What a great find this company turned out to be. I have a ten year old el shaped sectional that is off white and was in need of cleaning. RJ and Robert came out to do the job. I must say not only were they professional they went above and beyond what was needed. I'm very satisfied with the result and will have them back to clean my carpets soon. You won't go wrong using Active Chem Dri. read more

I called and asked for a quote and told them it was a small apartment and that I live on the second floor. We set the appointment. When the guy showed up he said he couldn't run his hoses up to the 2nd floor for safety reasons and that he didn't have the portable machine. I was flabbergasted as I had told the receptionist on the phone that I live on the second floor. When I called later and spoke with the receptionist I asked why she had sent him without the portable. She told me one wasn't available - to which I again asked why would you send someone to a 2nd floor apartment w/o the portable. She responded that since I had said there was a parking area nearby she thought it might work. I wasn't very nice after that I admit. I was really upset that my entire afternoon had been wasted b/c she thought it MIGHT work. Really? That's just poor business. And to top it all off the guy said it was going to cost me $500 to clean less than 500 sq ft of carpet. I told him no thanks. Heck for that kind of money I can buy my own carpet cleaner. I was very disappointed in this experience and will never use chem dry. I am still flabbergasted that the receptionist would book a 2nd story cleaning when they didn't have the portable cleaner available. just poor business practice in my opinion. read more

Just used their service for a second time today (my dog keeps destroying my couches). Great service! Took OJ and Jeff ~3 hours to clean 3 sofas. Honest about what does and doesn't come off. Would definitely use their service again next time I need it! read more

This was by far the best carpet-cleaning service I've ever worked with. I can't remember the last time the floors looked this clean! RJ was extremely thorough and had amazing attention to detail. There were some spots I couldn't believe he was able to get out. He really went above and beyond. Lilly whom I booked the appointment with at Customer Service was also extremely helpful and informative. I'm so happy to have a local business that we love so much - we'll definitely be coming back next time! Thanks again! read more

Hands down the best cleaning service! Carpet looks and feels new, and smells great. I have a 5 year old boy and large dog that beat my carpet up - these guys took care of that no problem . read more

The apartment next to us uses this company and every time they clean their carpets we get this nice clean smell that blows over to our side. I've seen them in action and they look to be quite professional when cleaning. I don't know if they do exclusively residential but i'd like to see if possibly they can come do our office. read more

I had Active Chem-Dry clean our carpet. Not only did they make the carpet look great again but they eliminated the urine odor from our dog. RJ was very professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely use them again. Good job!! read more

We just moved into our house and we had the previous owner (sis n law) leave her alot of her funiture. I found Active Chem-Dry on Yelp because of their ratings. RJ and his crew came right on time and sucked up all the pen marks, kid funk and stains out of my sofa set, area rug and my sectional upstairs. They were straight up and professional. I would definitely recommend them for carpet and upholstery cleaning. Thanks guys!!! read more

First of all I am highly suspicious when anyone asks me to write them a Yelp review. I was asked more than once to write "a good review". I think the experience should speak for itself, I don't appreciate being asked to review a business, especially being told what type of review to write. It makes the customer feel doubtful and like the service/business is subpar before they have even made up their own mind. It also makes the business look quite desperate. Furthermore I find many of these five star reviews highly suspicious. I wish I had paid more attention to the details of these reviews. Most of them were written within the last three months, but maybe the business is brand new? My boyfriend even told me that RJ had the audacity to ask him to write a Yelp review IN FRONT OF HIM and he offered him a discount to do so! I didn't find that out until after they left though. I felt very swindled because they quoted us $90 on the phone to clean one room and one hallway, including pet stain removal. Somehow the quote jumped to over $400 once they showed up for the appointment. For one room and hallway! It made absolutely no sense. We even asked to use a coupon we found on their website, they didn't seem to honor or acknowledge it at all. Who runs a business this way? My boyfriend was able to get them to quote $244, I guess it didn't include all the pet stain removal, the reason we were getting the cleaning! What did we pay so much for? It made me livid when I found this out. Why are there no prices on the website? It just makes it seem so shady to me. I thought we were getting a thorough pet stain removal, but apparently the $244 didn't cover pet stain removal? They did a pretty good job but we are still smelling odors from the carpet. There's an improvement but in no way are the odors gone. For the price this wasn't nearly worth it. I could have gotten this type of cleaning for a fraction of the price and much less of a headache. No one likes feeling screwed over. I can't even tell you how much I wish I sent them away when they told us this price but we were exhausted, not thinking straight, and just wanted it over with. read more

Quoted me 300 on the phone after I told them exactly what I wanted done. Got here and charged over $550.00!!! Big long double-talk about why. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

My carpets finally look and feel brand new! RJ (the owner of Active Chem-dry) did such an amazing job and provided really excellent service. He not only showed up on time (which is huge for me) but he is such a genuinely nice and down-to-earth guy that I felt like he was part of the family right when I met him. After he assessed my carpet I decided to go with a deep cleaning and do a PERT treatment in one room that removed pet stains and odors. I decided to leave for a couple of hours, otherwise, I would end up micro-managing him (yes I am THAT type of person). Anyway he ended up finishing early and when I got back, my place just felt super clean. After my carpet finally dried I saw what an amazing job RJ did and I really couldn't be happier. If you want to revive your carpet, I highly recommended RJ to get it done!! read more

Had a great all-around experience with RJ and Ryan this afternoon. They were very flexible with my schedule even during the busy holiday season. The pricing seemed competitive with others I've seen. They arrived in a timely fashion after calling first to give an ETA. I had them clean two rooms, two rugs, and my staircase but they gave me an estimate on some other things as well. Never did I feel pressured into purchasing a service I didn't want. They were very clear on what I was purchasing and the differences between the different services they offered. They even helped me move some small furniture around to give them a clear path to work with. They checked in a few times to show me the results of their work and seemed genuine in their concern that I was pleased with what they were doing. I was overall very happy with their work and would certainly not hesitate to use them again. In fact, I'm almost certain they'll get my business when I decide to clean my sectional couch in 2016. read more

First of all, making an appointment was easy and they got here right on time on a Saturday. Everything was explained really well by RJ. The work was done quickly and the results were fantastic. We had a few dark spots and they were gone. Also, I had an extra throw rug that was cleaned outside. We also got the citric fragrance and it was nice but not too strong. Great work, highly recommend! read more

RJ came to do our floors and he was wonderful! We have 3 rooms, stairs, a hallway and a very difficult area rug. He took the time to explain all the steps, the pricing and what to expect after he was finished. I love that they warranty their work as well. He was very honest about his work, and explained what the cleaning would take out of the carpet. My 11 month old baby was getting ready to go down for a nap, and he completed her room first so that the service wouldn't interrupt her sleeping schedule. I thought that was a very nice personal touch. He also assured me that his products are green and safe for my kids and pets. It gave me peace of mind to know they wouldn't be inhaling any toxins. Great service, great price, great product! read more

Excellent job! Carpets look brand new. Technicians were professional and provided great customer service.

Active Chem-Dry owned and operated by RJ did a fantastic job on my extremely dirty carpets! RJ was incredibly professional, showed up on time, cleaned up afterwards, and was not overly pushy! I would recommend him to anyone! Outstanding work! read more

Let me start off by saying i am someone that does my research not just to get the best deal but to find the most honest, hardworking person. After reading through countless companies because there are a billion carpet cleaners out there I found RJ. I wasn't sure what I was going what to expect although the the initial conversation on the phone was pleasant and it seemed as though he was an honest hard working person. Well today RJ showed up about 10 minutes early and went to work. Now the result, and it was exactly what RJ said it would be. I got exactly what RJ explained to me I would get. I am very happy with the service and have a neighbor that checked it out and will be using RJ services in the near future. I believe in good customer service, hard work, and sticking to your word and he did all those things so I felt compelled to give a 5 star review. read more

Active Chem-Dry was able to squeeze me into their schedule with very short notice. My carpet was really dirty and I was surprised at how well they were able to clean it. It looks amazing! I really didn't expect it to come out so well. The technician was very professional and honest and explained everything really well without being pushy. The person on the phone was very helpful as well. I plan on using them again and I would recommend Active Chem-Dry to anyone needing their carpets cleaned. read more

The only carpet in our home is our stairs and hallway. After 5 years, we had disgusting foot stains from the traffic in our house. We researched several companies and decided to use Active Chem-Dry. RJ and his assistant, Jeff, arrived right on time. Even though they give a 4 hour window, they actually call about 30 to 40 minutes prior to arriving. It was perfect because we wanted to do some errands that day, too. They were very friendly and professional, and now our stairs and rugs look just like new. Plus, they add a stain repellent protection, so it will stay cleaner longer. I will definitely use them again in the future. Thanks guys! read more

RJ and ryan showed up to my house and gave me the rundown of their services I was a bit hesitant at first being as I had a bad experience with the last carpet cleaning service I used as they left a bad reissue on the carpet that kept coming back. both of them were super helpful and beyond everything quick as they finished the job quickly and throughly. the carpets look fresh and smell great plus a 30 day warranty. overall a great service read more

The appointment was very easy to make, and the follow through on confirming was great as well. The time window I received was 3p-6p and though I was thinking I was going to be waiting until the later part of that quoted time frame, to my surprise, I received a call at 2:30p informing me that they would be at the house in 30minutes- right on time! RJ answered our questions and explained the procedures very well, from what to expect to how we could better maintain our carpets and rugs. The only reason for the deduction of one star was because the price quoting online was a bit misleading, only because it's very broad. I wasn't expecting to spend as much as I ended up paying but that being said, RJ worked with us and the outcome was worth the cost of services. I would recommend Active Chem-Dry to anyone seeking a great, green company to thoroughly clean your carpet and rugs. read more

We're extremely happy with the customer service provided by RJ. He's personable, on time, and very detailed in his task. He went above and beyond for us. We have very light beige carpet, that of course tracks a lot of dirt.Shout out for taking good care of our carpet. We will use his services again!! Thank you RJ @ Active Chem Dry. read more

Active Chem-Dry set me up with a 1-4pm window, but RJ and Ryan showed up at 1:30pm! It's always refreshing for people to show up right there in the timeframe! RJ and Ryan were very friendly, very thorough, and gave great recommendations. The carpet was sparkling clean after they were done! It even comes with a 30-day warranty! The price point for Active Chem-Dry was fair since we are located in Irvine. Great work! read more

Active Chem-Dry truly deserve my five star review. I called for an appointment and they have a courteous customer service. They called me an hour prior to my appointment. When they got here we walked thru the areas that I wanted to be cleaned but they also pointed out to me areas that needed attention. RJ who was my serviceman gave me the breakdown of the cost and I was happy to have them get started. 45 minutes later, I am very satisfied with the result and super impressed with how much effort they put into cleaning my carpet. It is vary rare nowadays to come across carpet cleaners that are professional and friendly. RJ exceeded my expectations with his work and his knowledge of carpet cleaning was exceptional.
