An hour and a half wait is ridiculous. You must be over booking your patients. I can understand a15 minute wait,​ but 1.5 hours tells me you don't care about your patients. You have a bad reputation in the industry. I saw my optometrist last week, and i mentioned that I go to Acuity for my Wet AMD injection and he said, "Why are you going to that dump? Not too happy with the front office check in when you arrive for your appointment, they are slow and some of the office staff is rude and not very helpful but some are helpful and accomodating for getting seen by a Dr. and some waits are long and some short when waiting to be seen by a Dr. I am very satisfied with Dr. V. Malek; she is kind, very gentle and explains everything about your diagnosis. On the next visit I was changed to another Dr, Dr. Michael Ward and he also was very nice and thorough with diagnosis of my cataracts. I do enjoy going to Acuity Eye Group for my eye care and would recommend I only took off one star as I was not happy with some front office staff. read more

While they good doctors, the office visits are terrible. They only have group sign in's. They are never on time or even close to it. An hour late if you're lucky. They just don't care about their patients at office visits. read more

The Doctors are great . When I went to to get my glasses the wait was over about two hours. I was handed my glasses with no case, nor cleaner towels. They didn't even have me sit to see if the glasses fit right or anything. They just handed me a pair of glasses with nothing, and sent me out the door. I haven't wore my glasses yet, because I'm afraid of them getting scared due to me not having a case. I don't even know if they fit right . This sucks . read more

I only had to wait 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. Once I got in for my appointment they rushed me around ( I am a above the knee amputee) so I was in a wheelchair. They really didn't tell me what each eye test was for or what the test was going to entail. After the whole process was completed they told me that they would get back to me with the results by the end of day or the next day, I haven't heard from them yet. Did I just waste my time going here? I'll soon find out. read more

Do not go here! I copied this from the review I left on Google: Initial review: This was the most bizarre eye exam ever. I filled out my new patient paperwork ahead of time and brought it with me, still showing up 25 minutes early. I wanted to get in and out fast - I needed to get back to work. Somehow I still didn't get called back until 20 minutes after my appointment time. I was shuffled around from room to room, waiting room to waiting room, machine to machine for a while before finally meeting with the Dr via video. Weird, but not an issue for me. She was great and thorough. Then back to the first waiting room to wait to pick out glasses. I've been to a million eye exams in my life - never has it taken 3 HOURS to get an exam and pick glasses. Yes, I was there for 3 hours! It felt like an alternate universe. In one waiting room, someone called my name from idk where and I had to wander around trying to figure out who called me. They couldn't be bothered to pop their head out of the room, I guess. They also had my insurance wrong (and blamed me for it though it was their error) and they made it really clear that they don't like dealing with my insurance (MES). The staff and the Dr were (mostly) all very, very nice. That's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. I still won't be back. Pure insanity. UPDATE: Dropping this down to one star as they've taken my money, my insurance doesn't seem to have been billed, and I can't get ahold of anyone to find out if my glasses are in. Not even sure they were ordered at this point. Optical doesn't answer and you can't leave a message because the mailbox is full. Cannot express enough how much I wish I had gone elsewhere. UPDATE #2 - Got tired of trying to get through to optical so I spoke with someone at the front desk - she was very nice and went to optical to check the status of my order. Was told that, because of my insurance, they had to send my order again, but don't worry - it's being expedited. Should have them in about 2 weeks. Take from that what you will - it's already been 3 weeks. I suspect my glasses just weren't ordered. Don't go to this place. Notice they only respond to positive reviews? They have nothing to say about the many awful experiences detailed in these reviews. Update 3. It's been almost 6 weeks. No glasses. Called the office and left a message. They called me back! I was told she was going to put me on hold, walk over to Optical, and have them pick up the call. After several minutes, I was transferred. No warning. And guess what? No answer. Called and left another message. We'll see. YET ANOTHER UPDATE: They never called me back. Contacted my insurance company to get the claim status since I can't get any info from the office. I received this message: "Thank you for reaching out. This claim is on hold for more information from the provider's office. The claim they submitted has a conflict in the information they provided. Our team has sent them a request to clarify and the claim will be able to continue processing once they respond." My appointment was 5/31. It's now 7/10 and I'm not getting my glasses anytime soon. FINAL UPDATE: Its 7/14 and today, after only being disconnected once, I finally got to speak to Nichole in optical and I asked for a refund and for my prescription. She was kind and seemingly sincere in her apology, though I got no explanation for any of this craziness. To be fair, I didn't even bother to ask for one. She refunded me right away and sent me my prescription and PD and another sincere apology. Glad this is over. read more

In at 8:00am and the receptionist was horrible! She yelled, and I do mean yelled at the first 3 clients. Unacceptable behavior for anyone to have to endure. However, they did relieve her of her duties and thankfully put someone else in. I was told, "we" have to understand that because of COVID, she may be suffering some loss.. REALLY? Moved to the area. Was a patient in their San diego area.. loved it there. This one not so much . The wait to get glasses ordered is way to long as they only have 2 people working to help everyone who needs to get glasses ordered. Then the selection available for medical patients is very limited as compared to san diego. So I'm having to go elsewhere to get glasses. The other thing I didn't like is not seeing the doctor in person but on the TV. She was nice and professional but it just seems so isolating. Like how can I form a relationship with a doctor who isn't present in person. Just saying that didn't work for me very well.. rest of the staff is very friendly.. and I got in and out fast even with a packed waiting room. read more

I am using eye doctors and optical technicians here for years mostly with satisfaction. For the first time, I tried to use their eyeglasses shop within the practice. I signed in and waited for about one hour. Still two customers in front of me. I asked the optician to keep me signed in, I am just doing a few errands and returning soon. My glasses were delivered to me in June, 2023. I returned them after a few days. The prescription was incorrect. I was remeasured, picked out another frame (the first one was too heavy). I started calling after 3 weeks asking when my glasses would be ready. It is now October 5th and after over 20 calls to speak to someone the optometrist office told me that the lab lost the paperwork. It is incredible that in all this time nobody realized that the paperwork was missing. Very poor customer service repeated time after time. If you try to connect with the optical department the call goes to a recording instructing you to leave a number Surprise (NOT) the mailbox is full. This is always the case. Check in window was very slow. I needed to update my insurance and was told that when I am called up to the window I would give new insurance information. 50 minutes later I was called to the back for examination, I had to remind staff that I needed to update my insurance, this caused another delay but, the employee at the back window expedited my request in a timely manner and as she noted the mistake made by check in window employee/s. Once I received my examination I was impressed with the technician, professional service and finished my exam in a timely manner. read more

The most comprehensive eye exam I have ever had. I was called for my appointment on time. They explained everything they were doing. The variety of tests that they performed was amazing. Equipment I had never seen before was explained simply so that I understood why it was being used. When I went for glasses, the young man asked me if i wanted to use my frames instead of buying another frame. That has never happened before. That saved me a lot of money. My husband has been going there for years and my optometrist retired so I was looking for another eye care provider. I have found the one I will continue to use. read more
