July 26, 2026 On June 16, 2026, I met with a Tittle Brothers…read moresales representative regarding replacement windows. The salesperson was professional, courteous, and I paid a deposit after receiving a quote. After that, however, communication virtually stopped. I sent several text messages requesting an update but received only automated responses. No one contacted me to schedule measurements or provide any information about the next steps. On July 8, 2026, I finally called the company to ask why no one had contacted me to schedule measurements. An appointment was then scheduled. On July 9, 2026, I spoke with Chelsey regarding the $500 window coupon advertised on the company's website. I asked whether the coupon could be applied to my order since no measurements had been taken, no windows had been ordered, and no work had begun. She told me I could not use the coupon because I had already signed a contract. I never received a copy of the contract. I explained that I had only received a quote and paid a deposit, and that I live on a fixed income. Rather than showing any understanding or attempting to help, Chelsey told me to "take out a loan." I found that comment insensitive and unprofessional. Her tone throughout the conversation was condescending and dismissive, and she spoke to me in a manner that I found disrespectful. The conversation upset me to the point of tears. No customer should be treated this way, especially after experiencing weeks of poor communication. For additional context, I also contacted Tittle Brothers on October 23, 2024 regarding a roof replacement. I never received a response to that inquiry and ultimately hired another company. While I appreciated the professionalism of the salesperson and the gentleman that finally measured my windows, my experience with the company's customer service has been extremely disappointing. I am submitting this complaint because I believe customers deserve timely communication, respectful treatment, and professional customer service. I hope Tittle Brothers reviews how customers are treated and takes steps to ensure others do not have a similar experience. Requested Resolution: I would like Tittle Brothers to review this matter, address the unprofessional customer service I experienced, and honor the $500 window coupon, given that no measurements had been taken, no materials had been ordered, and no installation work had begun when I made my request. Follow-up does not happen as promised. One morning prior to 7 a.m., I was awakened to the sound of my dogs barking insistently, only to find a truck full of building materials, and three strange men walking around my lawn. The owners son had forgotten to tell me materials would be delivered. The actual workers get 5 stars. The owner and son have earned one star. Thus, the average of 3 stars for this review. They were polite, timely, meticulously clean. They worked from sun up to sun down, barely taking any break. I have nothing but good things to say about them. I found the owners son to be quite difficult. This includes a remark that the son made about his (Mexican) workers that was quite derogatory and I was offended. After the work was completed, I had a gusher of a leak in the sunroom late one evening after the first rain. I called the next morning and was told they would come to repair the damages mid morning the following day. They failed to call or show up. I got up on a ladder and took photos, shocked by the sloppy workmanship I discovered. When I called the following day to inquire, I was rudely treated. I told the owner NOT to send the son back to my property. The following day the son arrived. I am now told that they have corrected the deficiencies, however I have zero confidence in these folks. I am considering paying a second company to do a full inspection to provide assurance that there are no more leaks and I will not have trouble down the road. Photos will be posted.

I honestly felt like they were trying to sell us a time share with their hard sell tactics and buddy/buddy attitude towards us. The second company was better. Napier's was our third quote. My wife and I were around 10 min late meeting the rep at our house. While waiting for us, he went up on the roof, checked everything out, measured everything out, and had the quote ready. He spent maybe 15 minutes going through everything and the quote was around $4k less than the next cheapest quote we'd received. We appreciated his no nonsense, no BS approach and signed on the spot! The new roof was installed the following week while we were at work & we couldn't be happier with how it turned out! They did a fantastic job on both install and cleanup. My neighbor even commented on how impressed she was that they came into her yard to clean up, too! If you're looking for a no nonsense, honest company for a roof, do yourself a favor and contact Napier's first. My evaluation of Abercrombie Construction Company: In all…read morefairness, I will evaluate all individuals / sub-contractors I came in contact with individually based on work completed and efficiency. I will then describe what constitutes earning that grade. Robert (Sales Representative): A - Very personable and efficient. He made me feel like he wanted what was best for me and took his time listening to my requests. He then took several measurements of my basement and then gave suggestions on what he would do and why to save on money and time. Drywall guy: B - Did an ok job, but I felt it could have been done in a more efficient manner. An example is after he completed hanging drywall I thought he had enough time that day to then mud and give enough time to dry before coming back the next day to sand. The earliest he showed up to work was 10:00am and some days only put in two hours and was done. He was very personable. Trim guy: A - Older gentleman with "old school" work ethics. He showed up to complete the job at 8:00 sharp. This was the earliest any of the workers showed up to complete work. He stayed until his entire job was complete. Very efficient and did excellent work. Plumber: A - Again, an older gentleman with "old school" work ethics. He had to leave a few times to get extra parts for unanticipated issues. He completed his work within a reasonable timeframe. Carpet installer: D - I was not happy with this guy. A much younger guy showed up at 11:15 to start the job. He had to leave to purchase more glue as he started with a half bucket to do an entire basement. He left the house at 7:05pm. There were many bubbles and a couple creases in the carpet after laying it. He had to come back to fix at least six areas which took another two and a half hours. Ernie Ambercrombie (Company Owner): F - Very rude and inconsiderate. He appears to have quite the temper too. The original estimate was given in February with work to start in June. The sales rep. (Robert) called in May to confirm start date. The start date was pushed back from Monday June 20th to Thursday June 23rd .It was then pushed up to Wednesday June 22nd and actual work did start then at 10:30am with the small demolition of existing drywall. He then told me it would take two weeks to complete the job. I was originally told it would take one week. The final check was given August 1st due to me being out of town for two weeks in July of which he knew was going to happen. Prior to me leaving town on July 5th, he showed up to finalize some things and get paid the balance of what was owed. I have never seen him move so fast to get things done. He was at my house four times that day to get things cleaned up due to not having necessary material to complete the job. When I mentioned the following issues: carpet, a small crack in the wall, connecting of my dryer, connecting of laundry tub, and cutting of tubes for plumbing he was a little heated. I also mentioned to Ernie, that nobody called or showed up the previous Friday. He asked me if someone was supposed to. I answered with "I don't know". That was a wasted day in which he could have been made aware of the issues. Upon his last time leaving and coming back to the house, he told me to have the final check ready for when he comes back. I paid him three quarters of what was owed on the balance due to the issues that still needed fixing. Ernie then said to me "You are just being shitty". I felt he was being very unprofessional with this comment and told him the issues need to be fixed. He repeatedly told me there was a warranty on the carpet. I then told him he would have to have the carpet guy back out after my vacation. He stated the guy would be out on Friday July 22nd. When July 22nd came around, there was no call and no show to fix the carpet issues so on Monday July 25th I stopped in to his office to inquire about when the work was going to be completed. He called a half hour later and told me it would be Tuesday the 26th between 10:00am and 12:00pm. Ernie showed up on Tuesday the 26th at 4:05pm to cut the plastic tubes. I continued to get a calls to pay the balance in full again throughout the remainder of the week. On Friday July 29th, I got a call from Ernie in which he then called me an "A-hole" and threatened to take me to court for the balance. I then told him this conversation was over and hung up on him. The drywall guy finally came on Sunday July 31st to fix the crack in the wall and I paid the balance on August 1st. Over all, I thought the work completed was ok, but many things could have been completed more efficiently. If I had to recommend this company to anyone else I would tell them to stay clear unless they like being called names and being treated with a lot of disrespect by the owner. The average score from all the above is a grade of C.
