Contacted them, talked to new owner, Mike, came out to give a quote the next day. Made arrangements for the team to come out on Saturday, got here promptly on time. We went over the work needed (trees in front, one in back, some neighbor branches over the roof, etc.). The team thinned out all the dead bracken, gave the canopy room to expand. They painted the cuts on all the trees, ours and the neighbors', then got to the cleanup. Did a super job chipping all the branches and bracken (a VERY full truck full of chips & logs), sweeping up after themselves. Great team, great job! We can see the front of the house again! I called yesterday afternoon specifically about a dead tree in my backyard where a branch had fallen off because of wind. They were out same day for an estimate on that tree and a few other trimming services. They came back THE NEXT MORNING, right on time, to complete the job with a crew of four. I miss the original owner. He sold the business to two young guys, one of whom I met. The estimate was on the high side with a minimum of discussion. Some of their information didn't mesh with what arborists had told me. If I were starting out with an established company, I would think excellent work for good value would be a way to go; these guys wanted top dollar with no assurance of top quality work. We've lived here about 14 years and, outside of spot trimming to keep my roof clear, they have not be seriously trimmed. This year the ice And snow got part of the Bradford pear, so I decided to have both Bradford pears taken down and the stumps ground down. The team was awesome again this year. Just like other reviews below, mine gets a BIG thumbs down once again! Horrible service! We loved the original owner, Nick. He was the only one who had ever trimmed our trees over the time span of about 25 years. HE, Nick would come back and trim whatever you asked until you were a satisfied customer. NOT MIKE! I should have gone with my first impression of Mike, the new owner when I met him. He lacks relational personal skills, and was callus and arrogant from the get go. We referred him to our neighbors who hired him to trim their trees yesterday so he got that business from our referral. NEVER AGAIN! I've shared our experience with the rest of our coldesac as we keep each other up on companies and services we use for property work. He was supposed to trim some more of our trees as I was not satisfied with the job. He had already given me verbal approval as well as in text. We also have video footage of the work he did as well as the conversation yesterday outside. He walked away from me while I was talking to him and showing him what I wanted trimmed. He said,"well that's going to take us 45 min or so".....to which I said, "that's not my problem. You've cashed my $1100 check and the work is not finished. I'm not happy with the trimming and would like more work done." That's when he walked away from me, out of my yard and shut my gate. He never came back over from the neighbors to trim any trees which he said he would. This is poor customer service. I was nice talking to him but firm requesting multiple times, and asking the same question multiple times that he couldn't/wouldn't answer. I wanted branches cut down that were LOWER than where they trimmed, and when I asked him how they got up that high, he refused to answer the question. I reminded him I saw one of his workers with a pulley system and rope so I knew it was possible for them to cut that high. It's very disappointing and sad at the same time. I also wanted more cut away from our fence line as well as the side of our house. I keep reminding myself, you can't treat people this way and it eventually not catch up with you. We will never use Mike again for any of his services nor will I ever recommend him again to anyone else. Come back NICK! I'd rather pay a bit more for a service with excellent customer care than less for a poor job. Your character follows you wherever you go. I'm sad for Nick who originally owned the business and built a great reputation for himself and the company and its come down to this. read more

I have had the great opportunity of using the company 2 times since my trees tend to grow fast. The team always shows up on time and ready to work whether it is for a free estimate or to perform the work that they promised. On both occasions they pruned and cleaned up my Crepe Myrtles for great seasonal growth and they trimmed my Live Oaks so well that I could not even notice that they were missing the limbs they removed. When they trimmed the limbs they even took the professional time to paint over the knobs so that there would not be abnormal growth in the future. After the job and work was done they efficiently cleaned up EVERYTHING and mulched what was needed. It was just as clean as before (if not cleaner) and safe for my kids to play. Trees R Us has continually provided exceptional service, estimates, and information on the best ways to have proactive growth, proper health of my trees, and proper shade for my area. Had a tight timeline because I was going out of town, and one of my trees was hitting my garage - also had a dead tree I had been putting off getting rid of. Called up a couple different tree services and tried to get squeezed in. Nick at Trees R Us was fast and had the best price. Got a free estimate and he even recommended some work on an additional tree. Even with the extra work, his quote was the best! Nick and his crew showed up as schedule and got the work done quickly.
