't hurry up. Overall, very strange interaction here from workers. Will not be going back to this location based off these two workers. read more

I'm a regular at store 9027. I go there for all my vehicle needs. The manager Jeb, is an awesome person to work with , and he makes sure that the customers are treated well and has a pleasant conversation everytime I go there. The other reps in the store could probably learn to smile more and also pick up some customer service skills from Jeb, so it will make us all feel better, while we are all already fighting an issue with the vehicle. read more

Super nice, helpful guys!! I've gone here many times over the years needing help with my car, especially after hours when all the repair shops are closed!! They have been incredibly helpful with providing me with help, including checking things with my car than most people could probably do their self, except I am 100% completely clueless! I'm extremely grateful for their assistance!! Not all the locations of Advance Auto Parts are so nice!!! This is definitely the best location!!!! read more

The service at this Advanced Auto Parts is superb! The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and extremely helpful. They tested my battery to first check that it was bad and they replaced it immediately at no cost (although it was quite a task due to the specific fit on my SUV) along with recommending a wiper blade which is longer lasting (and on sale) and installing them at no additional cost as well. Probably the best auto parts or retail store experience I've had! read more

Been going there for 15 years and spend about $2-4K/year. I needed to check my engine light tonight and I waited outside for 25 minutes and then left. Sorry AAP my business is going somewhere else unless it is an emergency and then I'll look at other options first. read more

Came in today to purchase the best headlight bulbs I could for my car. Happy I had Juan help me. He knows his stuff! Plus, he even gave me headlight grease for when I install the new bulbs. Service like this will have me shopping here a lot more. read more

Needed my car battery replaced and this was pretty close by. Went in and got my car battery replaced/installed within 30 minutes. The system had suggested the wrong battery and the service tech was able to see that upon beginning installation. He immediately went in and got the correct battery and completed installation. We completed the paperwork right away, I actually got a $5 credit. Appreciated the good and prompt service. I will go again should I ever need to and would recommend to others. read more

This is an excellent auto parts store for all the variety of products but most importantly for the exceptional service.
