Fast, professional, friendly, super responsible about returning calls, keeping appointments, went out of their way and replaced the fence panel that had to be taken down in order to remove our dead tree, left us a nice stack of cut firewood, AND they were by far the least expensive (we got four quotes this time). Yesterday, Nick's team of guys came out to trim two large trees in our front yard. Right as they arrived, a full thunderstorm rolled in. They waited out the rain for it to lighten up, and still followed through with the appointment. I let them know it was completely ok to come another day since the storm would start and stop, but they decided to complete the job that day. They were polite, professional, and thorough. Mike and his guys were great! I called him and he came out that same afternoon to give us a quote and scheduled us for a week later. Even though I think this was a small job for them (just trimming a few tree branches) he made us feel important and well taken care of. Communication was great both before and after, I even stepped out to ask a question while they were working and Mike greeted me right away. They were quick and efficient and cleaned everything up afterwards, even blowing all the leaves, etc off our driveway and walkway. First off, not only are Nick, Perrin, and the rest of the crew personable, friendly guys, they also do a great job! They made quick work of my yard, which included trash tree removals (one hackberry had spiraled around one of our live oaks), stump grinding, dead branch safety pruning, and canopy lifting. It looks like a different house now.. and a clean one at that, as they completely cleaned up afterward! Nick suggested removing some small stumps that I hadn't even considered addressing (thank goodness, because I have tripped over them multiple times). I was needing my trees trimmed in my new home as the current trees were hanging over the house and getting the roof all wet. Mike came out and gave me an estimate which was a good deal. I picked them out of 8 other tree trimmers. I also asked him for proof of insurance, which he provided so I felt good about going with them. They came out on the day they said they would and kept in contact, letting me know when they were finished and sent me pictures. He was also willing to cut up the limbs into firewood and put them on a pallet that I placed out in the backyard. I had 2 trees planted in our front yard during the summer of 2016. After we had the outer bands of tropical storm Harvey blow through here those trees were noticeably leaning. I found Trees R Us through Yelp and the owner came over right after I called. The price was fair and several days later 2 men came, dug carefully around the trees, straightened them up, put more dirt around base of the trees, cleaned up and did an excellent job. Absolutely outstanding work! If someone can make my wife happy then that is as good as it gets :-) The crew did an awesome job of trimming the trees, especially so that the branches were not close to the house anymore, removing dead branches, clearing up mistletoe, and all that comes with a complete tree trimming job. But they also left the front and backyard really nice and clean, removing any twigs, branches, and even excess leaves. And all for a competitively very reasonable price. I must say that in this space there seem to be a number of highly rated service providers and they were all relatively competitive. So, it was a hard decision to make. But I was happy making a decision to go with Trees R Us, however corny that name :-) read more
