Don't use them if your moving to Hawaii or anywhere. They Destroyed my belongings, and didn't box or protect my TV, or Computers. For us, a long move was from San Jose to San Clemente. The timing was critical for us and Ace accommodated our schedule perfectly. A move coordinator was assigned and was available to help make the move as simple as possible. On move day, the driver and crew showed up, conducted themselves professionally and the move was "in progress." At our destination, the driver and crew unloaded our furniture and boxes, assembled the furniture and made the accounting of the items as simple as possible. From the other reviews I find either you love them or hate them. I did not use them to move just had problems with them when they were moving someone else out of my condo complex. Never encounter such rude drivers/movers as these guys. They are moving a resident out of the condo complex and have been blocking a driveway all day since before 9 AM it is now 4:45PM and have yet to load one item into the truck. These delivery people think that they are entitled. They fail to realize that this is private property. They are a guess on our property. And must follow our rules. They have been rude to two homeowners that I know of and I would bet there has been others. I would never recommend them to anyone based on their people skills. I called and reached the operation manager at the San Diego office he was polite and understanding. About these issues. They only have about 2 hours left before move in/out time is over. read more

Ace Relocation Systems in San Jose has helped us with moves several times in the last year. I can't say enough good things about them. They are professional and courteous and always on time. They are flexible with pick-ups (we had things stored at their warehouse as well as Public Storage). They are great at making sure nothing gets banged up or dented. They set up and break down beds and other furniture as needed. They place everything right where you want it. The place we moved to today has a one car garage and they were very creative, measuring and "designing" how to put storage boxes in the garage and still have the car fit in. I couldn' t believe they got everything to fit so nicely, I was sure I was going to have to park outside until we got completely unpacked!. Horrible.. Horrible Horrible Movers. Crew is absolutely rude and even one of them fought with me. I had a corporate move from San diego to Bay area. These movers ridiculously packed our stuff. For 2 bed room house, they did 237 boxes. In one of the box, they had only wrapping papers for 1 hat. Dis-assembled all of our furniture at original location and did no assembling back of it even though it was in their order to do it. Left 237 boxes to open and lots of empty moving boxes and papers left at our house to be taken care by us only. Asked for $110 to remove empty boxes and other debris. Very poor service that adds stress to moving. Lots of mishandling of my stuff tpp. I would recommend to do your packing through any other company at all but not this one. read more

We just used Ace for our relocation from the Bay Area up to Washington and it went great. We worked with Scott to schedule everything, and he was very helpful and responsive even after numerous changes. Javier, Junior, Paulito and Enrique was our crew doing the packing and loading and they were extremely friendly and careful. The only dish that broke in transit was one I had packed myself ... should have had them pack everything! Everything was delivered on time by Al and his team up in Washington. We only had one casualty, a dining chair leg that broke off completely but hope to get that squared away shortly. Overall, I was very impressed with the responsiveness and care that Ace took with our belongings. Would definitely use them again. read more

THE WORST MOVERS I HAVE EVER USED. Do yourself a favor and use ANYONE else -- they mishandled my furniture and boxes and didn't wrap my couch or my mattress, so that they arrived dirty and ripped. Customer service was lacking and the claims process was awful. read more

These guys were all great! The estimator was right on. The movers showed up 30 mins late but that gave me more time to pack. They hopped off the truck, stuck out their hands and introduced themselves. These guys were pros! We reviewed my box codes and they went to work. My 2 bdrm house was packed up in 2 hrs, 45 mins travel and 2 hrs to move in. They wrapped my furniture in blankets secured with huge rubber bands, carried it upstairs on their backs, unpacked it, lifted it up and asked where i wanted it! VERY professional, aware, concerned. Nothing was damaged or broken; I will definitely use them again. read more

RUN!!!!! We used Ace/Atlas to move our daughter from Austin to Madison and we were totally ripped off. Eric was so nice and helpful at the beginning and we were given a quote but the delivery date did not work for us. Eric then gave us a new quote that was $750.00 more to have it delivered by the date we needed. We agreed to this because it was so important we received the furniture by that day. They promised us up until the day before delivery it would be there and then they told us it would be a day late. When I said I wouldn't pay the extra $750.00 they said I had to pay to get my furniture and then could file a claim after for my refund. Guess what- they then offered me only $200.00 back because they were only a day late. I told them only a fool would agree to pay $750.00 extra for a certain delivery date and agree to get paid back portions for every day they are late. They will not pay me the money so I'm just out $750.00. This place it a scam-they will promise you anything for your business but once they get their money they don't care. read more

Besides the agent who came out and gave an estimate, Atlas Van Lines or Ace Relocation Systems are beyond unprofessional and doesn't care about the customers at all! Lets start with how rude the truck operators are rude and down right nasty. upon arrival the driver's brother and co packer decided he wanted to sit in my kitchen before starting and not asking and eat his breakfast, then leave his trash for us to clean. Next he pisses all over out toilet and doesn't clean it. Once it came time to deliver our goods, we were told the truck operator was suppose to come by the day before to make sure he could get his truck through to deliver our things and guess what they didn't show! So we ended up paying for another shuttle and more money for his labor, lol! Oh lets not forget how he pleaded with my husband to not pay with a credit card and just pay him in cash because he didn't want the IRS to know how much he makes which sounds like a crook to me... He then said he would give us $20 dollars back if we would not allow him to have to put our table back together. The rudeness also continued with the operator's brother who could barely even carry anything from the truck to the house. they had to call another younger guy who was sweet as ever. Oh but lets not forget the most exciting part... FLEAS!!!!!!! Once laying out our area rug and our 2 year old son's race car rug in his room. He was super excited to see it again and began playing we noticed he started itching and claiming something was hurting so i end up checking it and low AND BEYOND ITS FLEAS ALL OVER OUR RUGS!!!! Keep in mind we had been in the home 2 days already and had no problems whatsoever until we pulled out the rugs and also found a bitten dog milk bone attached to our stuff as well. So either the truck driver is riding around with a flea infested dog our it traveled from the other customers things. We ended up getting in contact with Atlas but guess what? They are trying to deny it all and was are not done and i will leave an review and continue to call corporate until something is done. DO not go with Atlas Van Lines they only care about the money and will take up and defend their crooked truck operators who try to evade the IRS and be rude and conniving. read more

I hired Atlas Van Lines to facilitate a local move on 11/21. The drivers showed up late, did not follow direction, moved extremely slow, and the foreman was constantly on the phone. I hired the company for three hours, so every minute was precious to me. I prepared for the move by putting a large amount of the boxes outside, and the remainder in the front room, by the door. Everything was labeled and ready to go. I was in another room getting some things together when the foreman asked me to enter the room he was working in. He put shrink wrap around my couches, cushioned ottoman table & side table, & book case. He then proceeded to tell me how much each item cost for wrapping. I did not authorize him to wrap these items and no where in my contract did it state that these items needed to be wrapped. I asked the foreman to continue with loading the truck and to not wrap any other items with out my consent. I left the room and called the company to inquire about the items the foreman was wrapping. The dispatcher told me that these items needed to be wrapped to go on the truck even though the contract did not state that. When I re-entered the room, the foreman had wrapped a dresser and several other items. At this point, two of my three hours had been used and not even of my things were in the truck. I asked them to please pack the items they had prepped and leave the rest so that we could go to the other location before my time ran out. They slowly put the items in the truck and then proceed to sit there for 15 min doing who knows what. Finally we reached the new location and the foreman presented me with the bill. He said they would not unload the items until I paid them in full. To my surprise the bill went from the $223.20 I was quoted to $628.77. He then proceeded to tell me I had to pay in cash. I was very upset, and phoned the office to inquire why the bill was so high, and why the foreman demanded cash when the contract did not state that, and they had my credit card number on file. The dispatcher was rude and hostile and said I had to pay in cash or they wouldn't release my items. I refused. I asked for a manger but was told there wasn't one available to speak with since it was Saturday. I was told I had to wait until Monday. I reluctantly agreed to pay the amount and speak to the manager on Monday since I didn't have much of a choice. I had to get my things, and felt threatened by the company so I agreed to pay the outrageous amount and figured I would speak with the manager on Monday for my refund. Next they demanded I pay the full amount in cash. Nowhere in my contract did it state I had to pay in cash, and when reserving the company I gave my credit card number over the phone. I was told I could pay by card but the foreman supposedly did not have a slip to process the card. For the next hour several calls were made from myself to the office, and the manager to the foreman. They continued to demand cash, and I continued to refuse. Finally they conceded and used my credit card number on file and the foreman magically produced a credit card slip. When I received my receipt by email, another company's name was on it. Shamrock Van Lines. I have placed several calls to the company and no one had called me back. I plan to dispute this charge with my credit card company, but I feel like this company should have some sort of consequence for their actions. I would also like to help prevent this from happening to other people in the future. read more

We hired ACE to move us from Campbell to Washington State....what an amazingly positive experience...Eric Galpine came to our home to provide the quote. Very pleasant professional man. When we decided to chose ACE Eric came out to the house again with the contract for us to sign and a huge stack of moving boxes and packing paper. Saved us driving over to get them and was much appreciated. Jeanette was our coordinator and she too was excellent. Packing day arrived and Gene Ziegler and his incredible team ( I sadly do not remember their names ) were really impressive. Loading day was amazing and the day the van arrived in Washington (in 3 days) was also amazing! Gene had another local team ( again I don't remember their names) but they were also polite, friendly and very competent and professional. They were all so conscientious padding doorways, door jams and covering floors before they moved anything in. Everything that they packed was done so with an amazing amount of care and to date I have not seen as much as a chip or mark on anything...We were very apprehensive about choosing a mover and we interviewed a few of them..ACE Relocation Services and their staff were above and beyond helpful.I would recommend them with confidence. The price were were quoted was exactly what came in when it was all delivered. No up charges and no surprises. This review is for Ace Relocation Systems out of San Marcos, Texas. After what appeared to be a smooth + professional moving experience at origin + destination, I discovered 2 boxes that had been sliced opened. Stolen from boxes were a family heirloom quilt + additional blanket + tax filings paperwork. Not only upset over loss of lovely quilt, but now extremely worried about identify theft. What are these thugs doing with my tax filings paperwork??? After removal of contents, boxes were cleverly cut down to appear square + tight, then re-taped with cheap brown tape over my white tape. Which thug had that amount of time inside of truck without supervision??? It happened to be my birthday on moving day. "Friendly," "professional," honest" movers happily sang "Happy Birthday"...all the while stealing valuables + important paperwork behind my back! I've provided Orange County Sheriff Department all the information they need to investigate owner/operator of truck. read more

I chose Ace for my move from the bay to LA b/c of their reputation and binding prices. They came to my house to take a survey of the items I wanted moved so they could give me an accurate weight estimate. Whatever you do, DON'T let them talk you into signing a binding estimate or sell you any packing or boxing with your package. I initially signed a binding estimate quote, but luckily a few days before the move I decided to go with a "not to exceed" quote instead. The guy who came to do the survey assured me that his quote would be very accurate, but my actual weight went over by 2,000 lbs!!! Also, when I got the package deal, I was't sure if I wanted to pack up my TV myself or have them wrap it, so they recommended that I just include it into the deal b/c as long as I didn't use it they could always remove the extra packing charge. Well that was a lie as well. They told me after they dropped off my things that since my weight went over the quoted weight I can't remove the extra packing fee (I packed my own TV). And if I wanted to remove the packing fee then I have to pay for the actual weight (which was 2,000 lbs over my quoted weight) at a higher rate. So much for binding and not to exceed quotes. If you end up choosing Ace make sure you read all the fine print otherwise you'll end up paying for more services than you actually used. On a side note, the actual movers were great! They took care of all of my belongings and placed all of my things exactly where I wanted them. Too bad I will never use/refer then again. read more

This is highly recommended service. After my call for quota, Scott visit our home the same day. We back and forth discussed the cost and he suggested us to find a separate piano remover to reduce the cost (we did following his suggestion and saved significantly). Michelle is our relocation coordinator throughout the move process. She is very thoughtful and nice. The move out date was set for Friday, 1/20/17 and move in date set for Saturday, 1/21/17. The 3-person team arrived before 9am, Fred is the driver, Nicolas and Victor are the helpers. After realizing the well preparation of the stuff at our house, Fred thought they might finish the loading and delivery the same day (that is we like to see). They finished the loading at noon and arrived the new home just after 3pm and left before 7pm. They did a very good job, no any damage. Fred is very skillful and adept; the two helpers are careful and hard worker. We are very happy. All the people we met during the process are super responsible. read more
