We had dinner here for our 20 year wedding anniversary. Amazing food, along with the ambience and service We will definitely be back. We got lucky with it being on their "Latin Night" with great live music and salsa dancing!

Food was great. Wow the cheese and meat board was a big hit! Shrimp and pasta had the most amazing flavors from the various tomatoes and fresh herbs. Special of the day was bass and it was very, very good. Chardonnay was tasty and not too expensive. Nicole was so friendly and very attentive. Lovely dining area and live Latin music made the evening memorable.

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Adelaide before having to depart. The venue is upscale, casual with a covered patio so that you are outside yet completely shaded and overlooks the pool area. I tried their Green juice.... Kale Cucumber Ginger Apple Juice. It was a bit sweet so if I got it again, I'd ask if they could cut back on the apple as I think that is what was making it so sweet. Otherwise, delightful and made me feel like I was being "good" with the kale, ginger and cucumber first thing in the morning. Their avocado toast is loaded with avocado! Yum!! And the presentation was beautiful. I opted to add a poached egg which they prepared perfectly! Husband got a normal eggs and sausage breakfast which he enjoyed thoroughly. Really appreciated that they gave us a little carafe of coffee so we didn't have to wait for refills.

The food quality was atrocious--by far the worst I've had in San Diego. The steak was rubbery, and the chicken and fish smelled so bad it made me nauseous. We couldn't eat it. They charged 5$ to split a salad and $2 for ice in a whiskey. For my friend's birthday, they offered a "special dessert" that was laughable--melted marshmallows with two biscuits. Despite having a 6:30 reservation, we left at 10 p.m. without anyone checking on us or attempting to make it right. They tried to add a 20% tip, which we refused. They also didn't refund our $80 steak--only reduced it halfway. This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. If you want to waste your money, this is the place

    Buddha Bowl - Delicious!

Date of visit: December, 2025 Adelaide is located inside l'Auberge hotel in on Camino Del Mar in Del Mar. We came for brunch and had a nice corner table inside. You can see the ocean in the distance. Decor is contemporary. The waitress was pleasant, service was attentive and food was delivered in a timely manner. The Buddha bowl I ordered (About $24, Dec 2025) was delicious, colorful and a healthy portion. I would dine at Adelaide again. Parking: Free on some nearby streets, paid lot across the street, nearby metered street parking. Helpful?

Adelaide is the restaurant in L'Auberge Hotel in Del Mar. Upon entering the hotel, walk straight and you see this restaurant with views of the pool, the ocean and it's bright modern casual surroundings. Seating indoors or outdoors available. The menu is limited and I would have preferred more French cuisine options, to be consistent with French name of the hotel. The menu offers mostly light southern cal lifestyle choices and the kitchen staff was most accommodating to dietary requests. With only one waitress, it was often a challenge to get attention. Otherwise, service from the restaurant staff was very good to us and my pup...who was always offered a bowl of water. Everything I ordered was delicious and appealing with nice plate presentation. I remember in the 1960's, the half-timbered Del Mar Hotel was on the very site where Auberge Del Mar stands today. There is a traffic light right at the hotel from Camino Del Mar, so the access is easy. There is a handicapped parking space available right before the valet circle. The dining room at Adeleide is located at the rear of the lobby. It overlooks the pool and the ocean in the distance. The decoration is rather anonymous, with beiges predominating everywhere. The dining room opens at 5:00 pm in the evening. The fish of the day was most enjoyable. The wine list at Adeleide Restaurant offered some interesting wines, so I am sure you will find something that will please you. The waitress was pleasant. She knew the menu very well and provided me with all information I needed.

Romantic and gorgeous views of the ocean. My friends were and I were here last night for girls night. We caught Sunset and it was so magical. The views from this restaurant are unmatched. It is still fairly cool to march, so they did turn on the heaters for us and also gave us blankets! So don't let the cold water hold you back from trying this spot. We ordered a number of dishes, starting off with an amazing Focaccia bread, we enjoyed it so much we ordered another round! We ordered a few salads and then our entrees. The Chidori chicken was amazing, juicy and crispy. Our server was superintentive, really informative and very nice! Overall great experience highly recommend it if you're looking for an elegant spot in Del Mar with a great View!

we got bottled still water (i think the bottle said evian) - they also had sparkling (if thats more your style) started off with foccacia (comes with 3 large "blocks" of it) -- very soft, tasted like buttered toast, not rly sure what it came with but it was basically tasted like cream ceviche was delicious! the orangeyness was a nice surprise and i loved the crispy seasoned tortilla chips (also very cute) i ordered the jidori chicken as my main: the greens were pretty bitter but the rest of the meal was absolutely delicious -- crispy chicken skin and caramelized onion mash was also super soft and tasty i did have a little bit of a tough time cutting my chicken with the knife i had ginger lemon was very lemony -- tasted like a lemon ginger shot service is polite but i felt that it was a bit slow. Food also took longer than i expected but that might be because they were getting all the orders for the table out at once

We haven't eaten at the restaurant at the L'auberge in a few years, but what a treat! The service was wonderful and friendly and the food came out hot and delicious. My son's pancakes were so incredibly fluffy and all the eggs we ordered (some sunny side, some scrambled, some fried over hard) were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the Bloody Marys also. Their in house bloody mary mix is vegetarian (no anchovies or clam juice) and delicious.

I enjoyed the food at Adelaide at L'Auberge more than I expected. The egg-white frittata was a big, decent portion, though a bit too oily for my taste, and the hashbrowns were unique, served as a patty. The coffee was delicious, and while the staff wasn't very welcoming at first, they were nice by the end. Loved ocean views.

Yikes.... We were the first ones seated at opening at 5p. We didn't get our food until after 6p and no we didn't order at 5:59p. A party of the same size (4) seated at least 10-15 minutes after us got their food first. It was weird. Our server actually said our food was coming out in "four minutes." That is a direct quote. I thought that was pretty impressive he knew the flow of the kitchen. He was waaaaaaaaay off. Daughter A ordered scallops dish. She said "The best thing in here is the peas." Daughter B got the chicken. It was dry. Sigh.... Wife who was sharing the chicken plate with daughter ordered shrimp salad and felt the dressing was drowning the salad. My salmon was good but after waiting nearly an hour it was not enough to save the night and I was just ate for the sake of eating. No joy there which is sad. Dining, especially in a place as nice as Del Mar, and especially during a holiday staycation should be savored not lamented. During the ridiculous wait for our food I could see our server helping other tables but also running drinks to the outside bar in the lobby. Fine, if the server was swamped, was there nobody in the kitchen to run food? Our food was brought out by two ladies that I didn't see at all in the restaurant which was weird. Managers? Our server at the end apologized for the wait and took off the "appetizer." You can't even begin to visualize the giant a$$ air quotes I'm using on "appetizer." It was homemade sourdough bread and butter basically. Promotes itself as a place with views of the ocean but you really have a view of the pool and buildings. One and done

That was cool. The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable of their products. I ordered their Citrus Celery juice. For a celery juice, it was well balanced with flavors of orange, apple, grapes, and grapefruit. My fiancé ordered the beet root smoothie with the cacao chips. This was also good. A little bit on the sweet side especially for being beet based. But still very refreshing and also well balanced out with the cacao. The açaí bowl was the best I ever had. The presentation said it all. It was paired well with green apple, raspberries, bananas, walnuts, all the oats, maybe Nutella drizzle and coconut shavings with Greek yogurt. I was down for a second bowl. But it was very filling. Once again a perfect blend of everything. We also tried the avocado toast. I was happy to see that this dish came with more than just avocado and toast. They included an egg arugula, and a tomato. Nowadays, that is way more than what other cafes offer. I thought it was a good price for what you got.

The menu is a little bit different than I remember, but still focuses on fresh and healthy. The girl working at the front used to also work at the PB Location and she's very friendly and knowledgeable. She also gave us samples of the berry smoothie and the green juice to try. I went with the golden milk latte to drink, and it was fabulous. I did have them add a shot of espresso to it because when I was ordering a latte, I definitely was looking for caffeine. It's lovely with turmeric, cinnamon, oat milk, MCT oil and black pepper. I also ordered the Hot Chick salad. It came out looking gorgeous. The salad tasted really good, the chicken was seasoned nicely, and I liked the different textures with the rice, the quinoa and the roasted corn. The dressing was super tasty too. When I got towards the end of my salad, my last few pieces of avocado were bad. It wasn't a dealbreaker for my experience, but I would've definitely preferred that they would've left those pieces out. Also, the little toasted cracker things tasted like cardboard, dry and flavorless. I probably should've tried scooping up some of the salad with them, but I left them on the plate. Overall, I would definitely return to this location. You cannot beat them if you are looking for something fast, casual, and healthy. Definitely not on the cheap though, my salad and latte were $34 before tip, but I don't mind paying for good quality food that is fresh and healthy.

There's free parking in the back and street parking in the front. This place is known for their breakfast but their other items are just as good. We recently found out the Chicken Fettuccine Al Pesto is the owners Italian mother's recipe. My youngest son enjoys getting this dish. My favorite breakfast dishes are the chicken and waffle, country fried steak and french toasts. They perfectly bread the chicken and the homemade country gravy it adds that extra goodness to the meal. I also love their fresh-pressed juices, and I usually request a plantation iced tea -- iced tea mixed with pineapple juice. So refreshing! The decor is adorable too. It has a cozy farmhouse café vibe that makes the whole place feel warm and inviting. And the bread pudding from Sunny Side is definitely worth mentioning. I usually don't like bread pudding, but this is far from ordinary. It's made with croissants and chocolate, drizzled with chocolate sauce, dusted with powdered sugar, served with raspberries, and strawberries. You have to add the ice cream...cause why not? Absolutely indulgent and perfect for sharing. Totally worth those extra calories! Overall, we'll definitely keep dining here. Great service, delicious food, and so many good family memories every time we visit!

Our waitress made a mistake and put in the wrong omelet for us, so ended up with the Santa Fe, which was...OK. I guess they bake it, so it tasted a bit dry and it definitely needed more seasoning. The hash browns had the same problem. Our daughter got the chocolate chip pancakes and she loved them, but we found them to be pretty average. Their showcase dish--the baked apple pancake--was definitely spectacular when it came out on the plate, but the actual eating experience was only so-so. This Achilles Coffee is tucked smack dab in the middle of a health-centric mall surrounded by wellness centers, nutritional experts, and yoga studios. The decent sized parking lot is typically busy but has a good churn throughout the day. There's street parking too and the commuter rail nearby for those looking for a light walk. With seating outside on both the ground level and up on the roof, it's a perfect spot to soak in some sun, breathe in the ocean air, and have a sip and a bite in this quiet part of town. The menu here is comprehensive with coffee (espresso, pour overs, cold brew), teas, specialty drinks, as well as breakfast and light bites to pair with a good start to the morning. We primarily came for a coffee run but a few of our team members decided to visit for breakfast the following day and from what I've heard, they're solid with the food! I look forward to coming back to give their bites a try. In theme for Saint Patrick's Day, they had a few special drinks but I opted for a traditional flat white this time. They had milk options but as a traditionalist, I went with whole milk. The coffee had great flavor and balance. The richness was bold and rounded out after every sip. I was tempted to grab a couple bags on my way out but seeing they had free shipping for online orders over $40 (about two bags), I decided to save some luggage space and order some when I was back home. The staff were friendly and efficient. I was impressed how many of them they were able to fit behind the small work area but they were experienced and worked collectively as a team. The drinks were prepared quick and for those liking them hot, you will be pleased with the freshness of that first sip. Overall, Achilles Coffee is a perfect small batch roaster to visit while you're in San Diego to get a great cup of coffee, a breakfast to go with it, and some bags of single origin or blend to bring back home for your own brew. And if you're interested in trying them out before you visit or just looking to restock, consider checking out their website and order from there. They even have a sampler to try their in-season batches. I guess their only Achilles' heel is that there aren't more of them but with five spots all across San Diego county, at least a San Diegan (or visitor) can get a taste of the sweet nectar marketed under this Greek warrior's moniker.

I decided to have brunch there but when I arrived everyone was watching a soccer game...rooting for the French Team. It was pleasant to see the owners, staff, and guests so into the game. It created a welcoming and fun atmosphere...making my French experience more authentic. Just be aware, that majority of the seating is outside with an overhead shade. I looove eating outdoors so the setting was perrrfect. When it was time to order, I went inside to place it at the counter. Not too long afterwards, my warm latte came out then my breakfast...I didn't have to wait at all. Everything was sooo yummy. C'est vraiment bon!! I can't wait to go back to try the other menu items. I highly recommend Madeleine to the Yelp Community :-)

(editing to add this is a French-owned and Black-owned business, in case folks are looking!)…read more I usually come here when I'm doing errands on Cedros - and I usually just want to get my français on and order a café crème and a croissant. But today I needed a little extra je ne sais quoi because my morning was annoying, so I decided to splurge on lunch and not just a pastry here. I asked Steve, the (très beau et gentille!) co-owner what the quiche of the day was. There were two: one with jambon (ham) and one with épinards et fromage de chèvre (spinach and goat cheese). When I hesitated, he told me that the spinach one was amazing. Even though it's $20 for a quiche plate, I decided to go for it. I thought I was going to get a sad little quiche slice for that amount and might regret it. But OMG, it was more than worth it! Already they have a lovely patio on this pretty street in this fancy design district. But it was also a HUGE and exceptionally savory rectangular slice, alongside a DELECTEABLE petite salade. I asked Steve what mustard they use in the vinaigrette, and he said plain old Dijon - but the proportions and the seasoning were EXCELLENT. So it was salad perfection, not heavily dressed at all, just delightful. The patio was full on a Friday with ladies who lunch - but did that include me, as a solo diner, since I am a lady who had lunch? I'm not sure, but you can feel comfortable here no matter what. And now I know Madeleine Cafe is much too good to just come for coffee and for ordering in French from Steve or his co-owner Emmanuel. I don't want to spend that much for lunch every day - but I'll be back!
