Second, when I came to pick up the keys, I was told my lease hadn't been signed online even thought it had. Then, once I re-signed the lease (the person working there pushed all the buttons so I have no idea whether what he agreed to was what I had agreed to online) I was given keys and a lock and told all I had to do was make sure my code worked in the garage door, which it did. I returned about 2 hours later, after their business hours (which are only until 5, so good luck if you work a 9-5 and then need help) to put furniture into the storage unit. We had to unload outside the garage in the rain because the truck they rent out was blocking one of the elevators and someone unloading stuff who was apparently upstairs at their unit left their car in front of the other one. We unloaded, took a large couch up and found that the yellow dummy lock that was to be removed before we could move in never was. Thus we had to carry the couch BACK downstairs after trying without help to talk to "Customer Service" who didn't even know what I was talking about when I mentioned the yellow placeholder lock. In summary, don't do it. There's a Public Storage and U-Haul storage facility literally a stone's throw from this place where you'll get much better service. Still awaiting my refund that may have been charged twice since I had to fill out the lease twice.

I honestly never saw more than 2 other cars there loading things, which made sharing space for loading and carts very easy. Unfortunately, I did have a leak in my unit from the HVAC system but Jonathon on site was great and helpful. Would recommend using the insurance company through the Extra Space as it has made the reimbursement for damage process seamless and easy. Unfortunate to have things damaged but this is best case scenario. Would recommend this storage unit and would use myself again.

Because traffic was heavy on highway 61, my car was idling in the path of the electric gates. There were people in front of and in back of me so I couldn't get out of the way. No big deal, right? By law, automatic gates require a safety feature that prevents people/objects from being crushed. Not this one. They removed the electric eye because it "kept opening" according to the owner, and my car was crushed, causing $2000 worth of damage. The witchy receptionist lady was rude from the first minute I called. No one answered the "emergency" number, which makes me wonder what was happen if the place was on fire or something. She called me back 2 days later, saying that it was my fault, and that there are signs saying that there is an electric gate. Huh? Does that excuse your faulty system? I finally got her to agree to have her boss call me back. He wouldn't give me their insurance information. When he finally did, he lied about what happened and they denied my claim, costing me a $500 deductible. Awful place, terrible customer service, dumpy storage units. Spend a few extra bucks and get a decent place with people who know how to provide customer service.

Furthermore, I'm on the upper level of this two-story facility, and the elevator only works about a third of the time. This is a clean facility, probably because it's kind of new. And if you get a space on the bottom level, you won't have to worry about the elevator. But I would advise against getting an upper-level space here unless you don't think you'll need the elevator.

After about 75 days we noticed the mattress seem to holding some type of memory after leaving the bed and was no longer comfortable. We were told that it could be normal with some of those mattresses which I'm skeptical about this information. We inquired about exchanging the bed to try one of their hybrid mattresses. We asked about 100 day policy and see if they could extend that for a few weeks since the new bed wouldn't arrive until after they picked up the old mattress, delivery at the earliest is 14 days, and that would give us about 10 days to decide if it would work. We were told there is no way to extend the plan by even a few days. Our only option at this point is to get a replacement or exchange and hope for the best. If the new bed is not going to work our we would be out almost $4,000 for bed and frame or we could return the bed and pay the restocking fee for our trouble. Hopefully you will be more informed about purchasing with Mattress Firm and be lucky that the bed you pick will not have issues, and if it does you are well within the 100 days to get a replacement and have time to test it out. The quote was wrong, the movers were slow and one was exceptionally unprofessional (by any standard) cost me over 3x my estimate and there was damaged property involved and issues with fixing the problems. Don't use them. A pick up truck and 2 guys from the nursing home could be faster. I was so disappointed. 11.5 hrs instead of 3 and a half. I extensively itemized all my property as instructed as well. Should have been no issues. I wont post pictures of the day because I dont think it's fair to show them not being efficient.
