    Burger, fries, small salad

I can't believe it took me so long to try this place!! I'm vegan and love that the menu items can be non dairy for the same price. Staff is super friendly and the place is very clean and cute. I got a burger, fries, and salad combo for $8, crazy!! The burger came with a house made cheese sauce and the fries were piping hot and fresh! There's also a sauce and pickle bar, which I always appreciate. Portions are exactly what you'd want and food is affordable without sacrificing taste or quality. Take out or dine in, check out Darlene's Veg!

Combo Burrito ("meat" + cheese + beans + sauce) is awesome. $5 and it's 3 x bigger than Taco Bell.

Amazing friendly service. Fun quirky and spotless dining room. Comfort food! The food is quick, delicious and inexpensive. Everything can be vegan but they also have real cheese on request.

Hidden gem! I felt like I was transported to the 80's while simultaneously in Stranger Things. Delicious food (shout out to the lentil bowl), very clean and quick. They also have nishijin machines for fun, 3 interdimentional clocks on the wall for when you need to tell time in another universe, annnd the owners are just the sweetest people. Just go

We got a table pretty much immediately. We sat outside, initially at a table right by the wall. We could smell the dumpster so it wasn't great, but once another table opened we were offered the option to move and we took it. The new table was much better - no smell and it was next to a heater so it was nice and cozy. The outdoor patio is pretty cute and the fresh air was nice! I have a soy allergy so I had to ask the waitress for an allergen list to make sure I would be okay. They were very nice and accommodating and told me what was and wasn't safe to eat. I ended up getting the focaccia with white bean paste, something I was skeptical of but really liked! The bread was super delicious and the bean paste was well-seasoned. The little slice of lemon it came with was a great topper for it all too. I would definitely get it again! I also got the sparkling lavender lemonade and it was so so good. It was perfectly balanced and I couldn't stop drinking it. The food was all pretty affordable which I appreciated. Lunch and drinks for two people was about $35. They don't do tipping here, they actually pay their employees a livable wage which is fantastic. They have a pay it forward program you can donate cash to instead, it goes towards breakfast for people in need. The employees seemed happy and were very friendly. They seemed to really enjoy working here which is always a good sign. I will definitely be back here. The people are friendly and the food is delicious. They are wholesome people doing important work and we should all be supporting them. Go here!

Rude to children. I…read morewas born and raised in Eugene, I cherish my visits back home and carefully choose where to spend my time. On a July visit from Seattle we drove across town to eat here specifically so our four-year-old, who has a dairy allergy, could enjoy a vegan restaurant where he could safely order anything on the menu. Instead, it became one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had. Staff was rude and arrogant. Especially a specific woman. I wonder if it was the owner because they didn't seem to have any concern at all about their bad behavior... Our son was folding the cardstock menu into what he said would be a card for his dad when a woman, not our server, walked over, took it out of his hands, and replaced it with a sheet of plain printer paper. No explanation. No conversation with us. Just took it and walked away. My son was crying so I went to her and asked if he could have it back, it was already wrinkled from folds, no use to them, but I was told it had been thrown in the trash and that he could have "as many pieces of paper as he wanted." My four-year-old would not stop crying, and begging me for his card for dada back. I assume they felt insulated by him playing with it but he's a child, and it's a piece of cardstock, not a noisy running around brat, not a broken dish, just a piece of cardstock, which they took to throw in the trash. No one acknowledged him, apologized, or showed even a hint of compassion. We left without eating because the atmosphere had become so uncomfortable.

Casey Neill and his Norway Rats infested the place, occupying many holes stubbornly, much to our delight and ultimate benefit. For 20-plus years I've been making the pilgrimage to Eugene every few years (usually on the occasion of PIELC) -- and without fail, at some point we would end up at Sam Bond's Garage. But this year -- no Sam Bond's. It's turned into the Whit franchise of a pizza place, apparently. (No disrespect to their pizza. It's delicious.) But. What happened to my favorite bar/music spot in Eugene?? Such an unspeakable loss, if this venue is actually permanently closed. I will remain hopeful that it will be reborn... somewhere else? But if not: RIP Sam Bond's Garage. We, from near and far, loved you. Thank you for the good times you gave us all.

The food options are great. Sandwiches, hummus plate, soft pretzel, soup, and slices of pizza. Vegan and meat options and something for everyone. We've seen some great music here sitting at a table and dancing up front. There's a nice area outside that's dominated by smokers, but to each their own. We just love catching a show here!
