It's been over fifteen years since visiting Puerto Nuevo, Rosarito, in Baja California, Mexico and having lobster. The lobster comes with rice, beans and handmade tortillas. The lobster was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The beans & rice were also tasty but the tortillas were served warm and were some of the best I've had. Watching them being made and seeing the amount of work it takes was amazing. While eating customers are entertained by local talented musicians who play songs at your request. This roof top restaurant is one of the most popular in Puerto Nuevo and the views of the ocean while eating only enhances your overall meal experience. Great spot! read more

We came to this restaurant because of its top rated reviews. It did not disappoint. We got a table for 5 ppl upstairs right away. We got a bit of ocean views from our table. We started with a half dozen oysters. They were pretty fresh. We got lobster specials - lobster with steak, lobster with shrimp and fish, and lobster burritos. The portion was decent. We also got a medium size lobster at market price (about $25 each). The flavor was very good. I also had a glass of sangria and I loved it. There were mariachis for live entertainments. Mouthwatering, fresh seafood without the American pricing! The pictures do all of the talking, but those delicious tortillas are definitely a bonus. This is my third time eating here and they don't disappoint! You have to indulge in the fried fish and lobster. I recommend sitting upstairs to catch views of the Pacific as staff will ensure you have the best experience! Went here during the week and sat on the roof. One of the only restaurants we found that didn't have someone heckling you to come inside! It was very windy that day, but overall the rooftop patio is awesome with a great view. We ordered the garlic shrimp which came with 2 large flour tortillas, rice and beans all for $13 usd. Chips limes and salsa given to us right when we sat down, and great quick service. I'm sure it gets crowded on the weekends. read more

Oh man! Where do I start? We went here like 2 times in a row! I'm salivating even as I write this, this place is freaking amazing! Upstairs patio dining at its finest, I'm telling you, it's awesome! For 20$ bucks/ or 22$ bucks you are getting 3 delicious lobster tails. The most amazing refried beans, the most delicious spanish rice and amazing tortillas. And of course all the lime and salsa you want. Seriously so good! The service is amazing as well! Super on top of it and friendly of course! We love this little town, my buddy owns a few houses and a condo in Cantamar which is like 5 minutes away! We had spent 12 days down here during Christmas and it was awesome!! With so many lobster restaurants to choose from- it's hard to choose the best one. I haven't visited them all but this one checked off so many boxes-I wouldn't want to go to any other. We were greeted with chips, salsa and pico de gallo. We ordered a bucket of beer (Indio) it was my first time trying it. Very good! Got some oysters and an agua chile. There were 7 of us so we got lobster (i think it was the $30usd option) rice, beans and the most delicious flour tortillas! Everything was so good-we're still talking about it days later. This is a nice restaurant, great view, and great service, but the food was just ok. I was expecting much more from the reviews we had seen online and I was very disappointed. The portions were small to say the least. I got the lobster with "steak" (it wasn't steak, it was some kind of beef, but not steak). I guess I got a "baby lobster", because I was done in like 3 bites. In addition, it was overcooked, so it was rubbery. The "steak" was 3 finger-size pieces of meat that honestly seemed like it was leftover meat from some other cuts. I do have to say that the service was outstanding and the servers did their best to find ways to make our meal memorable. Also I got an Indio beer that was chilled to perfection. I think it's a good hangout, but the food it's just alright. read more

I came here from Yelp reviews and the parking attendant was in the front of the restaurant cut us a deal and mentioned "Margarita is included in your meal!" We parked quickly and got seated fast! Amazing lobster. Fun experience. Nice people. They try to upsell you to the major lobster. And it is pretty major, but not necessary. The meals come with a margarita that is ok. Loved that day. The lobster was great. Not a great view inside. There is a rooftop area that they were working on when we were there. It was amazing. We went for a margarita on the water before we came for dinner... Second time we've been there and it was excellent. Starting with the basics - chips and salsa are solid with a strong spicy salsa offering. Guacamole was fresh and reasonable portion (although prices were similar to in the states ~$6). Now the lobster was super good and they were also able to accommodate some dietary restrictions nicely (lard free eating ftw)! We got two of the specials which was 3 half lobster tails, rice, beans, fresh tortillas (which were soooo good) and a margarita for $20 (varies by exchange rate). Their lobster are a bit larger than some of the places nearby offering 4 halves for 18, but it's probably all the same in the end. Lobster was fresh, easy to eat and decent sizes. Service was kind and helpful and didn't feel super touristy (although it is). The view is, of course killer. Place was a bit noisy, with random musicians constantly wandering through to play music/serenade you for a tip - my wife had a bit of a headache today, so it was particularly irritating and the meal. Luckily, nobody "wanted" music after the first 10 minutes we were there. Whew! Definitely will be back again! read more

Good for small groups or big groups. The service is great and the food comes rather quickly. The balcony has an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. Ask for the 4 halves of lobster for $16. Sit upstairs so that you have a nice view as you are enjoying the delicious food and drinks. The lobster was amazing. I tried both grilled and fried. But the winner for me was the tortillas. These were the best tortillas I have ever had in my life!!!!. There is a band that comes and will play for you for just a couple of bucks. Overall, great experience and very inexpensive. Our cab driver Jimmy recommended this place. It did not disappoint. Excellent lobster home made tortillas and all the fixins. Complete with Tecate Rojo and of course a Don Julio 70th. The staff was friendly and attentive. After we had to catch a cab back. The gentlemen outside called for us and sat us inside the restaurant on the ground floor and gave us a beer while we waited.
