I like going back to places in which I gave a sub par review. Today, I ordered chicken torta and it was delicious. The bread was toasted well, there was a layer of beans and salsa, and the chicken was very flavorful. If I could compare the torta and the burrito it would completely opposites. The burrito tasted like it had no flavor. From the beans and chicken, to the salsa. I've eaten here many times and the torta was as delicious as other competitors such as Chuki's and Carmelo's. We love the food from Aceituno's and the staff always are professional and gracious to us. This location has become our go-to spot for our burrito fix in the Lake City area and we're here at least a couple times each month. We find the food to be consistent and always great. It's not fast food. It's good, fresh food made quickly. Rarely we have a bit of wait but totally worth it. The refried beans are so smooth and wonderful. We have almost the same order every time and have never been disappointed. Word to the wise: when dining Roman style (i.e.: in bed) the adobada burrito can get a little messy. read more

My cheese tamales. It's surprising a cook would send out an order like this. I used to come by for Taco Tuesday and the food was great. Since then I've ordered a quesadilla the cheese wasn't melted, corn tortillas were raw on the taco's and the churros were dark brown and over cooked and crispy. We ordered the chimichanga plate, Carne asada plate and a fish burrito. The customer service was fantastic and the portion size is very generous so that's where the two stars came in. When it comes to the food itself...where to start: not exciting and dull. Even the rice and beans don't have much flavor. Chimichanga is supposed to be deep fried but the one I got barely got a seared. There was more dough than meat. Carne asada didn't taste fresh but I'm not surprised because the time when I order via drive through to when the food is ready was within 90 seconds so I could only assume that all the meat was precooked. Was so excited when I saw this place going in but it's way overpriced and terrible. As in, I could eat half of it it was so bad. Carne Asada fries were soggy and inedible. Tried the lengua torta barely any meat in it and was mostly mayo and lettuce, super gross. Portions were small too. I can't see how this place can survive unless they make big changes. read more

TRASHFOOD!!! Slopped together, missing ingredients, no beans- $14 after tax nachos with no meat and it was a tray of cold chips with a little of cold cheese SPRINKLED ON TOP! Trash. Like many locals to the Lake City area, we were eagerly awaiting the Grand Opening of Aceitunos! And now... the day has arrived, and they did not disappoint!! The outside was clean, the menu was easy to read, and the interior looked nice, too. We just ordered at the drive-thru and took it home. We ordered a variety of soft and crispy tacos. The portions were perfect, and the crispy tacos reminded me of the crispy tacos I used to get as a child back home in Cali. The staff was friendly and the service was quick- especially for opening night. We will definitely be back again to try other items on the menu! read more

I ordered AND PAID FOR SIX Crispy Tacos and only received FOUR. I didn't notice until I returned home. I love the food and the service, but y'all shorted me on me and my kid's dinner. Super excited about this addition to the neighborhood. I have only been here once so far, but will definitely be back. This place is pretty good, it is a more authentic taco shop so I felt it necessary to start with some basics: Tacos - on corn tortillas, not crunchy (Spicy Pork or Adobada, Asada & Carnitas), Mulitas (Asada) and beans. The food is very fresh, flavor is great, the meats are cooked well & not dry and the prices are awesome. Note on pricing: please keep in mind inflation/costs on everything right now, so it might seem a little more spendy than your used to, but that's gonna be everywhere (we spent $22 for 6 tacos and 2 mulitas) and bonus- Taco Tuesday deals where tacos are $1.50! There is indoor seating and a drive-thru, when we went on a Sunday afternoon the service was super quick, in & out within 5 mins. read more

We decided to try this place after driving by it numerous times. My advice is keep on driving! We ordered some asada and carnitas soft tacos which were underwhelming. My carnitas tacos were tasteless other than the raw onions and cilantro. The asada tacos were tough and seasoned with taco seasoning. The salsa they had no flavor either. We ate in the restaurant which was clean but reeked of strong cleaning solution. I would have rather gone to Taco Bell down the street over this place. I went to this place when it initially opened and spent way too much money on some of the worst version of Mexican food. I got the Carne Asada plate - close to like 20 bucks. The asada had no flavor and was chewy, the rice was clearly not prepared correctly-like it was not fried prior to adding the water. Just not worth the money. read more

Update: after several trips, this place is incredibly hit or miss- they have a couple of items that are good, the rest is garbage. I want a refund for this slop which is a so called quesadilla. The food here is very fresh and they have some thing called the taco box.... it comes with 20 tacos and a side of beans and rice and chips and salsa. It's enough to feed at least five people. My favorite item to get there is the fish tacos. My husband really likes the bean and cheese burritos. They don't skimp when it comes to those! I was looking forward to their opening as an alternative to other nearby establishments that have proven to be disappointing. The #9 Chimichanga combo was my choice and while large in appearance, it was mainly refried beans and rice with a tortilla wrap filled with only lengua. Virtually impossible to saw through with a serrated knife and tough meat as well. It would appear their preparation is geared towards a clientele that is not desirous of enjoying an ethnic meal. Ordinarily our family loves Mexican food and have rarely been so disappointed. I was very excited about this new Mexican food restaurant. Not many around Lake city so i was pumped to try. We went for dinner and we grabbed carne asada Nachos . 3 tacos lengua. Asada and alpastor. Side rice and beans and my total was $35. Something kinda expensive but oh well we were excited. Disappointed all tacos were all dull. No flavor asada was hard and with lots of fat pieces of fat Lengua just tasted boiled no flavor at all!!! My nachos same bunch of tortillas I couldn't find my beans or sour cream. This is one of the sadder reviews I've had to write. Because I love Mexican food. Specifically I love the San Diego style of Mexican food that is otherwise only found in Seattle at Alibertos, and even there the food is only 65% of the quality found in SD. So when this place opened, a mere three minutes from my house, I was beyond excited. If this place turned out to be legit, it would increase my quality of life here in Seattle by 200%. Alas, this place is not good. Service is great, nothing wrong there. But the food is bland. The carne asada burrito, the measuring stick for all Mexican fast food, was near flavorless. In fact, it was kinda bizarre, with raw onions being the dominant flavor/filling. And I'm not one of those purists who can't accept rice in my carne asada burrito, but if it's going to be in there, it better add something. Instead, here it's just tasteless filler.
