Parking int he area was a bit difficult to find, but that was probably to be expected for a holiday weekend (there is public parking on the street + parking lot across the street). We ended up using valet, which was only $2 and made things easier. One of my favorite parts was being able to walk right down to the beach after we finished eating and spend a little time by the water. Such a nice way to end the meal. Overall, great food, amazing views and a really enjoyable experience. Definitely a spot we'd come back to when in Del Mar.

I'm not very picky but there was no seasoning on it at all, just a plain pan sauce made from the juices of very plain chicken. It was originally plated nicely before I took the photo I included, but I had cut into it to make sure it was cooked thoroughly before I tried it since it was very thick and it was cooked fine, just not seasoned with anything that I could taste or see visually. I had to ask for salt and pepper to add to it and our waitress never came to ask how our food was once we got it, so I had to wait for someone else passing by to ask for that. It wasn't too bad to eat but just not very enjoyable so I didn't eat most of it, and when our waitress came back to finally give us our check and I declined a to-go box for it she still never asked how everything was, so we didn't complain or bring it up. For such a good location and how good the app was, I would still recommend them just maybe not that dish!

I ate here for lunch with some friends and was completely blown away! Everything from the ambiance, the view, to the food was amazing. You can tell the attention to detail when creating this new restaurant. The décor is beautiful and really makes it feel luxurious. The view of the ocean from the restaurant is captivating and I can only imagine what the view of sunset is. The staff were very attentive and all friendly. We never had to ask to have our waters or drinks filled. The food was outstanding - everything was delicious. We ordered a few appetizers to start that I can't recommend enough - the Burrata with beets was a different take on burrata than I was used to and I could have ate that as my meal. Plus it came with house made sourdough that was to die for. We also got Grilled Scallion Dip which had a beautiful presentation and the Ahi Poke. For my meal, I got the Veggie Torta and I couldn't stop raving about! Others got the L'Auberge Grilled Cheese with crab in it (which I will be getting next time!), Old School BLTA, and Grilled Baja Snapper Tacos which everyone loved. Alot of kinks that must be ironed out. Stayed at this $600 a night luxury hotel only to have found hair smeared on the bathroom walls. I gagged and their phones seems to be disconnected. As disgusted as we were, we had dinner at Adelaide. The server was upbeat and the professional. The main entree of shrimp was cooked to perfection, but unfortunatley the sorbet had stringy brunette hair. Disturbed and grossed out. It is highly recommended that all restaurant staff members and servers were hair nets instead of hair being served in desert items. Will not return. read more

Wonderful end to our July 4th holiday, with a lite dinner. Our Server was Excellent, knowledgeable of the limited menu items listed but all sounds very good as we will need to come back again for another exquisite dining experience trying other dishes... The highlight of the dish we ate this time, were the scallops, soft as butter and tasty, not over powering in flavor. The executive chef for sure thought his menu thru. The dessert was also really Delicious (Dragon Fruit Sorbet)... We shall be back and with others! :-D read more

The farm-raised British Columbia salmon ($41), was moist, with citrus-pomegranate beurre blanc sauce, with potato puree and overcooked, bland vegetables. Our favorite was the wild-caught Maine lobster ($53): two moist, tasty 4 oz lobster tails, baby Yukon gold potatoes, drawn butter, and a creamy lobster-mushroom sauce, plus crisp, fresh vegetables, unlike the other order. The excellent food and outdoor setting were diminished by bad service. We had a good view of the clock on the lifeguard tower so were aware of the time. We got menus when seated but had to track down a staff member after 15 minutes to get the wine and beverage list. It took 15 minutes to get our beverages (wines are $14 to $25 a glass; beers, $8 mostly; cocktails under $20). Our appetizer order arrived at the 30-minute mark and the entrees, close to one hour. We had to ask a bussing person to track down our waitress to order another glass of wine. We were celebrating a 21st birthday and put that on the reservation, but it wasn't acknowledged. We wanted a dessert, and the waiter from the next section was kind enough to place the order. We had to ask the bussing person to get our waitress and the check. For our main entree I partook in the Chilean Sea Bass- flaky and buttery. We ended with the Tres Leche Cake with coconut sorbet- so light and not too sweet. Our Server was so amazing- he even took pics of us during the amazing sunset.

Their child was also extremely active. Despite the challenging situation, Emigerta never lost her composure. On the contrary, she remained calm, patient, professional, and attentive throughout. They have great happy hour specials but the service was a little slow even though it wasn't that crowded when we got there.... The drinks were good, the pizza delicious and what a view. All of that definitely is deserving of 5 stars , but it's hard to overlook the slow service. It took well over 20 minutes just to get the server to close out our tab with me eventually having to go inside to look for her.

I will admit that the calamari appetizer was good. It was not outstanding as it used to be. My husband tried the Del Mar Crab Ravioli. It was fair and he would not order it again. I know that he was hungry when he finished. I ordered the crispy skinned duck. It was my favorite dish here. But this time, the skin was not crispy and the duck was dry and over cooked. So disappointing. The dishes used to be so large that we always had food to take home. Now, it doesn't taste good enough to take home and the portions are smaller. Believe it or not, this was not the first thing that happened. Because of past experience, we now order our food in stages. First we order our beverages. Then we wait a short while and order any starters. After we are done with the starters, we order our entrees. We do not want all of the food to come out of the kitchen at the same time as has happened in the past. When the bill came, I left a gift card and my credit card. When the server came back, the gift card was not fully used, but we did not get it back. I found a receipt the a little more than a dollar that was charged on my credit card. It turned out that the gift card was enough for the bill alone without charging my credit card. The gift card had a small amoutn on it, but the card itself was not returned. When I questioned it, the server told us that the bartender told her to do it this way. The whole transaction was wrong!! It is obvious to us that the people working there did not have a clue how to run the transaction. Also, there didn't seem to be anyone in charge on that night. We were extremely disappointed on many levels. At one time this was a 4-5 star restaurant. Not any more.

They have indoor and outdoor seating available and a parking lot out front with plenty of spots. The food came out relatively fast and we felt comfortable in our beach clothes as it's a pretty casual spot. Servers were friendly and attentive.
