This is a cute and cozy spot south of puerto nuevo. It is right in the coast, with outdoor seating so close to the ocean, you can feel the mist from the big waves hitting the rocks during high tide. The servers where very nice and attentive. The cocktails tasty, and the food was delicious. Shrimp pasta was flavorful and the tacos just as good. I will return her for the ambiance and drinks alone. Good food is just that extra kicker that makes this place worth it.

They appeared to be operating separately, but we chose the newer restaurant. It was a Saturday night and there was a band playing. We sat in the bar past the entertainment, which was good because we were not overwhelmed with sitting right next to a live band and speakers. We were able to talk and enjoy your evening. They sat us next to a window and the view was five stars + . It was absolutely beautiful to hear the ocean and see the sunset. I ordered a pepino margarita and it was delicious. We ordered fried oysters ( had never had these before) and a ceviche for appetizers. Both appetizers were well done and tasted good. My main entrée was the seafood soup/caldo de mariscos. The broth had a little kick to it and there was a large assortment of the seafood. It was really good and I would order it again. There was a LARGE crab leg and a portion of lobster as well. I was really impressed with the crab leg. I have never had that much meat from a crab leg. It was delicious . We also ordered a fish dish, which was recommended by the waiter. It was good and the fish (curvina) was excellent, not overcooked or undercooked. The only setback on the fish dish was the mashed potatoes. They seemed a little cold when the dish came out. The only other setback were the corn tortillas. Somehow they didn't hit the mark on freshness and taste. We travel a lot to various restaurants in the region and most of the time the tortillas are freshly made. We do have a high standard when it comes to homemade tortillas. These tortillas did not impress. The dessert- chocolate cake. Stater Bros. or CaliMax would have been better. No rating for the dessert The waiter was attentive and provided space which I like. He made sure we had everything we needed. Visit Splash and post your experience

We didn't order any food except for alcoholic drinks. We did order the cheesecake and it was tasty. I ordered a mai tai and it was good too. This restaurant has 5 floors! The first floor is a little type chapel. The 2nd floor is more quaint and closer to the ocean. The 3rd floor is the main floor with a band playing. No elevators. Lots of stairs. This whole area is nicely decorated. I would definitely recommend.

The building itself is beautiful! kind of castle-like architecture perched right on the coast, and the ocean views are absolutely stunning. I only had a drink here, so I can't speak much to the food firsthand, but I did read quite a few reviews beforehand and noticed a pretty consistent theme: people seem to love the views and atmosphere, but the food is often described as underwhelming. That was part of the reason we kept it simple and just stopped in for a drink break. For me, it worked perfectly as a scenic pause on the drive -- grab a drink, take in the coastline, stretch your legs, and enjoy the view. If you're expecting a full standout culinary experience, it might not be the place. But if you treat it as a beautiful roadside stop with incredible scenery, it definitely delivers. Worth it for the views alone, just manage expectations on the dining side.
