I loved how cute the atmosphere was and the coffee was delicious! Service was good too. The only thing is the location can be a bit crowded in my opinion and the parking lot is very small which makes it harder to get your coffee and food quickly.

Excellent coffee shop right off Taylor St and directly next to Stude Park. They're all about all things 'Active' - very runner and biker friendly. They've hosted running events in their back patio areas, and they have places for bikers to park their bikes. They are super friendly here, and there are plenty of regulars whom the staff know. As for the food and coffee... also very good!! I tried their Horchata and it is super tasty. If you like cinnamon/drinks with cinnamon, then you should definitely give this one a try. Their breakfast tacos are excellent as well and I got two because I couldn't decide on just one flavor.

First time here and I was so impressed. Parking seems like it could get sketchy during busy times but we came on a Thursday for lunch after school had started and it was great. All the food was great including the biscuits. The restaurant itself is a great space and very inviting. Cute little game area that the kids really loved.

A fellow Yelp Elite, said the experience starts before you taste the food...the customer service! I did not feel welcome. This was my first time and I expected more, however, I received a dry customer experience. I live nearby and finally had the chance to stop by for breakfast prior to work. The bacon and cheese taco was ok, the chipotle sauce was really good and definitely. Homemade. The rose vanilla matcha just did not hit! I only tasted the match and not the rose or vanilla. There is plenty of parking and the place is very clean and I love the colors. Very vibrant!!

Nice clean coffee and breakfast/brunch spot definitely worth a try if you're in the area. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating and they were able to accommodate the large group I was a part of. They knew in advance and already had everything set up for the group before we arrived. They were so patient and accommodating the whole time for such a large group! I ordered the active passion bowl which was quinoa, kale, eggs, sweet, potato, and avocado. It was delicious! There was also a chipotle sauce that was on top as well. They had coarse salt on the kale which was a bit much but overall, I highly recommend this dish! I also had the honey lavender latte, which was delicious! They have a watermelon syrup house made that I wanted to try, but they said that it would be overpowered by the latte and I wouldn't be able to taste it. Maybe next time I'll have a drink with the watermelon syrup! They have a selection of iced drinks there that are a bit on the pricey side, but worth a try since they are so unique. Definitely a lot of positive vibes here! The only thing I would say is that the parking is kind of tight. Especially if you have a large group. But there was also street parking available so that helped.

Great spot! The matcha was smooth and well made, and the blueberry muffin was fresh and delicious. Perfect combo--will definitely be back.

Stumbled upon this place & SO GLAD I did. The staff was sweet, place was clean, and food was deliciously fresh. The iced pumpkin latte was just a little sweet & made with in-house puree. And the Active Breakfast Bowl will make me want to drive the 45 minutes here to eat this all the time! SOOOO GOOD!! 10/10

Good coffee and good food, in a casual and open environment? Sign me up. The barista was so helpful, as she asked whether it was my first time here. Knowing that I wanted to get their staple item on the menu, she recommended the most popular entrees first. However, I told her that I was wanting to get something out of the ordinary that I couldn't really just do on my own, and something unique that I couldn't really find anywhere else. And so she immediately recommended the Kimchi grilled cheese with one fried egg. That was a combination I've never even dreamed of before, but I was intrigued. The sharpness of the cheddar really complimented the taste/texture of the kimchi. And the sourdough added a complexity to it. Add the fried egg and I'm like, give me more. She also explained some of the latte options, but I opted for the flat white - which was really solid. There are plenty of seats inside and outside, including some comfy seats right around the corner in a library like setting. I opted for one of the tables but also sat out in the backyard patio. Lots of wall for chalk art for littles, while there are really nice shady places to sit and relax. Only thing is that there were no more parking in the immediate lot so ended up parking on the street. Overall a great place to study, sip coffee and eat some unique food!!

Black sesame latte with oat milk

Adorable coffee shop with delicious food and drink. Loved the smashed avocado bagel (I added a fried egg - you should, too) albeit a little messy to eat. I went with one of their recommended drinks, the black sesame latte, which was super tasty with oat milk. Will be back to try more menu items!

Active Passion Coffee is such a gem in Houston! I came on a day when they had a halal menu and couldn't resist--I got everything along with a few drinks, and everything was absolutely delicious. The cookie butter iced latte was next level, easily one of the best I've had. Service was warm and friendly, and you can tell they really care about their customers. Inside there are only a few spots, but the huge backyard and patio make it perfect for relaxing with friends or just enjoying the outdoors. Definitely a place I'll keep coming back to!

We wanted to get sesame balls but they were sold out. Customer service was great. The guy that took our order was very nice. It was pretty busy but he moved through the line quickly. There's some seating inside if you want to eat there. Prices are very reasonable at $2 each for the mochi and egg tarts. The savory pastries were $3. It's located in a shared lot/area. Parking can be tight and limited on a busy weekend day but they have parking right out front for the Eck bakery customers. Also note that if you pay with card it's a 2.5% charge so cash is better if you have it. We didn't but we know now for future. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back. The scones and pastries are more hit-or-miss, sometimes fantastic and sometimes slightly overcooked and dry. This is a place to buy great bread. If you're there and the croissants and pastries look good, go for it--but there are better destinations if that's your draw. Zero atmosphere and not a place to hang out.

Honestly, I try not to indulge in sweet desserts for health reasons, but whilst visiting family, my…read moremother couldn't stop raving about this place and how she so enjoyed their desserts so much that she goes back over and over again to buy by the dozens to gift to all her friends..... especially their chocolate panache tarts.... but unfortunately, the day we went to try, they were all sold out by lunch time. So, what we decided to do was to place an order for the chocolate ganache tarts a couple of days later, but while we were here, we'd try their Amandine tart, Sachertorte, and an Eclaire. Wow, I just had a bite of each and....daaaang, they were so so soooo good! So satisfying, so decadent, so next level deliciousness! ... perhaps a little sweet, but not overly so... thoroughly enjoyed just the taste of each. A couple of days later when we finally got to try their chocolate ganache tarts... wow... again! So obviously freshly baked, such wonderful density, flavor, and bite... with a butter cookie textured shell..... absolute heaven, and so difficult to just limit oneself to just one bite, but I managed. I'm sure we'll be back here again during our next visit.

The bakery itself is simple and clean. Be respectful of the place and help clean up after yourself. Not one customer made a mess there. Everyone are respectful to the sweet owner. The drinks itself are simple, reasonably priced on the cheaper side. Not sweet at all so ask if you want it to be sweeten. Quality and perfect desserts. Just semi-sweet so if you have a crazy sweet tooth, this is not your bakery. Again, prices are extremely reasonable and I see lots of locals who enjoy coming here. Prices are actually on the lower side of what I see throughout Houston. Passionfruit tart was my favorite, if you need someone to tell you what to try.
