He did a quick and thorough quote and didn't push at all. Very well communicated throughout the project. The install team of Derek, Jason and Pat were super efficient and clean. I had high anxieties due to the size of windows and working in bedrooms but it was kept SO clean. Total of 17 windows (some were 3-piece sets) were replaced within 2 days. They laid plastic on the carpet and cleaned every room fully before moving on. Even 2 windows which were found to have serious framing damage within the wall from years of leak were repaired without concern. Interior and exterior trim work is 100% quality and they did so great matching to existing. We are so happy with our project, reassured to know our home is protected from leaks on these windows and we will be back for the second half of our home as phase 2.

Poor service after sales. I purchased a replacement garage…read moredoor in September 2025. On December 8th 2025, the rubber seal on the bottom panel caught itself in the side rail and tore completely off the door. I called for service. On December 10th the technician arrived and suggested that the failure was user error, that I had "allowed" the seal to become frozen to the ground. First, I've never heard of such a thing. Second, this is Michigan... Now, after several weeks, and several attempts to reach Jason. He texted me and said that "the manufacturer had rejected my claim"??? But, not to worry, because the garage door guy, would sell me an "aftermarket" repair for just $300.

The workmanship seems good, but too many difficulties dealing with Jan Door…read more First appt was scheduled sometime between 10 and 2. Phone rings at 9:10, asking why I am not here/available. But he does not have the necessary parts (hinges) on the truck. He quotes a firm price, collects a 50% deposit and schedules another visit. The day before the second appt I call to (re)confirm the 8:30 appt. Yup, on the schedule. The day of the appt I call ... and am told the 8:30 appt is now 11-1. Um, okay. I am told that the tech will call when he is 30 minutes away. 1:25 and no call ... so I call ... and am told that he is here and working. Nobody is here. Nobody has called. Telephone lady seems baffled and promises that I will be called 30 minutes before they arrive. Two techs arrive, the promised 30 mins away call was never made ... and they want another $100 above and beyond the Balance Due listed on the work order. What ??? Office is flummoxed. I am placed on Ignore for 15 mins, then the telephone lady said the mgr would call me back. They did not call. Ultimately they agree to do the work for the original Balance Due amount. Techs try to take my copy of the work (receipt) order when they leave. Techs did not clean-up after themselves, leaving me to pick a handful of metal shavings from the carpet. The fact that they ultimately solved the problem for the quoted price is the only thing separating them from a 1-star review.

I am giving this company a five star review because before the technician arrived to fix my garage…read moredoor, and on the appointment day the company sent a bio about him and his photo so I would know who I will be dealing with, and how he looked like. It was a good security measure. The other reason for the good review is because of the outstanding service of the technician, Kyle B. He is a nice aspiring young man with the right friendly attitude. He did a garage "tune-up" and diagnosed the problem--which, he said, was the door itself. He went into great length explaining to me why. He pulled that string above the door and showed me that the problem was not the mechanism but the door. He then proceeded to give me a list of prices to replace the garage door. After he left, there was a minor problem with the door due to me forgetting instructions on how to use the string above the door so I called back and Bruce, the manager, took ownership of the issue and sent Kyle back to re-check the problem. Kyle came back and fixed the garage door again and told me to call him directly for any future problems. He had a nice attitude as usual. Also, when I called Bruce to commend Kyle, we had a nice long chat and he sweetened the replacement door deal for me and gave me a good discount and put that in the notes in case I decided to go ahead and replace the garage door. Overall, I had a refreshingly wonderful experience with Alpha 1 Garage Door Service due to the prestigious service of Kyle B. and his manager, Bruce. I recommend using this company for sure.
