My experience at Acre was great. This is one of the coziest restaurants I've been to in Memphis. The food and drinks were excellent, and so was the service. I loved the foie gras torchon and would recommend it to anyone. The short rib gnocchi was rich and pillowy and a huge portion for the price. The rotolo with morels was one of the tastiest, and prettiest, pasta dishes I've tried. I look forward to my next visit here.

Came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner and loved the ambiance, service, and food! The cornbread panzanella salad was unique and delightful. The cornbread made it more interesting and more Southern, which I really enjoyed. I had the wild king salmon with grits as my main, and it was so tender. The grits were rich and creamy. For dessert, we had an assortment of mini ones - I tried the panna cotta, which was good, the chocolate mousse, which was excellent, and a macaron, which was also excellent.

Came here for a birthday dinner last week. Food was all right. Nothing we ordered for appetizers or entrees were anything we'd order again. This includes the broccolini, the smoked farro, the NY steak and the Rib Eye. Both steaks were not accurately cooked to temp and had a lack of seasoning. The desserts were our favorite part of the meal, especially the sticky date cake and the hazelnut chocolate tart. Those desserts redeemed the whole experience! Bottle of wine (Pinot Noir) was really nice and paired well with our food. Our server was good/fair. Ambiance was excellent. The atmosphere itself and the patio are exquisite.

We went to ACRE for a rehearsal dinner and it was fantastic. The restaurant itself is beautiful - it looks and feels like an old home that was converted into a restaurant. Very intimate and perfect for our group size. The salad to start was amazing, I wish I could recreate the dressing. I had the salmon with black rice and it was perfect. Service was great, my only suggestion would be that the servers wait to deliver drinks/food until after the toast/speech is finished. I understand that is tough but the speeches were very short! Otherwise, I loved ACRE and would return next time I'm in town.

If I could leave a negative star I would. I had dinner there tonight 2/12/22 and had a horrible experience. I know since Covid it's hard to find good employees that actually care about costumer service but wen you are spending over $160 for 2 people plus tip I was expecting a little more than an attitude and perhaps a refill. My girlfriend got the NY strip and I got the Pork Both of them were crispy on the outside and completely raw on the inside. She sent hers back 2 times and finally got a burn dried steak but I completely lost my appetite after tasting uncooked pork.

Food was phenomenal! Chef came out and it was obvious that he took pride in his creations. Morgan the Bartender was an absolute disgrace "B" for this establishment. My whole group felt like we were bothering her. We had to ask 3-4 times to get refills of drinks. If you sit at a table this will likely be 5 star restaurant.

Wonderful experience, not your ordinary menu... which is a huge PLUS!! Our waitress was attentive and we received plenty of food. Whoever the bartender was, made our taste buds very happy:)))

We dined here with friends and the food ,service , and ambiance were wonderful! The server Sonja was extremely knowledgeable of the menu offerings and suggested her favorites as well . We were a party of four and ordered the filet , the halibut , cauliflower, au gratin , broccolini, potatoes, mushroom risotto , salad and banana tarts for dessert. Libations included red wine , specialty tequila cocktails and rose . The steak was amazing with flavorful gravy and the halibut was fresh and tasty ! The restaurant is a beautiful space with a small bar , great dining area and patio offerings. The only reason I didn't give them five stars, is the menu is a bit limited for entree selections and the reservation process is not automated (you have to call in - no online bookings ) and they call yuh back to confirm , which can be a bit inconvenient.

We haven't frequented any restaurants of late due to the Covid-19 pandemic but this was a special occasion. It's not everyday your husband turns 40! I am so glad Acre was the destination we chose, after stepping out of protective bubble. They took all the necessary precautions and kept the restaurant at 25% capacity. Now to the food. Everything we ordered was amazing, but I was an especially huge fan of the gnocci. I really don't come here enough but suspect we will become regular patrons.

3.5 stars according to my standards but for Memphis 5 stars because there is nothing better in this god forsaken city. The menu is great we got a total of 9 small plates. I want to say 5 dishes were good, 2 great, 2 we sent back. It's a beautiful ambiance, very romantic. Food is good and we will be back for the other main items. To me, this is the best restaurant in Memphis if you are coming from large metropolitan type cities like NYC, LA, etc. otherwise this would be a 6.5/10 type restaurant in those kinds of big cities. For Memphis? 9.5/10. Service was not the greatest. Our server was just short and rude typical of Memphis service. Whatever I am used it at this point lol. But yes like others have said the service is whatever for what you pay for but it's not "horrible" like others like to exaggerate. I say try this place. $25 corkage fee and delicious cocktails.

I visited Acre on a dark, rainy night and drove right past it and was given instructions on how to find it "look for the yellow door". Once I arrived, it felt like a nice home. My friends were at the bar in the back and had ordered the charcuterie tray, chickpea fries, and burger. Everything looked great. I decided to order the Kim Chi fries and truly believe I made the best decision. There were so many fries and there was just the right amount of toppings. The Bulgogi Beef, Cheese, and more made it the most high classed bowl of fries that I ever sank my teeth into. They have a full menu and I'm sure you'll find something great too.

Everyone was a bit concerned about the location and parking, but it was easy to locate and easy to park. Service with impeccable and food was fabulous. There were many varied choices for lunch so we all got something different with no complaints!! That's a win for the home team The entrees were savory, cooked to perfection and spot on. I do believe C and I have only been here once as a couple. It did not go well at all, so we have not been back together, as she is holding a bit of a grudge. It's a long story but it all ties back to service. That night we had the worst table in the building and service was spotty at best. Food was still pretty good, just whole ass annoyed by the entirety of the rest of the experience. I am lucky enough to be able to be taken to/host dinner with clients and manufacturers a good bit. They like places like this so I get by ever so often. Gotta love expensed meals!!! Tehehe I like the open kitchen concept they have and the bar is really cool. The metal shelves at the bar that store the booze are bad ass. It's warm and cozy and has a great vibe overall. The last time we sat on the enclosed patio. I had not sat out there before. I think the larger tables all go out there. We had seven and there was another group of about twenty in the same room with us. Food ranges from fairly good to fucking great. I've never had anything bad here, but a few sighs have been had, mostly by misunderstood expectations of what I was getting I would say. So, quite possibly I am the problem. As with most of my problems, actually... The oysters Rockefeller are very different from the norm. Fried oysters on a side of spinach. That's what it seems like. I ate it up, don't get me wrong. I did just switch to only fried oysters after the first one. No need wasting stomach space on spinach. Charbroiled oysters is always a good move and the preparation remains traditional on that one. I do find the oysters to be quite massive and hard to chew the whole thing at once. Cutting them just seems silly though. Steaks are prepared very well and to your liking each time. I have never had a bad one. Good flavor too. I am going to spring on the Hawaiian Ribeye the next time I go on my dime. It's a classic that I remember from Steak and Ale as well as Houston's. Both now gone from Memphis. I like the she crab soup an awful lot, and just about every entree I have had here is killer. You really cannot go wrong with the food. Just order something you normally like and boom. I will also say this. The short ribs I had last time were some of the best I have ever had. Bravo on that! Additionally, I had two giant pieces for like $40! I could only eat one of them after all of the appetizers. Oh.... Yea. They have a hot lobster roll that is good! You don't see that in Memphis very often!! Get you some. Wait.... Lamb Lollipops. They have evolved some of the years but they have really good lamb chops. They used to be the exact same dish as their sister concepts of Itta Bena, BB Kings, and Lafayette's. I am not sure if the whole family still has the old version or not. Here it has changed a good bit. As I write this, I crave it.... Ugh. Damn your foods and your seductive prowess food skills! Lastly, Tommy Peters did great things for this city's food scene. I am sad that he is gone but I know he was proud of this one! Ok. That's enough, Adam.... No one reads this crap anyway. '26 - 48
