Las Brias is amazing. If you're looking for tasty food, friendly staff and service, and a welcoming atmosphere, look no further. We had the garlic shrimp and Diablo shrimp plates, and an outstanding piña colada. The plates came with rice, beans and tortillas on the side and they were great as well. I judge any Mexican food establishment back home by their beans and Las Brisas were some of my favorites. They make their tortillas in house and we had plenty of food to take back for later. Our server Mario was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable and ensured we will be back again when we are near Puerto Nuevo. Couldn't leave Rosarito without having a lobster. Luckily, this location was located close to my hotel. I was with a party of six and decided to sit at the top floor since it's been very hot. our waiter was Mario. Unfortunately, he was not attentive at all! We had to go look for him to place an order which was very annoying. Or we had to ask other waiters on ordering drinks and our entrees and they had to look for Mario as well. We ordered two dozens of oysters and we all ordered lobsters. The oysters were very fresh and tasted very good! We all got a large size of lobster. I really dont think it's worth ordering an XL lobster but that's my opinion. The lobster was cooked and seasoned well. I do wish the butter had bits of garlic or maybe mix the butter well before pouring it to a serving container. I did order a loaded shrimp cocktail which Mario forgot to place the order for me. It was very annoying because I had to reach out to him and remind him of my cocktail. Eventually I did get it and it was delicious and refreshing with the hot weather. Again, we had to track him down for the bill. Mario broke down the bill for me and said the method of payment can include a tip or tip separately. I told him there will be no tip. Of course he got offended and I reminded him of his service quality and failure to be attentive to us. He stated the restaurant was busy which was not true because for three floors it was about 25% full, if that. I continued to go with the host to pay and bypass him. I was tired of arguing with him about hit service and not tip. I would recommend this place to visitors and would return just make sure you dont have the same waiter I did. read more

First time to Puerto Nuevo. So many restaurants, this one wasn't packed but reviews were amazing so this is where we landed! Yelp did it again, the food was exceptional!! The best mariscada I've ever had!! There were 6 of us, we ordered the #3 for 5 people, it fed us all and we came home with extra lobster and shrimp. I have visited Puerto Nuevo several times for their lobster and have gone to several different restaurants and this is my favorite that I keep coming back to. The service is amazing! The waiters are so friendly and attentive. They start off by bringing their caldo de mariscos which is so good. We got three large lobster halves for $30 USD. This is the same price we got at another place the same week but for a medium sized lobster. I like the fact that they asked us if we wanted the lobster deep fried or grilled. We chose the grilled because that's our preference. I'm not sure if other places also do this but I haven't been asked before. We sat at the very top level of the restaurant which gives you a view to the ocean. It was close to closing time so we had the place to ourselves. It was like a private romantic dinner. Although there's nothing romantic about eating a lobster and getting it all, lol! There was a review that said they didn't take cards so we were worried that would be the case, but after talking to our waiter he explained they had a day a couple of months ago when their system was down and apparently they got some reviews complaining about this. Great place for all seafood lovers! Get one of their combos if you just want to get absolutely bombarded with a variety of seafood. Their menu has both Spanish and English, as well as prices in both pesos and USD. Their staff was pretty proficient in English as well. Chips with salsa and pico de gallo are given as an appetizer. Their pico de gallo had jalapeno chunks and was SPICY but super addicting! Rice and beans are also given on the side as well as fresh tortillas which were delicious with the combo. LAS BRISAS COMBO #2: Comes with lobster, shrimp, whole fish, and crab with a small bed of salad. The menu says it's good for 4 people but you can probably stretch that to 5 or 6 people if you aren't too hungry or if you all have smaller appetites in general, especially since you have the chips and sides too. The lobsters were split in half so it was easy to pull the meat out in one go. The crab pieces were just claws and took a bit more work with the cracker, but most of them already had some cracks in them which made things a lot quicker. This says it can feed 4 people, but we split it amongst 5 and it was a good amount of food. You're also given Tortillas, Rice and Beans on the side. I loved how the Lobsters are cut in half so it's super easy to rip the meat out of the shell! The crab claws were a bit harder to work with, even with the crackers they give you. The fish was nice and flavorful, but you do have to dissect it and eat around the bone yourself.
