I have a technology background and from the very start I could tell Jared understood my needs and suggested the route I should go and what equipment I might need. I told him I wanted 6 hard wired cameras / 2 security panels / 2 smart thermostats / a smoke detector tied into their system and my 2 smart locks linked as well. He actually talked me out of one panel which saved me a bunch of money and am super happy as I use the app most of the time bs the actual panel. They came and finished the install in one day as promised and now I can monitor front / sides and the back of the house, open the front and the garage door remotely, turn the heat or A/C on and off, be notified of a fire and actually asked about a carbon monoxide detector while install guy was here and that is now also installed. All the doors and windows had sensors and they tested them all including the shatter glass sensors I had. When Jon came to see our home he installed everything quickly and was easy to get in touch with when we had some questions. The quality of work, installation and equipment blew ADT out of the water. After getting to know him I could tell he does some very impressive work for very large homes and businesses. Even though I was a smaller job, he made me feel important and like I was his top priority. Not bad to get that sort of treatment from the owner of a company! Ever since we have had the alarm installed we haven't had a single issue and feel comfortable that our home and new family member are safe. I won't mention the name, but I believe it is the largest in the nation. Service levels steadily declined, but they made up for it by steadily increasing their prices. After reaching the breaking point, I looked for alternatives. I found Knox Security headquartered in Scottsdale, but with nationwide connections. Here's what I learned. The hardware is better by far than that of "Brand X". The service is vastly superior to that of "Brand X". I actually dealt with human beings who were responsive, professional, and friendly. Best of all, I now pay less than half per month as I did with "Brand X". Had I made the move two years earlier, I'd have an additional thousand dollars in my pocket. I should have made "Brand X" into "Brand Ex" long ago. I've now had Knox on board for a month. It works great. It's easy to use. It looks great. And my monthly cost is less than half what it was.

Instead, he attempted to install everything using large 1-inch gray conduit running along the face of my drywall, all the way down my hallway. These conduits didn't sit flush against the wall and were clearly visible in every area of my home--exactly what I said I did not want. When I expressed how unacceptable this looked, he decided to remove everything but left all the damage behind--holes in the walls, exposed areas, and a mess throughout the house. To make matters worse, there was a week-long delay between when he first made all the holes and when he came back to finish the job, only to leave it unfinished. I was very clear from the beginning that I didn't want anything that looked tacky and would rather not install it at all if it couldn't be properly concealed. Unfortunately, that's exactly what I ended up with--unfinished work, damage to my home, and a lot of frustration.
