LiveWire in Richmond Virginia is not just the type of company that you want to consider for your…read morehome theater needs, but the type of company that we would all like to work with. The difference is their people which start from the top down with Henry Clifford (henry@getlivewire.com) and one of the key people who have joined him, JD Dessofy. It goes beyond prices and service. They care about you beyond what you would expect. Many companies talk about exceptional customer service - LiveWire lives it. Early in 2014, we signed a contract with Theatre Extreme in Richmond, VA to install a home theater in our new home in Chesterfield. We provided funds to Theatre Extreme as per our contract presumably to purchase the materials and prepare for the installation. As we approached the installation time, we stopped by their store front in Short Pump, and found an empty store with a note on the door that they had gone bankrupt and were out of business. We were devastated. One of their former employees, JD, went above and beyond to find some equipment to help to start the installation. We contacted Henry ad LiveWire, and in his compassion and good businesss sense, he and JD worked with us, many times taking no profit whatsoever, in order to help us complete the project. It's comforting when you deal with businesses who keep their word and do what they say. It's rare when you see these companies go above and beyond. It's truly unbelievable to find a company who will put their own interests aside and work passionately to develop a solution to a problem which they did create nor for which they had any responsibility. It's hard to say enough good things about Henry Clifford and JD Dessofy. They are exceptionally good at what they do and even better people. David DeGonia Chesterfield, Virginia

When I had a recent issue with my Sonos system, Dan, the office manager helped me work through possible causes and eventually tied the problem back to the Rotel amp. He then arranged for a tech to stop by and remove the amp, get it repaired under warranty, and then reinstalled. Throughout the process he was friendly and patient, working through the problem, rather than taking the easy way out and just quickly "scheduling a tech for repair". Great customer support!

Desperately needed someone experienced in installing Google Nest devices (2 Thermostats, 1 Hello Doorbell, and 2 Mini speakers) before she got home. I received limited replies, and the few I did receive had absurd pricing and was not able to do the installation in the time I needed it done. Even though 'Wired Up' had no reviews at the time, they were the only provider who responded with an honest quote and were able to fit me into their schedule. Andrew came onsite, and quickly got to work with the installation. Unfortunately, he ran into several obstacles (not his fault) with my wireless internet and the Nest devices not communicating properly. Instead of dropping the problem in my lap to deal with, he stayed for several hours troubleshooting my wireless issues until he got everything resolved so the Nest devices could communicate properly. Words can't even describe the level of professionalism and customer service provided to get this accomplished! Needless to say, Andrew was able to get everything installed successfully, and my wife was completely overjoyed with the new home automation. I agree with the other reviewers. This company is not a good choice for security. It makes me wonder if they actually have people monitoring and contacting the police if/when your alarm goes off due to a break-in or if they just send the alert to voicemail- and will contact the police when they open at 7:30!!!

Weeks between replys to my calls, the work they did in my home was mediocre at best, and they even took an extremely expensive part of my technology system with them when they left that wasn't theirs.
