PUBLIC REVIEW -- Audio Exchange (Richmond, VA) A factual…read moreaccount of my experience from July 2024 through September 2026 My experience with Audio Exchange on West Broad Street in Richmond, VA has been consistently disappointing, unprofessional, and costly. From my first visit in July through today, the business has demonstrated poor communication, disregard for my property, and a complete failure to resolve issues they directly caused. Installation Negligence Resulting in Property Damage During an installation visit, an Audio Exchange technician left my FOX access panel open, creating a direct entry point for rodents into my utility closet. This led to contamination of the area, including fecal debris, seed hulls, and damage to personal property stored inside. Despite notifying Audio Exchange promptly and clearly, management failed to respond, failed to take responsibility, and failed to send anyone to correct the issue. Their inaction forced me to hire a licensed pest‑control company to clean and sanitize the contaminated area. I paid $250 out of pocket for a problem caused entirely by their negligence. Poor Communication & Lack of Follow‑Through Throughout this process, Audio Exchange repeatedly failed to: Return calls or follow up as promised Address installation issues they acknowledged Schedule completion of the work Retrieve their own loaner equipment Provide any corrective action or apology Their communication has been inconsistent at best and nonexistent at worst. Even after multiple attempts to resolve matters professionally, Audio Exchange left me with unfinished work and additional expenses. Disregard for Customer Property & Safety Leaving an access panel open is not a minor oversight -- it created a health hazard inside my home. Rodent intrusion is a serious issue, and Audio Exchange's refusal to respond after being notified shows a troubling disregard for customer safety and property. Summary I have tried repeatedly to resolve this situation directly with Audio Exchange. Their continued lack of response, failure to complete the installation, and refusal to take responsibility for the contamination caused by their technician has left me with: Unfinished installation work A rodent intrusion caused by their negligence A $250 cleanup bill Contaminated personal property Weeks of ignored communication I am sharing this factual account so that other customers understand the risks of doing business with Audio Exchange.

Update 2: 4-stars for owner…read more1-star for staff at location and repair Owner called and has sent a full refund after discussion. Also offered to repair again, but after the escalation of this situation and dealing with staff at store on multiple occasions in-person and phone asking to have this done in the first place, we declined to use them to repair the cracked screen. Update: "Jeff", the manager reached out to repair via text, but we simply don't trust this business after visiting in person and then calling twice afterwards to have them replace in one day. Sorry, but we have never had a cracked phone screen in this household until we used your product. And it very well could have been cracked or dropped by your business since we noticed the cracks less than 18 hours after getting the phone back. It's a shame you couldn't replace it when we brought it to the store. Hopefully, a refund will be made since we gave you three chances to make it right. Steer clear! This place will swindle you. They do not honor warranty. Had a screen replaced because the touch aspect stopped working. Had phone for four years and never had a cracked screen. Less than 24 hours after getting it replaced, screen cracked and not by dropping. Paid $150 to replace the first time for an older Samsung Galaxy. Staff was rude and said they don't replace from phone drops, but if they opened phone they could tell if it was dropped or not. Hmmm, so I should believe them to tell me if the phone was or wasn't dropped? As it's an older phone (four years), I can guarantee it has been dropped a few times, so looks like an easy out for them to not cover warranty. They are either really bad at repairs or offer cheap replacement products to customers. Go to a more reputable place, like Computer Cave. They are honest and offer quality repair and products. Staff at this Fruit Fixed Store couldn't even tell me how much the part the cost or even acknowledge that glass can crack from cheap quality or improper repair. Save your money and repair elsewhere at a more reputable place.

Manned by the Parker's Boy Company, (a regiment of raw-recruits between ages 14-25) the battery was part of the Confederate Howlett Line - designed to keep General Butler's army of the James from supplying Grant's army at Petersburg. I give the site four stars because there isn't much to see. (other than earthworks, a small monument, and some historical markers) Nonetheless, the National Park Service keeps the site in good condition and maintains the 1/4- mile walking trail. The other reason why I give it only 4 stars is due to local ghost superstitions. Although I did Not encounter a ghost when I visited Parker's Battery, I did hear a couple of Phantom rifle shots in the distance. Since Parker's Battery is one of 13 sites in the National Park Service owned Richmond National Battlefield Park, I do expect that the Park Service looks into the issue of ghostly gunshots at this site. Below are a few pictures that I took during my visit to Parker's Battery on January 24th, 2015...
