That's not the point of this post though. But I needed to say it aloud to make my future steps easier to stomach. Anyway so yeah yesterday at Costco the clutch pedal was depressed. Like I had to "flip" it up to engage the gears. I figured this was the swan song but I rolled the dice with some errands I had to do today. Chile I went to get my mama a Diet Coke and the clutch got real spongy. Thankfully I was in the Kmart lot - thought I could run it the last 1.5 miles home but Bonnie Blue (don't @me. I love GWTW) gave it all she had in the middle of JFK. Which was nothing. Ahem. I called a couple of tow companies (either no drivers, too far, or like the last place said "Maam call the cops you're in the middle of traffic." lmaaoooo So I called them - they were on scene within minutes and the company they called happened to have a driver posted up in the same Kmart lot I was in just minutes before. Mind you this was also the first place I called who told me they had no drivers available ::EYEBROWS RAISED EXTREMELY HIGH:: but I guess it all worked out in the end. The tow operator was friendly, amiable and efficient. Towed it back to my house where it will sit before I decide to fix it or slide into something more comfortable (a Porsche 911). Cost me $131 for the tow to my house. Which frankly was cheaper than I thought and just shy of the renewal fee for my lapsed AAA. AND WHAT DID WE LEARN TODAY CLASS?? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Renew your AAA. And if you don't then call A&G.

Thank God I was not hurt. I have free towing with AAA and this company is who AAA sent. I was so surprised when the same tow truck driver who towed me five years ago arrived. He was working for a different company back then and I left him a five star review then too. That was when I got this same Toyota Prius stuck in the mud trying to go off-roading, which in a Prius, is ill-advised. Alec remembered that tow and we had a lively chat as he towed me home this time. He really is a sweetheart and his banter cheered me up. I hope you don't need a tow but if you do, I recommend calling A & G.

My car is a 13 year old car, but it didn't have a red interior that was "sun damaged" when dropped off. My driver seat didn't break because it was a 2010 car. I never dropped the car off with a broken driver seat . FYI In order to adjust the seats you touch the buttons on the door not the chair itself. This would be known to techs that work on Mercedes regularly. When you mentioned that I never came in for a smoke smell, of course I didn't. When I mentioned the smoke smell you told me "oh that's a problem". Yet it wasn't even addressed. That's real safe. I also didn't come in for all the problems that were created to my car like a slow start up when originally my car had a strong start up prior to being worked on. My fuel gauge was also working and I was able to tell how much gas I had in my tank. After you replaced my fuel pump I was losing a significant amount of gas which was displayed by the gas gauge and I called you on my drive to work to complain about the problem. That same day I smelled the smoke smell and my car almost didn't start up to get back home. I had just gotten my car from you the day prior. I dropped off my car for you to " fix the fuel gauge" and now the problem was worse than the second time. How does my car get worse every time it gets worked on at your shop. When someone fixes something it's supposed to fix the problem not create new ones that weren't there upon drop off. Go ahead tell me that it's all because it's a 2010 car. My car was in great shape and running great prior to being dropped off and worked on at your shop. Since my last previous review my car now sounds like something is loose when you start it up. As each day unfolds day by day new problems pop up after you guys worked on it. I recommend you get techs who are skilled in Mercedes Benz before they work on them, you're only damaging them if not. The amount of ways that all of this has ruined my life is in more ways than I care to write about on here.

I explained that my company only issues spare keys in emergency situations and asked if he could continue searching for the missing key. Instead of addressing the issue, he responded dismissively, telling me to stop focusing (dwelling) on the key and implying that if my vehicle had been in an accident, it wouldn't be in the shop. I reiterated that it is the shop's responsibility to keep track of the vehicle key. He then replied, "Well, I won't have it until next week." He then intentionally hung up on me while speaking. Additionally, I was informed that the necessary parts are on backorder, meaning my car will not be repaired anytime soon. Overall, my experience was very unpleasant, and I would strongly advise against using this shop. The owner seemed very prejudiced as well. If you're an organization with a fleet of vehicles. Wow! Mr. Hook Towing saved the day!…read more First, they picked up the phone right away and immediately asked important questions I hadn't thought about. After assessing the difficulty of the tow (a vehicle without keys, parked on a residential street in-between two other parked cars) they quoted a totally fair and reasonable price. Since, without keys, the vehicle couldn't be moved out of its parking spot in a traditional way, they actually found a neighbor to move their car so the tow truck could get behind our vehicle. This is an incredibly thorough and smart level of service. Once the vehicle was dropped off at its destination, Mr. Hook Towing sent photos to show exactly where it was parked. Then, ini minutes, I was able to pay over the phone and got an emailed receipt.
