I hardly ever write Yelp reviews but I trusted Mario and he seemed like a man of his word, and the way he treated me after he got paid was so disappointing that I think people should know before they book him. I called for same day carpet cleaning and he was able to come, which I was so grateful for since I was recovering from surgery. Carpet was my priority. I mentioned tile as a maybe, but when we sat down to go over pricing he talked me into a lot more. $325 to deep clean the carpets on all 3 floors, then another $125 for a full service with sanitizer, enzymes and fabric protection because he said the deep clean alone wouldn't get rid of odors, then $325 to add the tile. To sell me on the tile he did a demo on a few of my tiles and they looked perfect. He said the whole floor would look like that once it dried and to just give it time and let it dry. I said ok, as long as if the tiles dried and still looked bad he would come back, and he shook my hand and said absolutely, he guarantees his work. That is the only reason I agreed to spend $800. And I want to be fair here. On the walkthrough we agreed on ONE area that wasn't going to come out, the bathroom tile on my third floor where I had used a white grout pen. I accepted that and I still have no problem with it. That was the only thing in my house either of us ever called permanent. When we went over the invoice and pricing together there was nothing on it about permanent stains. When they finished, he handed me the invoice as he was walking out the door saying thank you. There were no issues at that point so I just set it on my kitchen table without looking at it. Why would I? We shook hands. That evening I found a spot on my bedroom carpet they missed, so I texted him a photo. Politely. The next day the kitchen and dining room tile finished drying and it looked NOTHING like his demo. Blotchy dark patches all over the floor, grout still dirty, streaks everywhere. Honestly worse than before. So I texted him photos like we agreed. And that's when everything changed. Suddenly cleaning always has "glitches and imperfections." Suddenly I need a more expensive "restoration wash" that was never mentioned when he was showing me perfect demo tiles. Suddenly I made his crew go back "so many times" when he came to my house exactly once. He told me my texts were complaints, that I complained before he even got home, that $800 "is NOT A LOT OF MONEY," and he even sent me another customer's $1,555 invoice like that had anything to do with me. I never argued his price once. I asked him to honor the guarantee we shook on. And here's the part that really got me. He kept saying "look at your invoice, you got permanent stains." I went and picked up the invoice off my table and there it was, "You got some permanent stains," written under the tile charge. That was NOT on there when we went over the pricing together. It was never discussed and never shown to me, and the only permanent spot we ever agreed on was one bathroom upstairs. I was nothing but kind and generous with this man and it all got thrown back in my face like he did me a favor and I was the problem. I've dealt with a lot of service companies from yelp and I have never been treated like this. I asked him to either come back or refund the tile portion so I could pay someone else to fix it, and he stopped responding. I'm pretty sure he blocked my number. I paid through Zelle so I have no protection at all, just his handshake, which apparently stopped meaning anything once the money went through. I have every screenshot, every photo, and the invoice. Before you book, read the other one star reviews on this page, including the filtered ones at the bottom. I wish I had. Update: As you can see, Mario has responded, and his response speaks for itself. I tried to resolve this privately before ever posting on Yelp. I texted him photos, my husband asked him to come back, and we were both ghosted. I believe he blocked my number, since my read receipts no longer show. I made him redo spots "so many times"? The truth: I asked about one spot, the tile above my stairs, because it looked like it hadn't been done. They went over it, and he commented he'd "rather not come back for one small spot." I thought nothing of it. Everything else was me asking questions while the tile was still wet, since he assured me it would look great once dry and I said I'd let him know. That's what he's calling complaints? I have screenshots of every text. I take a handshake and a guarantee seriously, and he shouldn't have made promises he wasn't willing to stand behind. 300 five-star reviews don't give anyone the right to treat a customer this way. Notice he never denies the handshake guarantee, the "permanent stains" added to my invoice without discussion, or refusing to come back. Just make sure you get his "guarantee" in writing. His handshake doesn't mean anything. read more

Disclaimer: This review is personal to the owner of this company, Mario. As a previous private business owner, I understand running a business, for most sole proprietors our personal lives are hard to separate. We pride ourselves on starting something that is profitable. We work hard for it. I respect anyone that can do it. What I do not respect nor condone is becoming a tyrant, using your place to harm others and especially taking their money. Who we are as individuals always carries over, owners or a simple employee. This man rented me a tiny room, charged $1200 for it. I agreed, not denying that. He took $300 dollars as a deposit, agreed upon. I was in his home for less that 2 months. He accused me of mold, he banged on the door of a small 5'4 girl and kicked me out because I stood up for myself. This man is a tyrant. I stood in his kitchen having a simple conversation with his wife, he stormed down and screamed that a "pozole" doesn't take 2 hours to make. He is a tall very big man, he uses his voice and stature to make others feel, FEAR. I wouldn't allow this man in my home, ever. He accused me of causing an unsafe environment for his disabled son. His son was darling, loving, kind and what person would ever come rudely to a disabled child? I got back $ 100, he accused me of a broken TV and I do accept that I moved the TV to his pathetic little table and I bumped the table one night and the TV FELL over, a small 32" Roku TV. It still worked and I never saw any damage. I accept responsibility for it. What I do not is a " MAINTNENCE" fee. This horrible man, owns a carpet cleaning business, yet will charge a person $100 for no reason. Point: Who we are to others in our private LIFE matters and carries to our business, our character always matters, unfortunately this horrendous grown man doesn't respect women and is wiling to trade his character for $100. I wouldn't allow this man to come with one inch of my home. Who we are as human beings always matters. This man is not worthy of being in anyone's home. read more

I don't usually take the time to write long reviews, but Mario's Carpet Cleaning absolutely deserves it. From start to finish, the experience was smooth, honest, and genuinely impressive. What first caught my attention was the pricing. Mario charged only $149 for 4 rooms and a hallway, which honestly sounded almost too good to be true. I had already called around, and other companies were quoting me anywhere from $250 to $300 for the same job. Naturally, I was a little skeptical at first--but I'm really glad I gave him a chance. Mario showed up on time, was professional, and got straight to work. You can tell right away that he takes pride in what he does. He didn't rush the job or cut corners--he took his time, paid attention to detail, and made sure everything came out looking great. Some of my carpets had pretty noticeable stains and high-traffic wear, and by the time he was done, they looked refreshed and way better than I expected. What really stood out to me, though, was his honesty and work ethic. There were no surprise charges, no upselling pressure, and no gimmicks--just straightforward, quality service at a fair price. That kind of transparency is hard to find these days. If you're looking for someone reliable, affordable, and who genuinely cares about the quality of their work, I highly recommend Mario's Carpet Cleaning. It's rare to find someone offering this level of service at such a reasonable price. I'll definitely be using him again and recommending him to friends and family. read more

Mario really cares about customer satisfaction. If there are any issues, let mario know, and Mario is very proactive in resolving the issue. It is also quite easy to schedule the appointment with this company. I've used their service twice, and both times I had my appt scheduled within 24 hours. They really helped me out with a pet accident on a light color carpet. I appreciated their effort and helpfulness, especially when I needed the clean up quickly the second time. Mario provides a quote over the phone, so for the most accurate quotation, give him as much details about the condition of the carpet and square footage as possible. The cleaning price is based on the square footage... I will definitely use Mario again..! read more

I got first hand exposure to all the great experiences posted by others. I had some major stains on my carpet that Mario identified as toner and oil based. He outlined his 2-step cleaning for such hard to remove stains and was patient in answering all my questions/concerns. Sure enough, after his 2-step process...stains were removed and the carpet looked great. Amazing also was Mario's ability to perform cleaning on a last minute, same-day request. If you're looking for QUALITY in carpet cleanup AND in customer service, PLEASE do yourself a favor and contact Mario. With his great work, I'm just sorry I don't have more carpets/flooring to clean! read more

Mario is an expert in his sector! He knows a lot about carpets and travertine stone. I called him this week to clean my Persian carpet- he did amazing work! The most important- he explains and shows what he is doing. I could tell my carpet is in good hands of a professional. He also restored my travertine floor- they look like new- my first time using this kind of service- after cleaning the floor myself, including spending $100 on a steam cleaning floor machine. My floor is like new!! Mario explained, showed his machines. It was worth to spend the money. He also left me with instructions how to care for my stone floor! I highly recommend him. read more

This was my first time getting my carpets cleaned and I'm glad I chose Mario. I contacted Mario via Yelp messages and he promptly responded. He was willing to provide same day cleaning, however it didn't work with my schedule too well so we were able to schedule a cleaning a day or two later. Upon arrival, he examined our carpets and provided a very fair price. Didn't take long, around 1.5hours for 4 rooms, stairs, and hallway. You can tell that he values customer service, offering to come back if there were any issues. Our carpets were left nice and clean. Highly recommend to book with him if you ever need your carpets cleaned! read more

Mario is not only a true professional, he is a gentleman and very pleasant person. He arrived on time, examined our carpet and area rugs and provided us with a very fair estimate. We agreed to have the work done on the spot. He said it would take about 90 minutes and that is exactly the amount of time he took to complete the job. Our carpets and area rugs look brand new. He guarantees his work and will return promptly if you are not satisfied. However, I doubt if any client would not be satisfied with his work-it is exceptional. If you want a clean carpet do not waste your time calling other services-call Mario. read more

One word: AMAZING!! I had an old carpet with my dogs pee stains everywhere. It was looking old and starting to smell. I was ready to get rid of carpet and install tile. However, I knew it would be a lot cheaper to try a carpet cleaning service before giving in to tile. Mario's carpet cleaning changed my home to look and feel brand new! I would never thought I would see my carpet look and feel so new! Plus, it smelled amazing!! Super affordable and super reliable! Thank you for your services!! Will definitely get again and I definitely recommend! 10/10! read more

I stumbled on Mario by accident as I was driving by my house and I saw his van in front of a neighbors residence so I decided to give him a call. I have called multiple other cleaners that had crazy prices that increased by the second as they were talking. Mario was honest and straightforward with his pricing which included ONLY one optional price increase for the carpet deodorizer. His work speaks for itself. My wife & I feel truly blessed to find Mario and will continue to use him and reference him to our friends and family in the future. read more
