Adam's Apple has come out twice now to my house to do small and large jobs. My house was a rent house for years before I moved back into it and the yard had been neglected, as is wont with rental homes. Then I had a very big tree split in half and narrowly miss hitting both the house and the garage. Yikes! We used this service a while back and we were pretty happy with the work and price so they were the first place we called when two large limbs fell on our roof at the beginning of a holiday weekend. He came on Saturday morning and said they would be back the next day to cut the tree and quoted us a fair price for the work. He did not call or answer the phone and did not show up again until Tuesday and then raised the price by 20%. We passed on other services that were more reasonable in the intervening days because we were counting on his original price. The work seems OK, but the bait and switch is not. read more

The owner came to my house, looked over the tree I needed cut back, gave me a more then fair bid and then I got on their schedule. These guys are always fast and efficient and I feel that when they come to my house, I have nothing to worry about. We hired Adams Apple to cut down two dying trees on our property. They were by far the most affordable (ABC estimated more than $1000 higher!). They said the job would take one day so we scheduled it. In the end, they did the job be it stretched out over three days and the workers damaged some of our property. The owner came out on a Saturday to view the damage and they began taking action immediately to repair everything. All in all, I think I would hire them again because the staff is nice and easy to contact. read more

The job was well done. They cut my large Sycamore tree and trimmed what needed to be trimmed. They came on time and finished on time. The area after the work was perfectly cleaned up. I am waiting for the stump grinding part to complete the review. My one and only oak tree was infested with ball moss to the point that small branches were dying. You never really notice how important your trees are to the aesthetics of your home until you think about losing them. How much would it cost to replace a full-sized tree? How barren and sad would your house look with no trees? I was driving home the other day, and noticed all these trees along Braker that had been trimmed and looked beautiful. I jotted down the number of the company and forgot about it. A few weeks later, I was looking out my kitchen window, and noticed my ash tree was breaking limbs and choking the life out of my live oak. We lost a tree in the backyard last year, and it was so depressing. I called Adam's and they came out the next day to give me a quote. The guy who came out, Charlie, was polite and knowledgeable, and gave me a great price. He also listened to my concerns about losing shade on my front lawn and promised to give me a high, healthy canopy. The workers came out 2 days later, and they did an amazing job. I had Adam's Apple come out the first time for a job and they did great. I was about to leave a great Yelp review and tell everyone about them. But then I asked them to come out a second time for a small job (take down a single large limb from the yard), and the experience unfortunately went downhill. Here's why: I called and asked Adam's Apple to come out and bid and work in the same trip, they said they'd be there the next day to bid and cut. They never showed up. I called they said they were still busy with "big" jobs and would come out the next day. The next day the crew showed up, quoted a price stood around looking at each other for all of 5 minutes, and then left saying they had to go to another "big" job nearby. I called thee office and who said they wouldn't be able to fit me in until Saturday even after promising yesterday and then again on this day, they weren't apologetic about missing two scheduled appointments at all. I did some Yelping and called other tree service, Joe's Tree Care. He came out 30 minutes after I called him (just got done with another job), did the work in super fast, and charged less than Adam's estimated - even doing a little extra cutting of old stumps for free! I gave Adam's a chance, but I wasn't a big enough so I'm going with Joe's for all my household tree service from now on. Plus Joe looks like Erik Estrada, and having Ponch trimming your trees is kinda neat. read more

I have been using them for several years. I called them as I do every year for the yearly maintenance. However I was informed after scheduling them that they would not be available. It seems that now they are too busy to do yearly maintenance. I was informed they havent done this service for the past several years. However, this is the first year that they did not come out when I scheduled them. They are obviously too big and unorganized. Ignorant At the moment, Adam's Apple Tree Service is lifting limbs to make way for street work. They are breaking branches instead of cutting them, and in other places leaving 2" cut oak limbs without spraying the cuts. This is on oak trees in a neighborhood ridden with oak wilt. I'm disappointed the city of Rollingwood does not use a better service. My attempts to discuss this with the tree work supervisor were waved off. read more

I have a background in landscaping and tree care and know a lot about trees. I can tell you from experience, the work these guys do is great. I have a huge ash that was grown way over to one side and was afraid it was going to fall on my neighbors house, car, kids or myself at any time. Don't you just love it when you get that little something extra? When it comes to trees, there ain't no such thing as little. The limbs are big, the leaves weigh a ton, they are always soooo high up there and you worry you are going to do damage to a neighbor's property. I called Adam's Apple after reading the reviews here on Yelp and they were spot on. Everyone from the administrative staff manning the phones to the estimator to the actual crew that comes out were so friendly and professional. We had a 30 foot tall Hackberry tree and it's trunk was splitting. Both parts of the tree were 30 feet tall. The only reason the split off part hadn't fallen on my neighbor's fence was because the canopy of other trees was holding it up. But every time the wind would blow, it made an awful creaking sound. We also had a tall Hackberry that had limbs that were diseased. Adam's Apple quoted us a fabulous price to take the split Hackberry down to the fence line and to trim off all the dead and dying limbs on the other Hackberry. They sealed the cuts too. Fabulous I tell you! Not only did they do the contracted work, but they also trimmed back three other trees that were encroaching on the roof line. That's what I call customer service! They cleaned up really well and used a trailer to haul it all off. Best of all, I didn't sweat once while they did it! I know, I know...I sound like a commercial. I won't have to think twice about who to call the next time I need trees trimmed or cut down. These professionals are going to be my first choice every time. read more

The crew came out pruned a large tree in our front yard. They are like tree artists! They got rid of the unwanted dead limbs and really doctored up the tree. They did a few different things for us and overall, the service was efficient and professional. They took away what they cut down and left a picture-prefect result. I highly recommend them.
