Their service is always great and the employees are friendly. The drinks and food generally come out pretty quickly. It's usually busy tho, so be prepared for a bit of a longer line at their peak hours. My go-to is an iced latte with their complimentary simple syrup. I'd say it is of the best lattes in town. My boyfriend always gets a matcha latte, and he ranks it among the top 3 in Eugene. I will note that the breakfast sandwich wasn't good -- I don't know if I just got unlucky the one day I got it or what but it was almost inedible. The biscuit was super dry and the egg and sausage were tough and hard to chew. I don't know if they put it in the oven for too long but I couldn't finish it after a few bites and had to throw the rest of it out

Decided to add salt and cracked pepper and then I discovered they had an awesome hot sauce. Added a few drops of that, too, and it is very good toast. Decided to pick up some additional mini challah loaves $6 to freeze and take back for family's Christmas. Also ordered the maple syrup winter squash cinnamon roll $8. It was heated and delicious. Could not leave without trying the chocolate chip cookies just $2. I was persuaded by MR two are better than one and now I have one for the road. For a drink decided to try one of the J-Teas they serve. Just guess which one.

The staff was super friendly and I loved the organic options for alternative milks, coffees, teas and smoothies. They also have granola bowls available which I enjoyed, and a few pastries. My matcha was made with oatmilk and was really good, not too sweet. I heard there's a cat around but unfortunately I didn't see it :( Another huge bonus about this cafe is that they are open until 10pm on weekdays! This might become a new evening study spot for me! I hope to come back and see the cat and try some more drinks! I love the vegan options and comfortable ambiance!

You might wait 15 min to place your order, and another 30-60 min for your food. If you just want a quick drip coffee you can self-serve that for a cash payment. By only complaints on the two times I visited...the women's rest room is badly in need of being aired out, and the gluten-free bread...I can make much better GF bread at home.

It's not like going to a bad bar or even restaurant where you still can eat a few hours later. Coffee has a small window and a maximum amount of intake. That being said, this morning we chose wisely. Not only did we use Yelp but we backed up our decision with a google search and that took us to Reddit. Equiano was a top suggestion on both sites. And we understand why. The service was 100% top notch. Helpful. Friendly and knowledgeable, not only about what they offered but about the regions best shops! The coffee itself was very expressive. The Camaroon was totally my style with an earthier tone and the Chai was delightful. The outdoor seating was so very comfortable with a unique sort of panache that I would love to have at my neighborhood coffeeshop. The raked gravel was a nice touch. And even though they didn't have indoor seating with the drizzly day, it was a highlight that I will be repeating in our future travels.
