I was totally impressed that Mike came out in person to give me a estimate the day after I called him about my repair and that he and his son were here the next day after that to do the work. They were right on time, did the work quickly and professionally and charged me what I thought was a very fair price, I will definitely call ACW Construction again if I need them. read more

I just had Mike and Saul over at my home to build an outdoor tool shed for me. I have to say that these guys do great work and on time. I'm very happy with the work that they done and for a very reasonable price. I will be using their services in the future for my upcoming projects. Mike responded back and kept in touch with me throughout the whole project. I like the fact that I didn't have to worry about their workmanship and was able to go on with my day without having to over see the project. BTW I'm a contractor myself so I'm very familiar with the process of the work. I would give Mike and his company more stars if I could for their hard work and dedication. read more

My husband and I just purchased a home that needed to be brought into this century and while searching for a contractor I came across this company on yelp. Mike was very quick to reach out to me and come for an estimate which I have to say is a positive compared to other contractors we reached out to. After meeting my husband to discuss the extensive work we wanted to do (full bath remodel, new floors, kitchen, stairs, paint) he stated he'd give us an estimate within 2 days. While he didn't get us the estimate in that time frame he was pretty quick to get it to us. Here is why I cannot give him the 5 stars we were expecting from him though: He emailed my husband a breakdown of some of the work we requested with one total $$ at the bottom. He also forgot to include the kitchen, our biggest ticket item, in this bid. My husband emailed him back asking if he could itemize the quote by each project (example: cost for kitchen, cost for bath, cost for floor) as all of the other contractors had done. As soon as Mike received this request, he stated he could no longer do our project as a bigger project had come up. I find it a bit suspicious that as soon as we asked for clarification on where he came up with the amount quoted for, which seemed really high considering it did not include any materials or the kitchen, he backed out on his bid. Overall mike was quick in his response which is why I'm not giving him 1 star, but the fact that he didn't want to be transparent on costs makes me feel like this is not a trust worthy business read more

ACW Construction did an excellent job for us! We have a very old home and Mike's company did our remodel, which included enlarging the kitchen and adding square footage. His team was prompt, qualified, and kept the area clean of debris. They made my house look like brand new. I can't recommend this company enough for your project. They are real professionals. Thumbs up!! read more

I wanted to remodel my 3 car garage, mainly because there were 2 vertical posts separating the parking spaces. It was possible to park my car, but if I didn't have a moonroof, I couldn't get out of the car because It was impossible to open my car doors. I had a few contractors out to take a look. My idea was to remove the 2 vertical posts and replace it with a horizontal beam to make the garage a wide open space with no obstructions. I was told that it couldn't be done because of the length of my garage. I knew right away they were full of crap. A neighbor of mine recommended Mike Wagner at ACW to take a look. Mike and a structural engineer came out and told me that it was no problem to do what I wanted to accomplish. Always cautious, I mentioned more than once that I didn't want my upstairs bedroom to suddenly become a downstairs bedroom if the beam didn't hold. They reassured me that that wouldn't happen and we discussed how the beam would be reinforced. Long story short ... after the beam was put in, drywall replaced, epoxy flooring installed, hot water heater replaced with a tankless unit and other changes to my garage to make it not only look nice, but be a space that I could utilize ... the cost was nearly half of what the other contractors wanted to charge for NOT doing what I wanted and what COULD be done. There were also other minor issues that I had ACW take care of to completely "dial in" my house because they did such a tremendous job with the major construction. On a side note, Mike and his staff are very personable and knowledgeable. So much that I kept finding things for them to do around my house. All in all, in the 17 years of living in this house and the numerous contractors who have come and gone, I finally found a contractor that I would definitely hire again. Unfortunately, I have nothing left for them to do. My only regret is that I wish I had hired them years ago. read more

Amazing job!!! Need I say more, ACW Construction did such craftsmanship work, paying such attention to detail made all the difference. They put up a large and small wall, three heavy duty doors with door frames, lots of electrical work. The materials they used where of high quality. It feels like a new garage! Did I mention that starting from the initial appointment, Mike was on time, and all the work days his crew was punctual and never missed a day. I also wanted to give a special thanks to his worker Saul who did an outstanding job with such great customer service! The job was also finished on time as planned. My husband and I are SUPER HAPPY and could not have asked for a better company to do business with!!!! read more

These guys absolutely delighted me in every aspect!! Such attention to detail and beautiful workmanship!! I highly recommend them! read more

We recently had Mike Wagner of ACW Construction to a remodeling job for us! We could not have been happier! Mike and Crew were always here on time, worked hard and did an excellent job of demolition, prepping, painting, trim, installation of lighting, and even helped us hang a large piece of artwork. Mike and crew worked in a professional manner and each person was an expert in his field. I would call ACW with any kind of work I need done in the future. Kudos to ACW!!! read more

Mike and Saul worked on our garage and all I can say is that they are awesome! Mike was prompt as my whole garage was about to fall down and he had the supplies ordered right away and was working as soon as it got in. I'm impressed that he was there bright and early and stayed throughout while Saul and the crew worked hard because some of the contractors we've worked with in the past only come for the estimate and send out their crew without seeing them again so I was really appreciative of that. Would definitely recommend these guys and will be using them again for any of our future needs! read more

We needed a beam & rafters replaced at front entrance overhang, Mike came to bid the job, & we hired him. He came recommended though a painting contractor. My husband liked him right off the bat. Very professional & friendly , was able to start the job right away within the week. He finished the project today, he was on time, tidy & did an awesome job. Will use Mike again if needed. Don't hesitate to call ACW construction. read more

Mike has always performed to high standards on all the projects he did for me over the years. The most recent one he had the custom counter tops made and installed them professionally and on time. read more

Mike and his team came to our business for a repair job I needed done immediately. Mike came by right away and looked at the job for us. He gave me a very good price and told me he could complete the job on Wednesday at 2pm. He and his team walked in Wednesday at 2pm sharp to work. Punctuality is huge for me and it's rare among "construction guys". They were extremely professional and completed the job in a timely manner. Mike and his team are definitely not "construction guys", Mike is running a professional business and I truly appreciate his professionalism. Not only were they right on time but they completed the job quickly and professionally. The job was done perfectly just as described. I truly was completely satisfied when he was finished. Then, they all start cleaning up like I have never seen a construction company do, ever! Our business was cleaner when they left then when they arrived. 5+ stars for Mike and ACW Construction. I highly recommend them for anyone in need of any type of construction work. I would hire him again in a heart beat! I will be sending anyone who asks me for a recommendation to Mike. read more

After looking at many positive Yelp reviews for ACW Construction with Mike Wagner, we chose ACW for our master bedroom and bath remodel. This also involved making a walk-in closet and re-configuring an existing add-on room to become part of the master. He estimated 6-8 weeks. It took only 4 weeks. He had people working every day and the two days that were quiet, he let us know ahead. The workers were respectful, efficient, cleaned up thoroughly every day, and did a great job. The price was very reasonable and the job came in exactly on budget. We highly recommend Mike and his company. read more

RUDE!!! my husband just met with a guy from ACW, he was talking to an a/c contractor and asked ACW's guy to wait 5 mins, guy said "the sooner the better". he barely stayed 3 minutes and left. what kind of company is this crap?? read more

Mike is VERY knowledgeable and I appreciate that he's direct. He's very clear about what each project involves and takes the time to educate you, so you can make an informed decision. I trust him! He's not a salesman. He's a solid professional that I would work with! read more

Mike and his team recently framed a large wood patio cover for us. The permitted plans we provided were complicated, but his team worked through the details and the overall end result was excellent. Mike provided transparent and fair pricing and was very responsive in resolving issues that arose and in making sure the project was completed timely. read more

Mike and his team are technically sound. Able to handle a lot of complex work. His communication makes working with him very easy. Timeline is always reliable. Work results are great. I will use his services again in the future. read more

Mike & his crew are amazing! They are ALWAYS on time if not early and best of all- they finish the job ON TIME if not early. They're fast, hard working and definitely knows what they're doing to make all my crazy ideas work. They always clean after themselves too. This is the second remodel they're doing on my house currently and I'm looking forward to continue to use ACW in the near future. read more

I truly do not have enough great things to say about Mike and his crew. He was timely in getting back to me, had a crew available literally the next day for the job, came in and removed a pony wall in our living room and patched the wall and floor in 6 hours. So awesome!! read more

I can't say enough great things about Mike and his crew. We needed some updates in all 3 of our bathrooms and with a baby on the way, our timeline was very short. I reached out to several contractors and Mike from ACW was very quick to respond and quote. He was very responsive with all of my questions and we quickly got a date set. He got started on my job in less than a week and while he quoted me 3 days, he got it done faster than that. His crew was very friendly and professional and as I start to think about additional updates down the line, I would use Mike and ACW again without hesitation. Mike/ACW team - Thank you for being so responsive and thank you for getting the work done so quickly and timely. We love our bathrooms and I would definitely be reaching out again. read more

This review is based on the overall work provided by Mike and his team. Nice enough guy, responsive communication, and punctual. Scope of work included removing three walls, an entry partition, and laundry room framing. Price originally quoted was for two full days of work by this team, including removal of all trash and cleanup upon job completion. The scope of work was completed as specified. The problem lies with in the cost and the cleanup. The team finished the job in less than a day, and proper cleanup wasn't performed upon job completion. The end result left us feeling taken advantage of financially. Due to the nature of the move in we were in a position to move forward quickly with vendors, but after completion I obtained additional quotes from multiple comparable contractors whom all came in substantially lower than what we paid this team. As with most other people reading this review whom are seeking professional contractors, we are not experts in this given field. When factoring in the scope of work, hours completed, materials, and crew size, we ended up paying comparable rates charged by PHD specialists. We take full responsibility for not doing more research and vetting. Expensive lesson learned. read more

These guys did an excellent job. Also they were on time and on budget. I would highly recommend them.

Mike with ACW did a great job with our remodel projects. Everything from flooring to windows. He and his crew were always prompt, completed the jobs on time as he said he would, didn't nickel and dime us for extras, he just did great work at a fair price and I would highly recommend him. read more

Mike came by for a quote. But it took a while and his reply and correspondence was slow. In the end, he overpriced for the work and what's worse is he included having to get a permit when there is no restructuring to be done. Nice try. I swooped out of this one! read more

I discovered a major structural problem with my home, so bad the 2nd story could have become a new 1st story at any time. I called in every friend in the industry I knew and 3 contractors came to take a look. Two of them laughed, shook their heads, and walked away. The third looked frightened and never called me back. I don't remember how I came across Mike, but he showed up and was the only guy to come up with a plan on the spot that didn't include ripping down the entire side of my house like the frightened contractor stated would have to happen. I immediately hired him, and he showed up a few days later with his crew, equipment, and quality materials. By the end of the first day, my home was safe and sound again, far better than the original construction. Mike and his crew are the nicest and most professional contractors I've met and worked with, and I've hired several over the years. He didn't try to oversell anything, he's honest, and based on what I experienced with the other contractors, he's far more knowledgeable. I will hire him only for all of my future projects. read more

Mike Wagner, the owner, was great to work with. He was very accommodating, always on time, and cleaned up the worksite everyday. I can't say enough good things about working with him on the project he did for my mom's house. read more

Don't mess around! We had some serious rot in our redwood deck. I had a couple of other contractors come out and bid the job. I felt like everyone was trying to take advantage of me. I know nothing about decking, materials, screws wood treatment, etc. etc. Mike came out and gave me an honest bid for top quality work. I had no idea how great the job would turn out. My husband and I wish we could've referred Mike to our neighbors. Yikes! Woodwork is not something to take lightly, and we are so glad we found Mike and ACW construction. read more

So we had this horrible looking 80's kitchen with a low hanging soffit that just had to go. We talked to the realtor who sold us the house and she referred us to Mike pretty quickly. He came out, took a look and wrote us up a quote that we accepted and then scheduled him to come back. We slept in that day because, you know..... contractors are never on time right? Well that was a mistake. At 7AM Mike and his crew were in our driveway waiting on us..... ooooops. Fast forward a few hours and the demo was done and problems were surfacing. A few phone calls and electricians and plumbers were on the job. A few hours later and the wife and I were looking at the progress and going..... 'it sure would be nice if you also did......' Four change requests later we got it all dialed in. What started out in the kitchen had spread into the family room and part of the dining room. Now - I am not going to sit and say everything was perfect - there were a few mistakes made by the crew here and there but it took nothing to get Mike to come back out and fix them. Since they completed the work at the house, we've had Mike and one of his workers come back a few times to help with some odds and ends that were out of our reach. We are planning on doing a major bathroom remodel next year and we will only be making one call. We know Mike is the guy, so no point in going somewhere else. read more

ACW Construction is top notch! I had Mike come out and build me a few patio covers for my my home in placentia. Mike and his crew are profesional on the front and back end of their business. Mike and his crew where clean after each day and the finished result was exactly what i wanted, and what he proposed to me. I just want to say thanks Mike for the fantstic work! read more

Mike was able to come out at the last minute to fix some things around the house that were desperately needed. Even better, he was the first appointment I've had in the last 5 years that actually showed up on time. Life is easier with ACW construction. ACW construction=FAST service, high QUALITY, great COMMUNICATION!! Need to drill a 3.5 inches hole on the exterior wall, found different people to drill the hole, but confused and problem not solved. When Mike is here, only 15 minutes, problem solved!! What a great man he is! He explained the situation simply and used the language that customer could understand. I would highly suggest his team to you ALL. If you are looking for remodeling or construction related work, they are the professional team you should choose, especially they are experienced in doing it. Had an emergency in my garage when I climbed up into my enclosed rafters and noticed the main beam was cracked and my drywall sagging. It appeared it could collapse at any time. My brother recommended Mike at ACW and he came the next afternoon. Even replaced my old T-8 light bulbs with new LED ballast n bulbs...great quality for a fair price. read more

We contracted Mike Wagner on two major remodels in the Laguna Woods senior living community. He came in on budget and met difficult timelines. He navigated through the challenging approval process of the "homeowners association" and kept a friendly smile through it all. He came up with innovative solutions to several challenges we had with early 70's construction, and provided valuable references for sourcing materials. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would use Mike again on future projects. read more

I would highly recommend ACW to anyone I know. Mike arrived right on time for the scheduled flooring repair estimate, and emailed me the quote that evening. He never tried to sell me up on more work than what I was looking for, and answered all my questions. Mike, and his crew showed up 15-30 minutes before the scheduled time on the day of repair, and started to stage/prep the materials/tools just outside the front door (nice to see). I was surprised to see the crew actually cleaning the work area as they were progressing throughout the day, not just creating a mountain of rubbish, for dumping at the end of the job. Very professional, and neat in all their work. We will definitely use them again in the future. read more

These guys do top notch work and have great customer service as well. Mike always texted me back or returned my calls promptly. Couldn't believe his price compared to others. I thought at first that the job was not going to be 5 star type workmanship because of his price. Boy was I wrong. Everything he said that was going to be done was done and he didn't find anything to try and upcharge the final cost of my project. I had them install a load bearing beam and take a wall out of my 2.5 car garage to open it up completely. Mike gave me a quote and began work two days later. Job took one day and they left the site cleaner then it was to begin with. Wish I could have found ACW Construction sooner. Im already enjoying my huge open concept garage. Great work, Great Service, Great Price. Thanks ! I will no doubt be using ACW services again in the future when needed and spread word to my family and friends. read more
