He and Dustin Roskam, service support lead, arrived today to make come changes to the setup about which I had complained. When they were through, I had what I had expected in the first place: simultaneous sound through the soundbar and through my hearing aids, when allows my wife and me to watch TV at the same time. PUBLIC REVIEW -- Audio Exchange (Richmond, VA) A factual…read moreaccount of my experience from July 2024 through September 2026 My experience with Audio Exchange on West Broad Street in Richmond, VA has been consistently disappointing, unprofessional, and costly. From my first visit in July through today, the business has demonstrated poor communication, disregard for my property, and a complete failure to resolve issues they directly caused. Installation Negligence Resulting in Property Damage During an installation visit, an Audio Exchange technician left my FOX access panel open, creating a direct entry point for rodents into my utility closet. This led to contamination of the area, including fecal debris, seed hulls, and damage to personal property stored inside. Despite notifying Audio Exchange promptly and clearly, management failed to respond, failed to take responsibility, and failed to send anyone to correct the issue. Their inaction forced me to hire a licensed pest‑control company to clean and sanitize the contaminated area. I paid $250 out of pocket for a problem caused entirely by their negligence. Poor Communication & Lack of Follow‑Through Throughout this process, Audio Exchange repeatedly failed to: Return calls or follow up as promised Address installation issues they acknowledged Schedule completion of the work Retrieve their own loaner equipment Provide any corrective action or apology Their communication has been inconsistent at best and nonexistent at worst. Even after multiple attempts to resolve matters professionally, Audio Exchange left me with unfinished work and additional expenses. Disregard for Customer Property & Safety Leaving an access panel open is not a minor oversight -- it created a health hazard inside my home. Rodent intrusion is a serious issue, and Audio Exchange's refusal to respond after being notified shows a troubling disregard for customer safety and property. Summary I have tried repeatedly to resolve this situation directly with Audio Exchange. Their continued lack of response, failure to complete the installation, and refusal to take responsibility for the contamination caused by their technician has left me with: Unfinished installation work A rodent intrusion caused by their negligence A $250 cleanup bill Contaminated personal property Weeks of ignored communication I am sharing this factual account so that other customers understand the risks of doing business with Audio Exchange.

I recently bought a new construction home through Ryan Homes. During the build, Ryan Homes…read moreexplained that for all cable, internet, phone and custom media installs, they only deal with Structured Cable. When I arrived to the showroom, I was impressed. They had a lot of hi-tech/ highend electronics and very nice display rooms. The consultants were very nice and extremely knowledgeable. During the install, I had cable and ethernet installed in 3 rooms and a 65in flat screen mounted in the family room. And here's where all the problems occurred... For the flat screen tv, I wanted all wires to be ran behind the wall. However, for my main media wire, they told me that it wasn't long enough to run behind the wall, so they ended up leaving it dingling from the bottom of the tv, about 3ft down to my media table. The wire is very thick and it was a total eyesore. Then, one day when I was cleaning behind the media table, I happened to look at the wire and it was definitely long enough. So I called Structured Cable and explained the situation. They ended up sending someone out, free of charge to fix it. It took about 3 weeks for the technician to come by. Which is another complaint of mine. If you need any work done, they're usually booked out 1 to 2 months! Aside from that, they were supposed to install an ethernet and a phone line in the office, but instead they installed two ethernet lines. That was a very careless mistake and I have yet to get that fixed. Lastly, I feel that there were some important options that should have been mentioned during the initial consult. I'm the type of person that only likes to make a purchase once. I don't want to have to upgrade down the road because things are outdated. I'd rather buy the best available at the time of purchase. With that said, I wasn't very happy with the surge box and the quality of most of the wires that they used.

I moved into a home with a surround sound system wiring installed by Structured Cable of VA. I…read morethought it would be a no brainer for me to contact the company and attach a system to the existing wiring. They installed a Yamaha receiver and speaker system to the existing wiring. The system they installed cost me over $3,400. From the day it was installed it has been nothing but a nightmare of them coming out weekly to fix an array of issues. From the speakers not working to the TV going in and out and constantly replacing wiring. At one point they swapped out the receiver hoping that would fix the issues. Finally, they blamed everything on my new 72-inch screen TV. Now they are trying to go back and charge me $150 for service calls and scheduling new service calls to try and fix the issues. My problems still exist and I'm searching for answers. I wish I could give less than one star.
